  1. I'm wanting to create my first mod, I haven't created one since Warcraft 3 and even then the tools were stupidly easy to use for that game. The mod would be an item you'd spawn in (Don't have to worry about placement lists and such) which would go into your inventory. The weapon would start out with the damage of a fork and would have the skin of a Drainheart Sword, but with a different effect. The effect would be based on what types of races you have killed with it, so killing a high elf would give a tiny amount of magika regen (1% faster regen or lower) or killing a Dunmer would result in adding fire damage to the weapon. The more of that race that you kill, the higher the bonus would get. Would something like this require using the script extender, or is it possible to create this using the in game tools?
  2. In Skyrim, there are 11 Dragon Claws. they all open certain doors but after that function is complete, there is no purpose other than selling them. This mod idea would change this, adding a quest involving all of the Dragon Claws A brief summary: After receiving a note from a courier, you get directed by someone who has been watching you get all 11 dragon claws (If this is possible, I've never modded Skyrim before, so obviously if you can't have that as a condition, perhaps after you've completed all the quests involving the Dragon Claws?). The note mentions a 12th Dragon Claw (The Silver Dragon Claw) and an area where all 12 claws are needed to unlock a weapon/armor/whatever the modder decides. I just think that the current Dragon Claws are a complete waste. Obviously this would be a rather simple quest compared to a ton of other quests out there, but it'd be neat to actually get some benefit to the claws.
  3. I can't change server (It says the others are premium) and my download is currently going at 26 kbps. The ETA is 361:46 and I'm only downloading one mod at the moment. Please help, as waiting 6 hours for a mod is quite extreme.. I've allowed Nexus Mod Manager through my firewall, tried downloading directly from the website, all methods result in ungodly waits. Is it because I'm from Australia?

I'm not sure if this has been done and I've just not found it or what, but here is the basic idea: Every type of weapon (Daggers, Bows, Swords ect.) could have a craftable or findable version that gets stronger each kill you do with it. The original Ebony Blade starts out draining 10 health and after killing 10 friendly npc's, it will drain 30 per hit. The way I could see this working would be instead of draining health, it does extra damage and raises the damage every 20 kills with the weapon (Against anyone, not just friendlies like the Ebony Blade) The catch being, every weapon would level up differently and start out extremely weak as to add challenge.
