I married Brelyna Maryon. I don't now about others, but she gets the gold in her inventory even away from home. When at home she tends to have a basic, mechanical routine. I actually don't leave her at home often. . . shes's a skilled mage and I usuall bring her with on quests.

I've had this problem as well, but milder than most people. Sometimes it closes every few minutes, but sometimes it takes hours to even close once.

Wait, if the patch wasn't downloaded on my pc, doesn't that mean that some mods made for versions with the patch won't work for me?
-
I'm a bit confused right now. I was expecting my copy of Skyrim to be destroyed by Steam, yet it runs exactly as it did before. I never even had a download screen or anything. Do I manually have to go to Steam and download the patch? Will it just start to download randomly? Anyone know what's up?

You're kidding, right? No Skyrim script extender? Oh god. I hope that's not right. If there really is no more script extender, then I think most of the advanced mods will be impossible to make.

There are places to mine ebony at the top of the throat of the world, where you meet. . . Parthuurnax, by the notched pickaxe. There's no trail, so you have to jump/slide/ and almost glitch your way up, as far as I know.

The same thing happens when you equp the Archmage's robes and Morokei. This is especially odd, because you get them within an hour of eachother from the same quest-line, and they're both high-grade mage items. You'd think Bethesda would expect players to try to equip them together, and test accordingly. Hopefully Bethesda's upcoming patches will fix this, as the glithes are pretty easy-to-find.

As a mage, i have to aim and dodge quickly in small hallways, and I almost always have a follower with me. I'll bet this happens to a lot of people- both melee and ranged fighters- you get stuck behind your ally, or can't back up past them to retreat. I think I good (hopefully simple) mod would be one that allows you to walk by them. Not through them (don't make them ghosts or anything), but enough of a modification to slip by them in tight hallways. It would probably add to realism and save a lot of grief.
I'm not sure what this mod would entail, so I'm not sure if it can be done without the construction set.

I actually like the dark elves. The Altmer are so-so, but the Bosmer and Dunmer I believe have undergone positive changes. The alien look gives them a cool, unique style when compared to a lot of fantasy elves. I understand how people could dislike them, but I won't personally be downloading any elf appearance mods.

These are files you need to delete, check that they are all gone - after that game just can't add any extra chairs there
textures/clutter/common/ : crossdresser01.dds, dresser01.dds, dresser01_n.dds
textures/clutter/ : furniturewood01.dds, furniturewood01_n.dds
Yep, those are gone. My house is proudspire manor, in Solitude. Does anyone know if that typically has chair glitches?

The mod was called HD furniture_hi-res texture replacer.
-
I installed a mod which was merely supposed to retexture furniture. Instead, when I walk into my house, new chairs overlap with the old chairs. There was no .esp and no meshes, so how could a texture file spawn new chairs? It couldn't! Any idea what could have happened and how to fix it?
I already deleted the new textures, but the overlapping chairs, impossibly, remain.
I analyzed the mod's contents, and the only thing in there was textures, so IDK how that could create such an odd bug which refuses to go away after an uninstall and clean load...

I prefer flame for two reasons. A, appearance. B (and this is more important), it's good against trolls, which murder me easily at my level.

The nexus isn't that bad for this, but almost every other forum I go on is whining about how there are only one or two attractive npcs in the entire game. A lot of people have gone so far as to call every single npc in the game such delightful terms as "uggo" and "fugly". Seriously? I mean, they aren't complete gender stereotypes like Final Fantasy characters, but I take that to be a good thing. I find grown women with the faces of children to be disturbing. I'm proud of Bethesda for making a game that has characters that are more than porcelain dolls.
Anyone agree with me? Does anyone else prefer the people of Skyrim to the people of other modern games?

It's almost the same for me. The game will be running fine. The heat levels are fine- the lowest heat rating my parts have is for 60 degrees celsius, and I never break 55 degrees. Sometimes the game will take six hours or more to crash, and other times it takes a half an hour. But it always crashes. The screen just goes black, and I have to restart my entire rig. At least I'm not as unlucky as some people, who it seems have to restart every five minutes.

Hello people. . .
I'm not sure if this is the right section for this, but how do I upload images to the section reserved for screenshots?

Caves and nights in Skyrim are too bright for my liking. I haven't had to use a torch yet, though I've used a couple of light spells to find small objects amid clutter. Ideally, you shouldn't be able to see in a cave without a torch. (ruins populated by Draugr are a toss-up) The only reason I need extra light as-is is to search for keys or gold in dark corners.

Ha ha! I read Cracked all the time. That article is indeed funny.

I don't know who I'll support yet. I'm around twenty hours into the game. The Imperials shouldn't be ruling Skyrim, of course, and their soldiers are a front for the Thalmor/elves. They're clearly in the wrong for trying to control the beliefs and actions of an independent nation. But on the other hand, the Stormcloaks are highly racist towards elves and mages, and want to force them out of Skyrim. Plus, the Imperials have a higher opinion of mages and intellectuals, which I admire. I'm a Breton, but my wife and trusted companion, Brelyna Maryon, is a Dark Elf, so I'll have to seemore of both sides before I choose.
Ideally, the Nords and Imperials would form an alliance to raze the Thalmor, get the Imperials their government and cities back, and the Imperials would then honor their side of an agreement and leave Skyrim. But that's pobably not going to happen. No spoilers, please.

I agree, to an extent. I heart realism mods. . . but I'd probably alter realistic health. I want realistic sleeping, eating, and lower health max limits, but for fun's sake I'd probably keep health regen or speed it up. Otherwise I end up backtracking four miles to find a bowl of soup. I'd like to die in a couple of hits, but I don't want one bad move at the beginning to cripple the rest of my quest.
I give it about three weeks until someone makes a mod like this. If there's no indication of such a mod by then, I'm going to try to make one.

In real life, I'm a very reserved and quiet person. I rarely insult people I don't like, and I never harm them. So, in Skyrim, I'm going to play as a mage, I'm going to enter a bar, and I'm going to K.O the first person who says something I find offensive. I will stand atop a table and shield-bash them to death while laughing crazily.

Lol. The guy says he doesn't want gay people in the game, and it's no big deal. Imagine what the reaction would be if he said he didn't want black people in the game.
Same thing, folks.

As far as I know, torches are the only held light sources in Skyrim. Would some kind modder care to fix this by adding lanterns which can also be dropped and function as stationary lighting?
-
That's good. Now hopefully, player health is lower to compensate for that. In Oblivion right now, I have some realism mods downloaded- both I and most enemies die in 2-4 hits. It plays really fast. Gameplay is frantic. It actually feels pretty realistic and exciting, knowing that I could die at any time.

Can anyone identify these clothes?
