[Random missing textures in the institute]

99% sure that's to do with Eli_Faction Housing Overhaul - Railroad HQ.esp

 

I installed all of her Housing Overhaul mods, and I had that glitch in both the Institute and Railroad. I had to get rid of the Director's Quarters AND the Railroad HQ esp files to fix it. All I can suggest is updating the mod, sorting your load order, and if that fails, disabling it.

[1.10 Crash on Launch Fix]

A lot of us have been immediately crashing to desktop with the Creation Club update, and there's a literal tonne of threads about it, so I figured I'd just put the answer here. Thanks to a few other users, this should fix all the problems with launching:

 

1. Update F4SE to be version compatible with 1.10.

 

2. Update any F4SE plug-ins you have (Place Anywhere, Vertibird Jump, etc). If they haven't been updated, delete them. You can find their files in Fallout 4>Data>F4SE>Plugins, as well as Fallout 4>Fallout4>F4SE.

 

3. Navigate to Fallout 4>Data>Interface, and find the Shockwave Flash file "MainMenu." A lot of UI mods install this. If you know what they are, update your UI mods to a version released after Creation Club came out. If you can't do that, or if the game still crashes, delete "MainMenu."

 

4. If you're still getting crashes, like I was, update or disable your scrapping mod (Scrap Everything, Spring Cleaning, etc), depending on if a new release is out.

 

For my Fallout 4 to work, I had to update F4SE and all of its plug-ins, delete "MainMenu," and disable Scrap Everything, at least until it's updated, and the game now works for me.

[Immediate crash on launch with new update.]

 

 

Disable the mods, Spring Cleaning, Place Anywhere and Scrap Everything (wich i think its the same as Spring Cleaning).

Place Anywhere, and all of my F4SE plugins, have all been updated to the latest version of the game, so I've re-installed them. I've also disabled Scrapy Everything, which hasn't been updated, but it still isn't working. Black screen before "Please Stand By," Geforce popup appears, then bam. Ctd.

it isn't even an .esp, or a plugin, is just an "interface file" It seems some files like these could crash the game running on the last update, hope this helps someone else

 

I don't have that mod, or any other like it. The only non plug-in mods I have are 2 or 3 sound-replacers for EXP gain and such. Tried getting rid of them already, not what's causing this.

Just updated to the latest version of the game. I've also updated F4SE and Achievements, and deleted my other F4SE plugins (Rename anything, place everywhere, vertibird jump, and console name fix) until they get updated. However, when I launch the game, I get the black screen before the Bethesda Logo, then the game ctds. Wondering if it's a problem with the new update, or one of the mods I've got. Load order sorted with LOOT yesterday.
