  1. Hello, Could I please get some help with the Fallout 3 Mod Manager load order, what is the correct way? I know .esm are the main files and the .esp are the plugins. Fallout3.esm should be first, then the DLC's? Then with the mods I have installed do I put the esm in order then their associated .esp underneath? What I have been doing it sticking the .esm at the top under fallout3 and then under the mods I put the .esp files, so the DCInteriors_ComboEdition.esm would be followed by DC_Interiors_DLC_Collectables.esp, then the same for the others. Is that right? Thanks Jingo
  2. What's the name of the mod that enables this? I'm also just wandering the waste land not following the main quest and leveling fast. I've tried searching, so far I find mods for increasing / decreasing XP rates only.
  3. I've taken this snippet from one of my other posts! Deathclaws. I'll only seen two so far. I've stopped playing the main quest and just rambling around the waste land. My first Deathclaw was half dead, so a missile finished it off. I was in front of Alexandria Arms Hotel. The second was a big surprise, I'd found the MDPL-13 power station. I went into the small sub station office just behind it, I looked right and then left, and holy sh*t a massive Deathclaw in the friggin room with me, just standing there and facing away from me...it actually made me jump...So knelt and sneaked, got to the side of it, then once in front of it it saw me and all hell broke loose. I was almost dead before I got out of the building, once outside the thing followed me out. A couple of close Bottlecap mines and it was dead, I was crippled and almost dead. Very thrilling.
  4. Hi All, I've just started playing FO3 GOTY edition. Really enjoying it. So far I've had some surprising experiences which have made me jump, smile and think "wow that's weird". Sorry if any spoilers may be mentioned, I've tried to remove them though keep my stories accurate. I'm playing "very hard" mode. The first I'll share with you is about Deathclaws. I'll only seen two so far. I've stopped playing the main quest and just rambling around the waste land. My first Deathclaw was half dead, so a missile finished it off. I went back to Vault 101, went up on to the half collapsed motorway over pass. A few bandits, no problem. Then two pop out the back of a truck both armed with Chinese officer's sword, I had one, so a sword fight occurred! Pretty cool how they block as well, rush in and out, and circle. Killed them, picked up their swords and repaired mine to 100%. That made me smile. Finally, I found Grayditch, was sorting out the Fire Ants and exploring the Marigold Station tunnels. I opened one door and this guy appears right in front of me, I don't know what happened, he was kind of floating and took up my whole screen, all I saw was white so I just fired one reactionary shot with my combat shot gun, I'd practically jumped out of my seat. Well he's important to that part of the game, he ran off and I couldn't find him... Share your experiences!
  5. Thanks for the advice, I'd wouldn't have know to check that. I've changed ini files before for other games to get them stable. I'll also update my graphics driver. I also get the enemy bodies bouncing around, I've had it where I've returned to an area days later and Mirelurks are still twitching away.
  6. Hi All, I'm new to this forum, I recently picked up Fallout 3 GOTY edition and just got stuck in. Now I'm noticing weird bugs, seems that reporting bugs is nothing new to Fallout 3 from what I have seen. I'd like to know: "How do I check my current version level ?" and "What is the current most stable version?". I'm running vanilla Fallout 3 GOTY edition. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit with a decent spec computer (see profile). The bugs I have: - Sometimes when reloading a game and I'm inside a building it will freeze. - Sometimes entering a building it will freeze. - Sometimes VATs will just freeze. - Enemies are under the ground, I can only see portions of them sticking up through the ground. Or they are tilted and facing skywards and running round. I once snicked up to two super mutants, hit them with a missile launcher, they fell off the wall into the water. One was treading water in the wall, the other was underground. Are these common? Thanks Jingo
  7. New York would be great and I would all, too, like to see vehicles. I'd love New York with the Subways and Skyscrapers, would be cool if people lived higher up in the skyscrapers and used bridges to move around and never venture to the ground level as it was too dangerous.
  8. Hi All, I just picked up Fallout 3 GOTY from EB games cheaper than Steam. I started playing Fallout 3 after completing all the "Shadow of Chernobyl" games. I like the survivalist / scavenging / rpg / fps game play of the games. Looking at Fallout 3 I thought I'd give it a go. I've never played the first two, and so far have really enjoyed it. I'm glad I've found a modding community as I often mod games to make them last longer.
