  1. I've just been looking for this exact thing! We had it for Fallout. I like having a large crew and would love to call them all to the conference room. Cheers.
  2. Vortex now has an update and is recommending that we purge mods before reinstalling. It also links to this page: Patch 7 Troubleshooting | BG3 Modding Community Wiki Hopefully, this will resolve it.
  3. Thanks, mate. It has been a while since I posted here, and I didn't notice the specific game forum. Cheers.
  4. Originally posted in the (wrong) PC section. s. Cheers.
  5. Greetings, So, patch 7 brought its own mod manager, mod toolkit and "in-house" mods. I'm confused about the new mod manager introduced in patch 7. Does this mean we should no longer be using Vortex? Will continuing to use Vortex cause issues? I'm sure many of you are also trying to figure this out. I can't continue my game or start a new one currently. It is highly likely that this is because not all of the mods I use have been updated yet. What is concerning, though, is that when I look in the new built-in mod manager, mods become unchecked even after I've checked them. I'm also faced with "unresolved mod issues detected" but with no option to do anything. Then, there is a list of the same ones with "disable mod" as the option. These are the mods that WERE updated for Patch 7! I tried doing as it asked and disabled those, but I was still unable to continue. How does it even have two versions? I certainly don't have that in Vortex. I assume it is linked to their built-in manager because when I browse that, I see some of mine saying "installed", whilst others do not. So, is there a confusion between the two managers causing this? Could anyone share their experiences or advice? Have you been able to continue your game? I've seen some comments on the mods I use, suggesting that some have managed to do so. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Ian.
  6. Greetings, I've been playing smoothly for a few days now. Suddenly, I'm experiencing crashes. Two were from simply walking in an area, the next two were when accessing a terminal in a nearby building to the previous area. I mention that because, apart from the first line of my crash logs: "Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF75FC65819 Fallout4.exe+0C25819" I'm not seeing a pattern as to what may be causing this. Does anybody see any other clues, please? Cheers.
  7. Greetings, does anybody know which mod causes the pop-up: "I apologize for the delay in new content..." etc.? Cheers.
  8. Well, I don't find the rad scrubbers from True Storms but I did find another mod, Real Radiation which takes away the rad storms altogether. That'll have to do for now. Cheers.
  9. Ah, I have that mod but hadn't looked at the configuration settings this time around so I had no idea. Thanks, DragonSlayer2k12. Cheers.
  10. Basement Living https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/searchresults/?quicksrc_name=basement+living&quicksrc_auth=&quicksrc_game=1151 The other I've been unable to find too. Cheers.
  11. Montky, that was, indeed, very useful. I have used the doors to basement trick but yes, was hoping for something for our above ground abodes. I shall research what you have shared. Thank you very much. Cheers. Edit: I've looked through the 20-page forum thread. Whilst I now understand a little more about cells I'm not finding reference to the invisible tile mods, nor when I search the database. I shall look to Petard's videos next but if you already know of specific mods, I'd appreciate some linkage. :) Cheers.
  12. Greetings, I'm recently returned to FO4 and loving the new and updated mods since the Creation Kit. Thank you, modders! One thing I've yet to find is a way to protect ourselves from the weather in the shelters and homes we build. Do we have that yet? Have I missed it? Cheers.
  13. Greetings, after the spate of mod updates a couple of days ago, I discovered that all of my smelters, certain chairs and cart parts have become a shade of purple. I have been trying to discern which mod is causing this by deactivating one by one but, since I have quite a few, I thought I'd throw it out here in case someone already knows of it. You may see the purple here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Michlo/screenshots/ Cheers.
  14. I finally have my mods back! :) Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint the exact problem. I can only tell you the steps I took. From the looks of it, it may have had something to do with NMM itself. Having already tried an uninstall and wipe of everything FO4 to no avail, this time, I did the same but also did an uninstall of the Nexus Mod Manager. I then slowly started to add mods back until it looked to be working and then I added all of them. Despite the menu still showing no Add-ons (due to no GECK involvement, perhaps?) my mods were all back. Now I did have to do some in-game work to restore such things as new beds, water towers, plants, etc. but it was worth it. My level 99 (now 100) character could get back to the world he expected. ;) As an added bonus, all of my mods went through their initial setup questions, some of which had changed with updates yet hadn't been refreshed upon updating. Final added bonus is that I'm no longer getting the XML warning upon starting NMM. I hope this helps. Cheers.
  15. Ah, thanks. Incidentally, when I launch from NMM it still brings up the initial FO4 menu. Have I missed a step? Cheers.
  16. Only mods which require the Script Extender would be affected by this, though. It wouldn't be stopping all mods from working as we are finding. I always use NMM too. It is just bizarre.
  17. Unfortunately, yes, happening to us too. Unfortunately, no, haven't figured out a fix. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3821840-i-cant-for-the-life-of-me-make-mods-to-work-again/
  18. This is the default ("safe") settings file. You should leave it alone. If ever your settings in your "My Games\Fallout 4" folder should be accidentally deleted, the system falls back to safe settings by copying the ini files from the steamapps folder to the My games folder. Um, well the ini files in your "My Games\Fallout 4" folder need to be made read-only if you don't want these settings to be modified by the game launcher or game settings menu. Also, you should find your plugins.txt file and make it read-only. The game launcher has a nasty habit of automatically removing all your mods from plugins.txt behind your back. Thank you, Steve. If I find some patience to try again I shall make those changes. My latest is that I loaded a slightly earlier save game and my CTD problem is gone but I'm back to no mods showing up. Oh and FO4Edit only shows a few "Unused data" warnings, nothing apparently game-breaking. Cheers.
  19. Further progress. I discovered that there is a second Fallout4Prefs.ini file under Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Fallout4. I don't know why. This one had slightly less text in it. I renamed it to .bak in order to keep it and then copied the version from My Games. Loaded up, no CTD. I activated a couple of mods. I got the warning about needing to edit INI files. Odd, I thought. I checked and both of the files still had the additions we must make. Loaded up, still no CTD. Merrily, I then activated all of my remaining mods. At the menu screen I could see that my save game still did not have mods (I can tell by the lack of plants, etc.) but I went ahead and tried to load the game. CTD. *sigh* So have I now solved the first problem only to be left with a load order issue? That is my hope. Off to tweak the load order.
  20. Well, I made some progress, of a sort. I discovered that my Fallou4.ini kept on reverting to one without the needed additional text, despite it not being read only. After a bit of messing about I decided to not only completely uninstall Fallout 4 and delete the directory but also the "My Games" Fallout 4 directory (after backing up a few saved games, of course) and the Fallout 4 directory under our user profile\appdata\local directory. The first launch, in order to create the INI files, went fine. I got to the main menu and I could see the image of my save game. I didn't load it as I knew I wanted my mods back. Then I edited the INI files as required and loaded up NMM. I deactivated all of the mods (they are still there, looking activated but are not in the plugins folder as they aren't actually in Fallout 4 yet since the deletion). I activated just two mods (both keyword ones) and went back in. As soon as I hit a key to bypass the traits video (or, wait for it to complete) I crash to the desktop. Is a CTD progress? Heh. Bah, this is frustrating.
  21. I'm actually having issues with NMM pausing and refusing to install mods for Fallout 4 so I think I'll abandon Fallout and NMM until they both get their nonsense sorted because both are equally frustrating to use lol That's sad but I understand. I can't go back to playing with no mods. I'm over 600 hours in! Heh.
  22. Link to screenshots: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=FF7251924FF7642D!809167&authkey=!AGcXVm1xdzsCtFs&ithint=folder%2cpng Incidentally, I always get an error regarding the XML files when NMM launches for Fallout 4 (screenshot included) but I've had this since the beginning and everything always works fine afterwards. I've looked but haven't seen it mentioned. Cheers.
  23. Odd, I'm having the same issue. I had a problem with OneDrive (again) where it was creating duplicates. I had to unlink until I get that sorted. I have checked the ini files in my SaveGame folder, and they still have the archive+instructions we must add to the end. I have deactivated and reactivated the mods through NMM. None are loading.
