  1. No, not running any mods yet. I restored the defaults to my video card in the Nvidia application and the game runs great! No further action was taken or required. In an attempt to reverse-engineer the bug, I ran through the performance options in the Nvidia app, eventually arriving at the same selections I originally had. Even with all previous selections on (max quality settings), there was still no issue with the game. Thank you very much InAComa! :)
  2. I have been searching the forums for a solution to my problem, but I have not found one. So either a thread has not been posted on the topic, or I skipped it. Problem: Skyrim only plays on "Low" graphics setting. Tech Specs: Windows7 64-bit; Intel Core2Quad Q9550 @2.83GHz; Nvidia GeForce GTX 465 Fermi (1024MB); 6GB RAM. Unfortunately I have no idea what the problem is. When I start the game, the app runs extremely smoothly regardless of graphics setting. I can see my saved game, but when I try to load it, the game freezes on the loading screen and only sound comes through, but it's randomly distorted. If I try any option besides the Low graphics setting--including improving even one advanced graphics setting--this is the result. Attempted solutions: The audio fix, updating video card drivers, and verifying cache integrity. Any help is greatly appreciated :)
  3. I'm having the same problem, only it was after installing "OBGE (Oblivion Graphics Extender) core". Even after deleting all it's files, Oblivion still crashes just after the launch screen disappears. Too tired to take care of it tonight, so I'm doing a clean re-install tomorrow. Also, I had the same problem when I accidentally activated "Cobl Filter Late MERGE ONLY.esp" from Cobl (Common Oblivion), but it was fine after it was deactivated. All other Cobl plugins and files are still active. I'm using OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) to perform the loading and sorting of my mods.
  4. Ugh, do I really have to Uncompress/Decompress a mod just to change the name? Never making that mistake again (I hope). This mod is taking for-e-ver because it's over 1Gb.
  5. The tutorial does not say which folder ("Data" on the desktop or "Ozmo's Full Package") should be selected. Since the full package is 10.4 Gb, I selected the "Data" folder. The textures loaded fine on the existing toon I made, but the new races won't appear when I create a new toon. How do I make them show? I selected all of them in the install tool and applied the changes. Also, the facial textures aren't loading properly. There are a lot of artifacts in the form of small, multi-colored pixels on the face only (I have oiled 2 selected). I made the face texture package its own mod and loaded it after the full package. Update: I just noticed that the texture change stops low on the neck. It looks like the toon was covered up to very low on the neck and left out in the sun. The new textues don't seem to be loading on the head at all.
  6. It was fixed by deleting all mods and performing a clean install. The ground is no longer purple, but view the attachment to see what it looked like. As you can see, everything except for the base ground layer is what it should be. The purple even fades into the normal landscape at a certain distance.
  7. Yes, with a clean install and no mods activated, the ground is still purple, even with a new toon. Going to delete all mods and reinstall. Then try backing up .ini + reinstall. Thanks for your help :)
  8. After adding several mods and creating a new character, I noticed that the base ground texture is purple. I stopped all the mods, re-installed the game, and even re-installed the shaders (even though I hadn't patched). Nothing worked. Any advice? Should I post all the mods?
  9. I'm a new obmm user and am having trouble loading Eyecandy. When I tried to create a new archive, I couldn't select any files obmm would recognize. So, I added the whole HGEC folder as an archive and made it a mod. It's working in the game, but I just want to make sure I did it right.
