  1. I gave this game another 20 hours, but it gets only worse, so I'm giving up. In all the years I've been playing games, I've never seen something as unplayable and frustrating as this monstrosity. None of the minigames work, the quests are impossible to follow or comprehend, there is no sensible communication with npc's, skill development is useless and the stuff you can find all around, most of the time in stupid places, is equally pointless and useless. I've tried making more sense of it all by reading endless hours in manuals, guides and walkthroughs, but this hardly helps. Besides, it's tedious and really stupid that you have to quit playing in order to be able to play. It really has come to the point where I hate this game so much, I can't see any reason to spend anymore time with it. Even the great graphics are no longer a reward for all the trouble. It's a shame and I hate to give in, but I guess it's better to stop wasting my time.
  2. I tried, but the option to save is just not there. You can't save during cutscenes and QTE's either. Which in itself isn't a problem, but it should have autosaved right before the fistfight. I'm looking for the skip button now (where is it?) and maybe switch to keyboard-play, hoping it will show the buttons suggestions, which it doesn't give when playing with a gamepad. Edit: I discovered that the skip button during the cutscene appears sometimes and you still have to use it a lot of times. When retrying the fistfighting, which was easier when I taunted one of the guards first, I still had no key-suggestions. But they became visible after I had died a couple of times more. Maybe a glitch? Anyway, glad I got through.... on with the story.
  3. Ugh... finally made it through the prologue, but there is no save possibility? Trying to do the fistfight, fail myserably at it (no key-suggestions like I expected) and each time I fail I have to watch the endless final bit of the interrogation again? No way. f*** this.... What a waste. Either they skipped play testing this thing or they meant it to be as frustrating as hell.
  4. I know the feeling. I've purchased this game a week ago and really looked forward playing it. But so far I've spent more time reading manuals, guides and websites than actually playing and I'm still not able to finish even the prologue. I really love the graphics and the story, but I hate certain elements in this game that spoil it for me. - the keyboard is impossible to use in a fight (for me), but playing with a gamepad makes it virtually impossible to do anything with your inventory (no mouse cursor). - and why inventory and skills and such anyway? It makes no sense and there's no clue how to use any of it. - the camera moves so erratic that I can't play it for longer than an hour or I get a splitting headache. - the movement of most characters is annoying and unnatural, it spoils the beautiful textures they have. Especially Triss - women don't move like that. - why is almost every house the same? And why do I find 50 orens on a table in a searched house, while other places looking interesting have nothing at all? I know I'll get better when I keep playing and I really want to know how the story will unfold, so I'll keep trying. But there are moments when I really switch off the game in frustration and disappointment.
