Basically, some saves are not appearing under the correct character, but they appear in "show all saves". On the switch version, when I go to load, I have show all saves, character A, and prisoner (which I made to skip the cart ride for new characters). I got character A up to level 75, I did a lot in that run. There are about 50 saves. They all show up correctly in "show all saves". However if I pick character A (instead of "show all saves") the final save is #8 at level 24. It's not the same as "show all saves" 8 either. In show all saves, the numbering is like this 50 49 48 ... ... 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Auto 8 (it resets to 8 below this, and this auto is the last one in character A's profile as well as the below 8) 8 (it resets to 8, and this 8 is the last one in character A's profile) 7 6 ...etc Why are the ones after the old autosave not appearing in character A's profile? Obviously there are no mods as it's the Switch version. I want to make sure these saves aren't overwritten or anything when I make a new character.

Is there a way to determine what is causing CTDs?
iammax replied to iammax's topic in Morrowind's Troubleshooting
Tried a new game, this time with GCD installed (the bugfixed version) from the start. It ran fine for about two hours and then started having random crashes, just like the first save. Dammit. -

Oh, and the warnings file is still just stuff about shoes. -

I tried installing the gluby version and deactivating GCD's potion patch + the main original GCD + the main original GCD's start script (since gluby seems to include it) and running mlox again, but I'm still getting random "Morrowind has stopped working" every 5-30 minutes (on the same save as before, although I doubt a new one would be any better) -

I'll try removing/updating those, thanks for the tips. -

Is there a way to determine what is causing CTDs?
iammax replied to iammax's topic in Morrowind's Troubleshooting
Didn't realize MGSO's verison of mlox was old, I"ll try updating it & my load order and see what happens, thanks for the tip -
I recently started playing Morrowind again, and I get random CTDs every 10-15 minutes. It doesn't seem to have some in-game trigger, it happens at random moments. I'm using MGSO, GCD, and Tireless Running. I also downloaded a newer version of Morrowind Code Patch after I installed MGSO. I have attribute and skill uncapper OFF in morrowind code patch to prevent conflicts with GCD. Originally I thought it was some admin thing, so I tried reinstalling morrowind away from C/program files and running everything as an admin, but that doens't seem to have helped. I don't have any evidence for this, but I suspect it may be something with GCD, because last time I played I only used MGSO and Tireless Running and very rarely got any crashes. But I was also on a different computer and different OS then and it was years and years ago, so maybe it's something else. Could it be because I am now on windows 10? Mostly I am wondering if there is some kind of crash dump log, or a mod that will make one. I have been trying to find info on these forums about it but I haven't managed to find it (although I'm sure I'll find something useful as soon as I post this...) I kept all the default options with MGSO, and my specs are probably not the issue. I'm running my native res in a window. Also, drivers are updated.

Is there a mod to stop Skyrim pausing when I shift-tab to steam chat?
iammax replied to iammax's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Do you mean bAlwaysActive = 1? I think that's only for windowed mode focus, not for steam chat, but I could be wrong... -
Before you ask yes I have seen Septimus Signus and gotten his items. I am at the end of Alftand Cathedral for the Discerning the Transmundane quest. I beat the centurion and those two named guys who fight each other (the one with targe of the blooded). Then I am supposed to activate the Dwemer Mechanism and get to Blackreach, but it doesn't work. I activate it and nothing happens. I do have the items. I do not get a message saying "you lack the required item". Just nothing happens. I don't know why. Also, all of the Falmer were in reference pose (only in this room). I tried reloading, and the Falmer were fixed, but the mechanism still wouldn't activate. Is there a script to check on, or a console command to make the stairs go down? I could just TCL to the door to blackreach, but I am not sure if the quest will update properly that way and I"d like to have done it semi-properly. The rest of this post is a BOSS log. When I drop an item from my inventory, it immediately vanishes
iammax replied to iammax's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I tried loading a different character, and the issue no longer occurs... maybe the problem is with a specific perk? I tried using SPERG's menu to refund all my perks on the character the issue was happening on originally, but that didn't fix it. I don't know what's going on. -

iammax replied to iammax's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
After disabling blocks of mods at a time to narrow down the problem mod I have found that disabling SPERG fixes this behavior; I'm going to look around its thread for similar issues but if anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it. I am going to try to move it around the load order to see if that helps -

I used Mod Organizer's built in sort which made it match BOSS's order as far as I can tell, but the problem still happens.
