Awesome:) any particular mod or setting that caused it?
-
Looks like it's performing properly now then. The next step would be add a few mods at a time and test the game, if you get those big frame drops again then you know it's from the last few mods you installed.

I'm using vividian aswell, I agree that it looks good, especially combined with vivid weathers. It is a little intensive but not too bad really. So with stock skyrim and just the enb running what's your fps?
-
Hmm, well gpu seems to be utilized almost 100% except for the drops every now and then, but that could be during loading screens. I did notice your gpu is running a little on the hot side, so maybe try a more aggressive fan curve, as that will get more performance out of your card if its running cooler. Otherwise could be the extra detail of the lods and what not, im not completely sure as I dont use them. Keep in mind skyrims engine is pretty old and isnt the greatest to begin with. What fps are you getting exactly, if not 60?
-
What are your specs exactly? Have you changed anything in your ini files? And what is your cpu and gpu utilization % while playing?
-
What kind of fps are you getting outside? if youre not getting 60fps anywhere outside id be a bit concerned, but if its just certain areas I would say thats normal. I think even mxr on youtube got a 1080 and wasnt hitting 60 fps.

After looking at your enb settings I would personally change autodetectvideomemorysize to false, so that the 10240 takes effect. Using vividian enb on my own setup, i get anywhere from 30 to 60 fps, depending on the scene. Interiors are almost always 60, whiterun plains are generally 60, using verdant grass. Vividian in my opinion is a somewhat intensive enb preset, not as bad as some others but it will make your fps take a good hit. But places with high amounts of lighting effects or npcs will drop it down. In comparison to the witcher 3, i get around 60 fps, sometimes higher with everything maxed out, hairworks all on, at 2560x1080p, this is outside and in villiages, pretty much always 60 fps or a bit more. However I cant say what I get in large cities as i've never been to one yet.. You never mentioned your resolution, what are you running at?
-
What enb are you using? Some enbs are really intensive and it doesnt matter what specs you have i've found. Skyrim is a 5 year old game, and theres enbs i've struggled to run with 970's in sli. Though i've found a few that look great, perform well and i can still maintain 60 fps with tons of high res mods.

Will do, Happy gaming :)

Alright, I did as you said and hurray I found the issue. Better dynamic snow was causing the game to crash. I've now disabled it because it isnt all that important to me to have. Thank you for all the help Darstyler.

Well after checking every mod and bsa pack for mesh errors, and copying over the new meshes as well as using the crashfix plugin im still getting the same crash. So I guess next is check for mod conflicts with tesedit.
-
Thanks Darstyler. I've done this and crash fixes, going to check if anything has changed and will report back.

I've run the mesh tool and it did find a few bad meshes, now my question is do I rename these new meshes by removing the _new in the name, or do I just copy the new meshes into their respective places in my meshes folder?

Hello, and thanks for the quick response, Ill begin to go through these suggestions now. I've updated my original post to reflect some things you suggested that i've done and forgot to add such as using Loot to sort my load order, making a bashed patch and cleaning files that needed cleaning. I will however go through the rest of this list and make the changes suggested and report back.

Hello everyone, I've been modding for awhile now, since the launch of oblivion. However i've done a new Skyrim install since I got a new ssd but im having some ctd issues. Im hoping that someone here may have an answer for me as to why I am constantly crashing when I fast travel, take a carriage or walk to windhelm. The crash happens as soon as i enter the area around windhelm/windhelm stables. Generally when coming from the west along the river to where the wolves in my case attack just before the bridge. As stated I get a ctd if I try to fast travel or take a carriage to windhelm as well. In addition I occasionally get random ctds, sometimes immediately when i start skyrim before i even get the bethesda logo, though these are rare. I've cleaned all files that Loot said to clean, as well as sorted my load order and made a bashed patch. I've attached my load order, skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini. Also this skyrim install was done around a week ago, so fairly fresh. Not shown on my load order is obviously texture mods im using, which include tamriel reloaded hd, skyrim 2k, vivd landscapes and amidianborn texturepacks, they're may be others, if someone knows how to get a list of all texture mods installed and could tell me I can upload that if required. I am also using skse, and have done the memory patch. I currently have block1 set to 768, but have tried 1024 as well, didn't make any difference however. I am using an enb as well, and will include my enblocal file in case its needed. If any other information is needed just ask. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the replies. I currently use memory log, only hitting about 316, and its set for 512mb usable, so okay there. I use enb boost, as i use realvision. I have set my sound to 24 bit 44100hz . Loot has been done, as well as wrye bash, manual reorder according to wrye bash and tesvedit for dirty mods. So might just chalk it up to it being a tes game as stated lol. DXDIAG:

Thanks for your reply, lots of useful info in there. I did everything in your post and followed the guide you linked, I also removed etac and skyre, and the game runs alright, however after starting a new game and saving, and reloading that save later it instantly crashes upon loading. Any ideas? EDIT: I changed VideoMemorySizeMB=2000 to 10240 and that solved the loading issue. However im still getting some occasional crashes mostly outside though, but not too frequent.
-
Well I changed to 2k textures, but I'm still getting random crashes.
-
Thanks for the reply, I'll swap to 2k textures when I get home and test it out.

Hello everyone, I have a somewhat heavily modded skyrim, however i've cleaned files that need cleaning, read through descriptions and have tried to get mods that are compatible with others. I've tried multiple ways of trying to fix these random crashes, even starting a completely new game but i still get random crashes, mostly when going to exterior cells. I've attached my load order, in addition to that I do have quite a few hd texture packs, mostly tamriel reloaded with 4k replacers if that affects anything. PC Specs are: gtx 970 4gb, i5 2500k 4.5 ghz 8gb ddr3 ram, skyrim isntalled to ssd, windows 10. Does anyone know if any of my mods or the load order is causing these issues? Thanks in advance, if any more detail is needed jsut ask.
