  1. The snow in Uncharted 2 was so good. It would take a lot of work, but modders have done much bigger than this, so I think it's possible, and would be awesome.
  2. I walk everywhere, as you would in reality. Just like I did in modded Oblivion. I only run if my character has a reason to, like if Im fleeing for some reason or chasing someone. Realism, which is the same reason I dont walk around full clad in armor, it just doesn't make sense why someone would live in their armor. So I only wear it if Im going out to fight or something.
  3. I have just around 2000 hours in my modded Oblivion save  But thats mainly because I roleplay realistically, and therefor take things slow  Kudos + for being like-minded!
  4. Haha, it happens with all forms of entertainment. I used to be a big game buff myself, but then I got Oblivion on PC, and modded it until it was the best game out. And ever since, I have only played Elder Scrolls. No matter how pretty or cinematic another game is, it just doesnt have the same atmospheric and immersive quality as an Elder Scrolls game. And, there is nothing better than a modded Elder Scrolls game, period. when you find something amazing, it just recreates your standards, and then it's difficult to find anything that can meet your new ideals. When I listened to post-rock, nothing else seemed to have the same profundity or substance, when I read Malazan Book of the Fallen, no other book could interest me. It happens
  5. Feel free to reply here and let us know of any additional tutorials or tutorial sites that are out there in the wild that we do not know about. Also, feel free to post any requests for tutorials. I will try to keep a compiled collection of requests on the 2nd post. Bare in mind that requests are generally for ANYONE to complete...not specific to an individual. List of requested tutorials (number on the end is how many times it has been requested) None yet.

    PlayClaw

Name: PlayClaw Version: 2.1.0 build 1502 Date: Nov 30, 2011 Cost: Free Trial / Full Purchase $29.95 Source: http://playclaw.com/ NOTES: Free Version includes watermarks on captured video. Requires Windows XP, 2003, Vista, Win7 and their x64 editions Requires DirectX 8, 9, 10 or DirectX 11 Requires administrator rights It is recommended to use modern multicore processor with NVidia or ATI graphics card Description: For a video description, click PlayClaw is a very useful tool for almost every game player and a "must-have" tool for hardcore gamers. For showing off slick new tricks or proving you really can take down The Boss with one shot, nothing shows it better than video. Until PlayClaw nothing worked too good with modern games, because cutting edge games try to hog every ounce of your PC's power, leaving little available to other applications. This results in choppy video, distorted still shots or massive bitmap files. Use full power of your multicore CPU Most game video capture software, if you can use it during a game at all, will slow your PC to a crawl. PlayClaw is different, making full use of any multi-core processors and with lean coding designed specifically for use during resource-hungry games! Capture all modern game graphics Be it OpenGL, DirectX 8,9,10 or 11, if your machine can run the game well you can now capture it all with virtually no hit to the frame-rate or action, even at full resolution video! You can also adjust the size for making smaller files. PlayClaw is good game video recording alternative. 7. Ive been learning how to use Blender, and am hoping to be able to utilize it later on for use with Oblivion, and maybe Skyrim. I saw a trailer for the Total Conversion mod titled Andoran: Prologue, and it had actual cutscenes in it. I was wondering how exactly they would have made these cutscenes? Would they have used Blender and simply imported existing Oblivion resources then designed an animation? Is it possible to import Oblivion resources into Blender? And just a small question, what file extension does Oblivion animations use? All I can find in my directory are NetImmerse files and Gamebryo, and there is no BSA titled 'Animations'. Thank you
  8. Nice  Let's hope your rig's sentience doesn't verge on ambition, you may find your PC undermining your dominant position in the house-hold  I guess you could just disable its random-access-thought driver, then it shall know only to obey  Speaking hypothetically is fun when you're bored
  9. They are technically classified as Towns in the game.
  10. What does it translate to, and in what language? EDIT - Sounds Nihongo.
  11. Reading: Shadowmarch – Tad Williams and, The Complete Works and Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe.
  12. Aren't smaller settlements just so cozy and close-knit. Well, maybe not in Helgen's case... This is the thread where you choose your favorite Towns. This doesn't include Cities, there is a thread allocated to cities here.
