  1. I recently noticed that my in game hud had become transparent for some weird reason. Normally when you hover at a container for example, a part of the interaction box will be opaque but in my case all of it has transparency. Same goes for each part of the hud, subtitles, bars, ammo etc. I know for sure this is not normal. It's visible yet still "see through", as if you set your settings to like 70% transparency. The problem is, mine happened all of a sudden and I didn't make any changes to hud settings. Both in game slider and the ini are at 100% so it must be something else. Has anyone had this problem?

     

  2. In the HoS dlc runewords xml there are different rune enchantments specified. I'd like to change how invigoration works, however, it's ability entry looks like this:

     

    <ability name="Runeword 4 _Stats">
    <tags>Runeword</tags>
    and nothing more. There must be another file that defines the whole "Runeword 4 _Stats" effect and how it works, but I cannot find it. One would assume it's in the gameplay/abilities/effects.xml but there is nothing remotely close to it. Any ideas?
  3. How would one go about it? When I add a new ralchemy recipe in an xml the game doesn't recognise it. I can add it to my inventory via console but it will not show up in the alchemy tab, even though it has all the ingredients specified ( every other recipe works fine and is consumed automatically ). I'm thinking it may have something to do with localization_key entry? Has anyone done something similar?

  4. I'm trying to change the lead belly perk in FWE which completely removes radiation from drinking, as opposed to the vanilla which only reduces it by 50%. I would like to tweak it or at the very least switch it to the way it was in vanilla. However, editing it in geck - adding "multiply drinking radiation" back doesnt do anything. What is the cause of this, is there some script or quest that also affects it?

So I've been messing with different animation replacers and it seems some of them disable directional jumping - you can only jump in place, which is a shame considering how amazing those animations can be - hitman's 1 person or nv re animated for example. Since it looks like support for those mods has long since expired, I'm asking here - is it possible to fix them somehow or is it a game limitation? If they can be fixed how should you go about it? Would nif skope be enough or is blender and plugins required?

  6. Just for clarity, I never edited the load order I posted, I copied it from a txt file generated by fomm. From what I understand you said the pitt should be in between anchorage and broken steel? It was like this all the time since I used boss to sort.

     

    As I said, loading the last save, even manually, isn't a problem as long as it's in the same location, so it would appear the game cannot handle having to load another big pack of data, so possibly some memory problem? I use a high res texturepack aswell.

     

    I'm gonna give the nvac a try and update, thanks for the suggestion

  7. You can set the game to launch through fose in steam launch options which is what I've been doing, there is no difference. ( I double checked to make sure ). Pitt is in fact between anchorage and broken steel, unless you meant it shouldn't be.

     

    What do you mean by "Are you launching the game, pausing it and they trying to start another save? If so, I have never been able to do that and always stopped the game and started another one."

    For example, I die, press esc, select a save from the list that is in a different location and it will give me the crash. When I first load the game up no save gives me any problems so it seems like it may be some memory related issue. There is another detail I forgot to mention - I can never exit to main menu properly once I load up a save, it will crash instantly. I found it may be related to not having a proper option selected when using stutter remover but mine was ok so I dont know. Those 2 crashes are probably related somehow

  9. [ SOLVED ] New vegas anti crash was the solution

     

    Whenever I open the game up I can load any save without issues, eg. I load a save in megaton and all saves created in that location work just fine. The problem appears when I try to load a save from a different location, some dungeon for example, then the game starts to load and crashes at the very end where normally loading screen would disappear. The other way around, if I load a dungeon save first the megaton one will give me a crash etc. This doesn't happen 100% of the time but after playing for a while, even a few minutes, it's almost guaranteed to crash and it's super annoying to restart the game every time to load a save. I tried running the game without enb, sorting the load order manually and with loot, archiveinvalidation is enabled, nothing works. I'm using win 7 64 bit, the multi thread command in the ini is enabled. Any ideas?

  10. thanks for your input dubious, I never knew there were any test skeletons on the nexus as I've very limited experience with animation, i might give those you listed a try. As for that animator tool, it's intended for 3rd person animations mainly so not sure if it's gonna be helpful in my case but thanks for the link anyway

  11. In geck you can see different animations preview on an actor, Is it possible to play a 1st person animation aswell? I'm currently messing with animation mods and it would be so much easier if I could just see the animation and compare it to another one without having to replace files and restart the game each time. And If it's not possible in geck how can I see the 1st person .kf files without going in game?

  12. The default attack loop animation for assault rifles plays when you fire, and continues only as long as you keep holding the fire button, then it instantly stops. I'm asking for an adjustment so that when you fire once the animation will keep playing for 2-3 more seconds and the gun keeps swaying like it normally would when firing before resetting to the default animation. I don't have any experience with animating so I hope someone can help me out, thanks.
