  1. I have the latest version of SKSE 1.6_16 and if I use it's loader everything loads up just fine. Unfortunately it does not load all my mods from the mod manager. If I launch SKSE from the mod manager then it loads all my mods correctly but for some gawd damn reason it uses an out of date version of SKSE 1.6_13. I don't understand why and can't seem to figure out how to make the mode manager target the correct .exe file. I looked through the settings on the mod manager and see that the skyrim directory is the correct location but there is no option to tell it exactly which exe. to use.
  2. Appologies if any of this has been covered but I could not bring myself to read through all 100 pages. Maybe at work if things get slow :D It looks like you are working on all the mods I wish were there and some I had not even thought of. I really love your basic needs mod, keep up the good work. Oblivion had this if your acrobatics were high enough. I think it was a double tap on the A or D keys and you would do a small side jump. I think something like that would be very doable but it should tire you out if you do it too much. I agree this needs to be in but I hope you make it slow or adjustable. The way it was in oblivion was just too fast. It was not just a pain in the ass it was unrealistic in my opinion. If possible hammers and maces should require little or no maintenance. Getting caught sneaking around should have consequences even if you haven't done anything else yet. Not so sure about "when undetected" though. If you are a master thief and very careful it should be reasonable to believe that people have no clue. If you do it right. Any plans to change stolen flags? People should react if they see you take something that isn't yours but it is kind of stupid for an item to be marked as stolen when you took it a month ago in another city. How would anyone know it doesn't belong to you? If you rip someone off, pretty much only they should know that the stuff is theirs, or maybe their family. However showing up to a merchant with a "Santa's sack" full of silverware should spark suspicion. Many merchants are exceptionally greedy and will gladly take stolen goods if they think they wont get caught. Maybe put a limit on the amount items or gold value that a merchant will accept per day. If you want to be extra awesome, make speachcraft increase that amount, to simulate being a convincing liar. If he thinks its stolen but willing to risk it anyway then he should give less money for the goods too. A fence on the other hand should be more then happy to take everything you got without question. The line between upstanding merchant and fence should be blurred a little. Half the stuff in modern day pawn shops is probably stolen.
  3. So I decided to come back to Skyrim to check out all the new mods. I am looking for something that is highly immersive, fun and balanced. I have had a look through the mods available but I have found that there are a lot of similar ones and I am unsure which ones are the good ones to try so I thought I would ask the experts. So far I have tried “Total realism basic needs” I love the need for food/drink and sleep. I also have a combo one that includes hypothermia but I can’t remember the name (currently not at home). I also have always hated how the world levels with you so I have unlevelled world, but since I have only just got to Riverwood I don’t really know how well that one will go yet. I grabbed Midas magic to add a bit more interest and balance to magic that I found very lacklustre in Vanilla. I also picked up one that is suppose to make traps deadly. I have “no more blocky faces” as well but I have been reluctant to try some of the other model mods because they often require changes that are harder to reverse. I picked one up that allows more freedom in enchanting because Skyrim is overly restrictive imo coming from a TES fan from the days of daggerfall. I am hoping it won’t be too powerful but I haven’t got far enough to try it yet. I still never completed the Vanilla game because I mistakenly created a set of gear that made destruction and resto magic 100% free to cast which basically ruined the game for me. Dumb I know, if it’s going to ruin the game just don’t do it but I almost always do what I can get away with even if it ends up ruining my game. So I would appreciate any suggestions for mods that I should try or ones to avoid.
