  1. Iâm looking for a relatively simple way to add NPC pickpockets for one of my mods. The idea is that they bump into the PC remove a random item or amount of coin from the playerâs inventory and then run. If the player manages to catch them there is an option to use intimidation/persuade to get the stuff back. If all else fails the player can beat them into submition in order to reclaim their property. Iâve seen something similar in New Vegas but Iâm not sure if it is possible in Skyrim.
  2. I'm hoping to find a mod that changes the color of the magical energy used in necromantic spells. Ideally it would replace the light blue effects with a more malevolent color like dark purple. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
  3. I've toyed with idea of a post apocalyptic Skyrim myself. Would be tons of work but cool.
  4. Looking for a few simple items to update the rather uninspiring equipment of the Vigilants. -Unarmored, Light and Heavy versions of the Vigilants' armor -Light and heavy shields with Stendarr's symbol painted or embossed on them -A holy icon that can be equipped in the left hand like a torch. Can come with two possible enchantments, turn undead or banish dedra. -A cloak with Stendarr's symbol on it -Light and heavy helmets covered by hoods
  5. After installing a mod that diversifies guard Imperial and Stormcloak armor along with a mod that is supposed to give bandit archers a 25% of spawning with crossbows I've run into some issues. The man trouble is that NPC son are spawning with multiple sets of armors and weapons. So for example an imperial soldier might have a set of normal armor imperial armor, imperial knight armor and a set of knight armor? I've sorted the load order with loot and did a bashed patch but I'm unsure where to go from there. Any advice would be appreciated.
  6. Update: Currently tweaking schedules and nav meshes for Dragonsreach NPCs. Should finish up with them and be starting work on the Palace of Kings by the weekend.
  7. I would love to see equipable holy symbols that one can wield like a torch . Ideally a variant for each divine and dedra lord would exists. The powers of each symbol could vary depending upon the power it represents.
  8. I wish you the best of luck with this! Reputation/Fame is something that I sorely missed in Skyrim.
  9. I was always underwhelmed by the number of servants and retainers that surrounded the rulers of Skyrim. Cooks, maids, grooms, thanes, advisors, huntmasters, chaplains, skalds, scribes and layabout relatives should be a common sight in the great halls of Skyrim. In an effort to rectify the perceived lack I am working on a mod that will add these things and more. I'll be working in phases which I hope will give me time to master aspects of the creation kit as I go. Phase I -Add NPCs to the major hold capitals. Phase II -Add NPCs to the minor hold capitals. Phase III -Introduce some custom dialogue and voice work. Phase IV -Introduce some minor quests featuring the new NPCs. Whiterun Hrolf the Grim: Loyal thane of Whiterun who has come to Dragonsreach to offer his axe and council to his Jarl. Thorkel: Huscarl to Hrolf. He is a crack shot with a bow and has years of experience hunting beast and man in the wilds. Ari the cook: He has been preparing meals in Dragonsreach since the Jarl was a boy. His philosophy is that food should be brown hot and that there should be plenty of it. Njal the Skald: An accomplished saga smith and singer. Njal is happy to have found a stable position in one of the great halls of his land. On occasion and with the Jarl's leave he will perform for the companions at Jorvaskar. Thora the scribe: She personally creates the documents and ledgers nessicary for the government of Whiterun to function. She is married to the Jarl's groom Gotsta. Gotsta the groom: Personal manservant to the Jarl. He is a former soldier who was injured while fighting maruaders alongside the Jarl. Gorlassar the dog: One of the Jarl's prized hunting dogs. His keen sense of smell and hearing helps to protect the hall from stealthy intruders.
  10. You could always do something with the Vigilents of Stendarr or the Silver Hand if you want a group that hunts down monsters and demons.
  11. I've started work on a fairly simplistic immersion mod and am having trouble finding tutorials for what I assume are basic concepts. First I'd like to find an explanation of how one goes about setting up a daily routine for an NPC. Second I'm curious about how ownership is defined for objects. In this case specifically beds. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be much obliged.
  12. There was a LotR mods that was completed back in 2012 but that got lawyered hardcore.
  13. I know for sure there are unused resources in the game concerning the Dragonborn marrying the High King's widow and acending the throne. The most satisfying ending for me would have been for the Dragonborn to rally the legions and armies of the jarls and lead them against the Thalmor. The Empire would then be free of their influence and the Dragonborn would establish a new imperial dynasty. Most of this would happen off screen after our in game adventures. What would have been really nice is the ability to choose from multiple endings that would influence aspects of our play through of the next Elder Scrolls.
  14. My guess is that they are years away from developing a new engine for their games. Thus to bring in some cash in the meantime they are rereleasing preexisting titles. I wouldn't mind so much if they were including a bit of new content instead of just a graphics update.
  15. Would love love love some higher tier Nordic chainmail If possible with a winged helmet. I'll try to find an example.
  16. While working on a few small projects I compiled a short list of items I would love to see in game but are beyond my skill. If anyone with talent feels inspired to make any of the following I would much appreciate it. -Raw amber -Gold and silver goblets and platers -Cradle -Peppers and or spices.
  17. I might have to spring for some audio software so I can help out with the dialog.
  18. Will it be possible to play as an imperial loyalist against the dominion?
  19. I hope this ties in with some of the other undead plots in Skyrim like Dawn Guard and the attempted return of the Wolf Queen.
  20. Would love to see something similar done with an imperial victory :)
  21. Options for becoming a Jarl could be; -marrying into a ruling family. This should involve courtship bribery and persuasion. -Finding a Hold whose jarl has recently died and has left no heirs. The player could attempt to prove their worth to the thanes of the hold or they could simply forge a will. -Murder a Jarl and all their kin to open up a position. -Expose a Jarl as a vampire/necromancer/evil person -Blackmail a Jarl - Kill a Jarl and have your face sculpted to look like them?
  22. Thanks, I did see those. They are however horses with saddle bags rather than pack horses. As for the mule I was a bit leary because of the convoluted way it was implemented.
  23. I'm surprised that this hasn't been done already but I would love to see a mod that added pack horses as followers. Not only would they be a boon to PCs that like to carry around a lot of junk but they could also be given to traveling merchants to add a bit of immersion.
  24. As a middle school teacher I've learned that it is best to assume that those who you are instruction have no prior knowledge of the subject. That said the people doing these tutorials are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. So constructive criticism is good but not bitching.
