Everything is working fine now! I've had no CTDs at all apart from the SOS issue which is now fixed, which is amazing. My game is actually stable. Thanks for the help! :)

Well, I did everything you said and i also deleted/moved my savefiles elsewhere and I've had barely any problems playing for a total of ten-eleven hours. I've actually been able to play my character up to level thirty and fight several large enemies at the same time! im wondering if only have CCF and not the WAF was causing quite a few problems. It hasn't worked this great in about five months haha. Except after eleven or so hours of playing, this bugger pops up. The only .nif file up there looks to be the SOS skeleton file. This is the second time I've gotten this message (Last time was a few days ago but i closed skyrim too fast to get a proper look), should I uninstall and reinstall it or something? I'm hoping this'll be the last of my major problems.

haha by crappy laptop i mean the thing is almost four years old now. A bunch of games i could run on it a year or two ago i can't run anymore, I'm just hoping my skyrim problem is down to mods and not my laptop :'( if nothing works, I might just try stashing my current savefiles somewhere so i don't feel like all that progress was for nothing and uninstalling/reinstalling the game, and only using mods i feel are necessary. If that doesn't work either I'll just have to cry until a few months later when I get a gaming PC.

I'll try those! I think I had the weapons and armour fixes a while ago but cant remember why I deleted it. I think it was causing mesh issues and the heads were disappearing- but then again my memory isnt great lol. A lot of the time when my game crashes repeatedly, I'm not in any of the cities. But I'll do some digging around. I wouldn't be surprised if the problem was mostly down to my crap laptop. Got any script cleaners you'd recommend?

Deleting the .ini worked! Crashes are getting worse though :/ The thing is, with my game it runs completely fine at the start. As soon as I hit up to level 18 - 25 i've noticed, I cannot access my save files or it crashes. I made three different profiles to test this out and did a bit of digging. All three of them got to around 8,000mb (i think?) when the crashes started. I can load up my level 2 with no issues, but apparently anything above 18 is an issue. How would I use my SKSE.ini to help? I want to try everything before doing a complete uninstall and reinstall. So... hey everyone. Just gonna say first, I'm not technical or anything. My game runs pretty okay, I've got a crap laptop so everything is on low settings and i've got mods, but my game has a tendency to be horribly unstable and crash every now and then. It's most likely a mod thing but between the crashes that happen once every few hours, the game is pretty fine apart from not responding on loading screens- usually not an issue at all though. Except when it does crash, trying to re-load the games causes a CTD. usually validating the files through steam works to get it up and running again, but i was hoping the mod safety load mod would help with my problems a little since i saw people praising it like the second coming of jesus when it comes to stopping CTDs while loading up the game. Since downloading it i've had an invalid papyrus ini come up which i have NO clue how to solve, even after doing about two hours of googling. I tried doing the getinisomething "imaxallocatedmemorybytes" thing to see what the issue could be and on that particular line the memory bytes was in the negatives. I reckon that's where my papyrus problems are coming from. The mod itself actually did nothing to solve my problems either so i uninstalled it lol. Not really looking for a fix for my modding causing my game to become a potato, just the whole papyrus issue. Got any clue how it could be solved? :confused: Before this i could deal with my potato skyrim, my impatience just got the better of me.

Deleting a few of the larger/unused mods has improved performance a bit and i've died 4 times (on purpose) and no crashes so far... maybe that was the problem? If anyone still has advice though, let me know :)

I did that verify thing on steam it added 7 things back i believe? some of them were probably the dirty plugins from the master files, if i believe. playing on fullscreen allowed me to play the game for about 10 minutes, enough to make a character and get killed by a group of skeletons. crashed straight after that.

Are you sure? I've had this many mods for a few weeks, just adding that one mod made everything go downhill... I could remove some that i don't use... Won't they work?? damn if i'd have known ! :( is that usually the case? I didn't think dirty plugins were that important?

Ooh I'm getting so frustrated... Skyrim would run fine for me up until two days ago when I installed (i forget the name but i think its) amorous adventures from Nexus. I realised it was causing me CTDs and followed the uninstallations steps- where things slowly got worse. I started having a crippling CTD in alftand, which I fixed by using player.additems and setstage cheats, no biggie. Decided to clean all my dirty plugins (I have no dirty plugins anymore!) and rearrange my load order so it was correct (i think), and add in one of those memory mods... Now i cant even open any files, start a new one etc without a CTD- now my favourite game and time waster is just unplayable, and my 740 hours of gameplay is useless. I'm no techy expert or anything, it all confuses me, so i have no idea what's causing my crashes! I only have 124 mods and 117 active, no mod conflicts either... I'll post my load order here, but i have NO dirty plugins. I've spent 2 days fixing all this for it to just get worse. What should I do? Should I backup my saves and reinstall skyrim and MO, start fresh from there and spend a day setting it up and removing dirty plugins? Please remember i struggle to understand techy things!! please explain things as best and clearly as you can to me... where i can find files i need to show and everything...
