Hello everyone, and sorry if this isn't appropriate topic for this section of the forum. I recently got TES Anthology, and, well, I decided to start from the Arena on Skyrim finishing, but, when I launched Oblivion today, I noticed some changes. When last time I was playing Oblivion, it was on win Vista some two-three years ago; it was a modded version to such an extent, that simply remembering the names of the mods I used to optimize the graphics and resolution is something near impossible. Later on I changed pc along with os to 7, and haven't installed Oblivion since. Till now. Unfortunately I don't have any screenshots of when it was installed on the Vista pc, but I do of how it looks right now. So, what kind of help would I need? list of graphical mods and optimization mods that you're aware of; Landscape mods - I remember a massive landscape compilation that basically added various landscape changes all around Cyrodill - but again: I don't remember mods names; character mods: naked or not, but good, please if you have any good compilation, paste the names; male/female skeletons?; Misc helping to improve overall playability, aka. patches? Is UOP the only one? there was some kind of a patch to do in wrye bash... care to point me in the right direction? Note: my ONMM has no mods atm, and I'll reinstall Oblivion if needed. And, I know that this is much, but if you can help, I'll be much thankful - I am sure that someone was smarter than me, and kept his/hers mod list in safe place, and can spend a little time to write those up here, because... I tried to mod Oblivion for the past week... but it seems like there's quarrel between us. Even though I modded Morroblivion and Skywind just fine. Please help me, random internet folks... you're my only hope.

Hi all, and hope you are all doing fine without your Skyrim adventures, thanks to it - crashing. Yeah, like all of you, I have also experianced this "problem" (duh, it's not just a "problem", it is a disastrous epic failure!), but I for once (as I readed through of all posts in this thread) actually checked, if this bug occurs on other computers. I started with my good 'ol laptop, eMachines E520 (it's ready-made, so just check it specs if you're curious) with Vista SP2. Well, speaking honestly, that was the first machine, on which I've ever installed Skyrim - you remember that? Just got it from a mailman, unboxed it from the mailing thingy, looked around if no one's watching and sniffed the dvd, started installation process, readed through all of the contents in the instructions books, checked out the map while this glorious game was installing (or more like - downloading, thank you Steam), played some with Alduin statue, and then.. hell yeah, let's roll it, baby! +4 days without sleep, tons of coffee and cigarette smoke went through your throat, those adventures, those side-quests, becoming a proud member of Storm Cloacks, or turning into Empire protector! [though, I needed to have Reduced Texture Pack, to even have like 8-15 fps (in the cities) and 20-30 fps (dungeons) but *whispers* it still was worth it!] But... after gaining 100 lvl in smithing, installing more and more mods, and roughly three to four months later - the Game has crashed. First I was like - "hmmm? Is my pc loosing it? Well he's old, but..." And here's a second but, when you just turned off your pc and went to sleep, but when you woke up and tried again to play - the Game said - "NO!". It didn't want to load? On the loading screen, when it loaded, it just washed you out to the desktop didn't it? And it didn't even said why. There wasn't even the slightest "the game has crashed, because it crashed" popular error. Tell me, honestly, how many threads like this have you seen already? How many slepless nights have you spent, searching for an answer, looking for the promised number 42? Have you sent a "ticket" to Bethesda already? Did you checked your pc at the nearest computer shop? Called your IT specialist? Yelled "WTH!!!?" ? Cuz I for sure did. But no worries, hey! I still have my second pc! Another laptop - to be specific - Toshiba Satellite A660-190 (also ready-made). So I think "hmmm. let's install it there." And so I did. After installing, I also thought, that it would be good to start and check it anew - without any mods; "well, it would hurt, if I'd need to look for them for nothing" I thought. Well, the game started, smoothly, no problems and then... cooling problem. Wait.. what?! But this is a new pc for crying out loud! Why?! Well aside that problem, I spent two days waiting for the external cooler, then placed it under my laptop, and started new game. Everything was fine. To the time. The same problem: crashing - started roughly one month after installing. I solenly swear, that on this laptop I didn't installed any mods, I played it vanilla, but the crashing have returned. I just couldn't stand it, because, seriously, what is the problem? So I just closed Toshiba, and went back to eMachines, with an idea in my mind. "Why don't I look a liiiittle bit further into the problem, and actually check if there's any solution." So. I did things as fallows: -I reinstalled the game (obviously) using YourUninstaller, and Max Uninstaller; -I cleaned registry with CCleaner; -I disabled ffdshow for Skyrim; -I disabled my antivirus; -I even reinstalled Windows; -I updated all of my drivers; -I then tried with SKSE again, but to no avail; -I.. borrowed another copy from my friend, the problem remained; -I used Game Booster; -I cleaned my pc out of dust using the compressed air - it was slightly cleaner then, and wasn't overheating that much, but it still had its crashing issue; -I received back my ticket from Bethesda with an "sorry, can't help" kind of message; -I replaced Skyrim exe's with this one from 1.2; -I lowered my graphics (yeah, I did); -I cranked up processor and graphics; -I did this on two pc's. And the problem.. remains ladies and gentleman's! So. So. So. I guess, that the only solution, the only exit from the problem is to buy a new computer. This time not a laptop. I just started to think, that maybe some people on threads like this are right - this game was released with a lot of issue's in the script, that weren't properly repaired, there's a lot of work still to be done with the game, because from the number of threads like this one we can see, that the Unofficial Patch is what Skyrim truly needs right now. Not some new spanky 'n sparkly armors for our favourite female character, not some "swords retextures" and seriously we don't need another twilight movie. So, yeah, if you readed this all, and started to think "why the hell did he wrote that, if he couldn't find an answer? Well, because Skyrim, for me at least - is one of the best game ever, and yeah I'm not affraid to say so, since there are people who call Battlefied 3 or Need for Speed the best games - I just think that I'm safe with saying that Skyrim crashes, are the worst things that could've happened to us - gamers. credits: sorry for my bad english.

Dude TES had Hammerfell and Black Marshes. Play TES II: HAMMERFELL... it was the biggest map in all of the series. But I think that TES VI will be going to the past this time. Before settling Tammriel.

Ok, here is another thing. In my data files are folders as fallow: 'Fonts', 'Menus', 'Textures', 'Music', 'Shaders' and 'Videos'; but there is not any 'Sounds' nor 'Meshes' folders. so.. my question is: is this okay...? I mean: do i have to rename 'Sounds' for 'Music' and Meshes put in 'Textures', or just leave it like it was? and one more question regarding OMOD program: how do i install it? No, no i know how to install it, but how to install it properly...? cuz when i installed it in main Oblivion folder, i couldnt even get into main game menu: the game crashes when i click "Play" button in autorun menu. I uninstalled OMOD, but the problem remains: i could not open the game. Of course i back up my saves before installing OMOD, and after all this i reinstalled Oblivion, but know i dont know what to do, cuz there is plenty mods that are written in OMOD (manual installations works fine tho) and sometimes there isnt any normal esp files.. anyone explain how do i install it properly? or maybe there is some fix? sorry for bad english.
