  1. Reposting this: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/951656-the-voice-actors-of-skyrim-nexus/page-99&do=findComment&comment=39400295 Would very much prefer major roles this time. Been voicing nameless NPCs for far too long.
  2. Just sent an audition for all the male characters. Its late here and I saw that the bolded texts are already filled. Should've just removed those if you ask me but I sent auditions for them anyway since I'm drugged with so much coffee i cant help itdshsdhjvaoinvvsdv
  3. See, that's the problem. People overdo their units to the point where there's lots of unused potential in their hardware and all they're going to use it for is for one menial task like going ultra on a game that a less expensive card can pretty much handle on stock settings with objective ease. Unless you're doing 4k video rendering or 3d sculpting a GTX980 is pretty much asinine. Its like buying a Quadro card and only using it for facebook games.
  4. - An i5 4th gen or an AMD A10 7850k. - 2x4gb of whatever brand of RAM. - A GTX 960. Don't go 950. Start with 960 and up. Not really familiar with its AMD equivalent, though. - A Micro ATX mobo that supports LGA-1150 or FM2+ would suffice. - If you want to be spendy, go for an SSD for your boot and install drive. Have a 1tb HDD for your storage. - Spend the rest on a reputable PSU. - Cases with really good ventilation come cheap these days. Oftentimes, you can find ones for free. Ofcourse, you're going to have to do some refurbishing. I wouldn't go for the 6th gen processor and DDR4 mobo and RAM just yet. There's pretty much little difference between the two so if you're aiming for a good yet budgeted PC, this is your go to. Besides, DDR4s are notoriously exclusive to X99 systems while being stupendously expensive. People have been clamoring that DDR3 is becoming obsolete ever since the announcement of DDR4. But even to this day, DDR3's still the staple and is going to stay that way for a quite long while.
  5. Get Mod Organizer if you want your skyrim data folder safe from any overwriting mistakes. The advantage here is that MO uses a different folder far away from your Skyrim folder to run the mods. So if you just want to play vanilla skyrim, just don't use MO. As for what mods you can run, pretty much all of them.

So expect me to be on here quite a lot. Tone of Voice: Trailer-ish deep. Playable Races: - Willing to do any race. Preffered Characters: - Any Deep voiced characters you have. Not "roooar!" kind of growls. 7. Currently have 1.15 with me. With some extreme luck, I had deleted when I was cleaning up my mod archive. But I thought now would be a good time to go to 1.16. So.. does anyone here have 1.16? Would appreciate alot if anyone can PM me that version. If not, I'll just settle with 1.15.
  8. Hello! I thought of getting into the modding scene but I completely lack any knowledge on the subject. I thought it'd be a good idea if I get into modding by doing something I well versed with, and this is getting voice actors, having them record a bunch of lines, and doing post production on them. There's this mod that I want to use as a test. I've managed to extract the .wav files using a BSA Browser. The only thing I need to do is to write over the existing sound files. The process of how I'm going to put that all in a BSA is still beyond me. But before I actually do any of that, I need to change some parts of the transcript. Fix some grammar issues, make it more dynamic and whatnot, without having to change the context. All in all, there's two things I wan't to know how to do. I'm not well versed with the formats used inside a BSA file so I'm not sure which one I should be looking for. Researching on what I should be looking for only yielded in me being linked towards something completely unrelated over and over again. tl;dr: I already know how to replace the audio, what format I should use, etc. I don't know how to change the transcripts to correct some grammar issues, spelling, etc. I don't know how to compile them all and make it run like an actual mod. I was hoping if you guys could point me in the right direction that teaches me how to do those. Any help would be tremendously appreciated!
  9. Hello! I just saw The Aldmeri Domain - Fight Against the Thalmor and was so excited about it since I've been looking for a mod that would really fit in with the playthrough I'm doing. I guess I assumed too much since it seemed so well made and well thought out that I expected it to have some sort of quest. To my disappointment, I read that there isn't any scripted quests so its pretty much me going to the cell where the mod was placed and basically just swinging my sword aimlessly. Don't get me wrong, it seems like an awesome mod but I don't want to have to download something that I wouldn't be able to incorporate into my playthrough without a linear storyline. So that's why I'm here. I've looked high and low for a mod with a story, voiced or non-voiced, about the dominion/thalmor doing military operations within skyrim but failed in finding any. I was hoping if you guys know of a mod that involves some sort of small-scale warfare between skyrim and the dominion? If not, thanks anyway. If I come off as rude or aggressive, I'm sorry. Didn't mean to. For some reason, people have been agitated about me today.
  10. I can do that! I do that sort of stuff for a living! Well.. used to anyway. Send the files over and I'll work on them right away! :P
  11. I've already tried Alternative Actors and it didn't work out great. Eyes were missing, everyone went old and bald, its like someone pressed the 'generate random character' button. The mod is awesome from what I've read but for some strange reason, despite having installed it correctly and have done so multiple times, it would always mess up the faces I make even if I try to save the faces. :'C I don't want to have to exit and boot the game up everytime i make changes on SK or NPC Editor aswell as it can get a bit tedious. So here I am, hoping that anyone might know of a mod that does this. Where you get to change the appearance of a target NPC without having to exit the game. Any help would be appreciated! :D
  12. Here they are. I wasn't sure if you're looking for filtered voices but I went ahead and did it with filters as I posted my voice actor post with the filters as emphasis. ANIMUS https://instaud.io/hPR HEXAN https://instaud.io/hPS BAAL https://instaud.io/hPW KING OF SHADOWS https://instaud.io/hPV
  13. Read your PM and did some takes. Here they are! ADINAR https://instaud.io/hOv CATO https://instaud.io/hOq EINARR https://instaud.io/hOs HRUNVAAR https://instaud.io/hOu HRUNVAAR (with effects) https://instaud.io/hOx Tell me what you think!
  14. Hello everyone! I'm stringstorm! I'm a voice actor and a musician. But aside from those two, I happen to dabble on voice effects like turning ordinary voices into alien or monstrous sounding ones. This isn't some cheap audacity preset type of voice effects either as I use my own settings and whatnot. I made this thread to be a place to dump all my filtered voice over files and for you to just download and use for your mod! If this isn't allowed, I wouldn't mind this thread being deleted. Wouldn't want to be doing something wrong in the forum. D: Anywho, here's a sample of a dragon-ish/growly/gargly voice I did using adobe audition. "Fos los pruz? Wah kos kiin pruzah, uv wah nahmul hin vokul lund zeim lot grav?" This one is basically made up of three tracks. The first one had its pitch raised by 2 semitones from the original pitch. This recording serves to make the recording a little bit clearer and a balancing the treble. https://instaud.io/hDX The second one had its pitch lowered down by two semitones from the original pitch and was heavily flanged and modulated. This one makes for the bass and trembliness of the final mix. https://instaud.io/hDY The third one is the loudest among the three so that it would be more audible than the two. Its basically the first one with the growlyness added to give more emphasis on the growl. https://instaud.io/hE0 And here's the final mix then adding a little bit of reverb and echo then its tempo reduced by 10%. https://instaud.io/hDZ I'm still working on designing a more appropriate filter for a dragon creature but this one sounds alright. If you guys have any suggestions, leave it here and I'll try them out! Expect more posts like this in this thread in the coming days! :D
  15. Its a whole lot more political, that's for sure. I don't know about it being dark. Then again, if you're RPing in skyrim and trying to make it as immersive as possible, then yes, it is dark.
  16. Microphone: Either get the BM800 and an Audio Adapter or This. I currently have a Samson C01U USB Condenser Microphone and it has served me well. Software: I would recommend Audacity but look for something more.. flexible and in depth when it comes to post processing your voice. I'd recommend what I use but its status as abandonware is still legally grey. But I'm not saying that Audacity is bad. Use it if you're already familiar with it. Get another one IF you know a better one. Make a Demo Reel for s#*! and giggles first and ask for suggestions. Repeat until all suggestions have been met. Release Demo Reel in full force after.
  17. Still looking? I'm planning on applying for some of them tonight. I'm hoping the King of Shadows, Baal the Desolate, and Animus are still open for audition! Preffo Baal the Desolate! :D
  18. Here's a couple of things I recommend you should do if you have a bit more cash to spend. Buy an SSD and use it as your boot and skyrim install drive. 250gb should be the cheapest one you can get for decent storage size. This should make loading a whole lot faster. I recommend Crucial as they're the cheapest and reliable ones I know. It comes with its own cloning software so you don't have to do install everything from scratch. Just clone the files in your HDD to your SSD but do make sure that the files in your HDD doesn't exceed the size of the SSD.Buy an Optical Bay Hard Drive and swap the Optical Drive with it, putting your 1tb in it for mass storage like school stuff, skyrim saves, mods, etc. Make sure the OBHD fits on your laptop first!!Running Skyrim on it will no doubt make your laptop really hot! Get a good well known Laptop Cooling Pad or those Laptop vacuum exhaust. Or both!As for graphics, I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do except set your graphics quality to low-medium and optimize the s#*! our of your skyrim. You can still mod it but I'd stay away from graphic extensive mods.
  19. Sofia Follower does this. The Mod Teleports Sofia behind you when she falls behind on a certain number of units. Is there a mod that does the same to other followers aswell?
  20. ^ Whoops! Forgot to change that! :P Should be fixed by now.
  21. I was actually planning on making a mod myself if I couldn't find one/there isn't one. Its going to take me a good while as I'm simply a beginner at this. Like, literally having no experience whatsoever.
