Creation Kit not launching properly?

I was messing around a lot earlier and finally got it to work as well. Thanks anyways. -
Creation Kit not launching properly?
BuckeyeTiba replied to BuckeyeTiba's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Tell me about it... it's that constructionkit.ini file that we're missing and I'm 85% sure of it. I just need to see where I can download it or if someone could attach and post it on here. -
I recently downloaded the CK and cannot get it to start. It seems to load up just fine but an error message pops up reading: "Creation Kit has stopped working." I read some places on the net and noticed that I may be needing a file called "constructionset.ini." I can't find this file anywhere and does anyone else have it? If I do not need this file, then is there another file I may be missing?

Does anyone know where I can find a weapon/armor piece with a standalone fortify conjuration enchantment (rather than the fortify conjuration and magicka regen enchantment)? The standalone one can have up to 25% less cost for conjuration spells rather than the 15% of the fortify conjuration and magicka regen enchantment.

I want to disenchant the Shrouded Armor (I don't really like the poison resistance enchantment already on it), and enchant it with something else. However, it won't let me disenchant it in the first place. Does anyone know if and how to do this?

Ah, I see now, thanks. It makes me mad to see how easy and overpowered smithing can be, but enchanting is still enjoyably difficult to do.

I have an enchantment in my library of enchantments that is 10 pts magic damage. I found a weapon that can be broken down with 30 pts magic damage. However, when I try to learn the new enchantment, it says I already know that enchantment (the 10 point one). Obviously I would like to learn the enchantment with 30 points, but I don't know how to delete or replace the weaker one. Does anyone know how?

Aw, man. Well, I can't wait for the Creation Kit to be released. Do you know of that date?

I know this should be under modding, but I am getting no replies whatsoever, and I know people come here more: This may or may not have been posted, but does anyone know how to edit the armor value, damage, etc for items that you currently own? Specifically, I want to give some armor rating to my Hammerfell garb, and Alik'r hood. I suspect that I can edit this value from the console command, but if so, what command is it?
-
Ya I found the IDs, thanks, but does anyone know how to mod the stats of items?

I was experiencing a Steam error when launching Skyrim, and it would not let me play. However, Steam launched Counter Strike Source just fine. I completely gave up on Steam and decided to play the game from the directory in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim. The game ran from there, but not in fullscreen, and alt+enter would not work. To play in 1080p and fullscreen, you must edit the Skyrimprefs notepad in Documents/My Games/Skyrim rather than C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim. This will obviously only work if you are not running the game from Steam because it wouldn't launch. In the Skyrimprefs notepad, scrolls down and change the value for fullscreen from 0 to 1, and you can edit the width/height (resolution) from there as well to make it 1920x1080. Unless you like Steam more than actually playing the game, then this is the solution.

"Steam is temporarily unavailable please try later"
BuckeyeTiba replied to Fatalmasterpiece's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Could you please elaborate because I have the same problem and any help would do good. Steam will not launch but when you go to the "Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim" in you C directory, you can launch the game independently. However, I can't run it in full screen and can't figure out how to. -
It's the new zelda game, idiot, and it will be great. Skyrim and Skyward Sword will be best two games out this year imo, and it's the only reason why my wii isnt under a pile of crap atm.

This is why you don't play RPGs close to the release of TES, and ESPECIALLY not a TES game a week or so before release!!! You spoil the game for yourself, man....

The Thread of Computers (aka will my computer run Skyrim)
BuckeyeTiba replied to Zeazer's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Around what FPS and settings should this run Skyrim on: i7 870 quad core (2.93 ghz) 8 GB RAM Radeon HD 5770 1920x1080 res windows 7 64-bit I have no doubt that it will run well, but my main question is that recently, my computer has been running Borderlands (a not very demanding game) at 25-30 FPS at highest settings. However, when running the Battlefield 3 beta a few weeks ago (a demanding game as you may know), it ran well at medium-high settings and 1080p. My computer has also started to become louder as I play games, and all this is occurring after I messed around with MSI Afterburner. Any ideas of why this is happening? -
With 13 days to go how are you feeling?
BuckeyeTiba replied to AlexSeptim's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I've forced myself to become less excited for it because, frankly, after being excited for Battlefield 3 for so long and finally playing it, I was a bit disappointed. It just wasn't traditional Battlefield gameplay (was not very objective based). I'm almost sure Skyrim shouldn't disappoint but I have lowered my expectations. -
I assume you're planning on playing third person a lot now right? I am as well, but only when exploring and running around. During combat and most conversation sequences, I will be playing in first person. Third person looks a lot better, but definitely not something I would fight with.

Thanks, man  . By the way, about the character armor moving, I don't really see anything other than the flaps in the bottom flapping up and down. Why does it really matter lol?

^ Major Skyrim spazz..... :P

The commentary is better but it's only 3 minutes long as opposed to 11, and thus, has less gameplay. Still good to watch if u want some decent commentary and some in-game sound.
-
Hence why I muted the whole video altogether. There's no ingame sound anyways and their "analysis" of the game was dreadful. But as for the gameplay itself, it was just what i was looking for. We've seen a lot of combat and such, but not much NPC interaction, towns, city life, etc. It was cool to see how the person next to the executioner (not the criminal) cringed when the executioner chopped the criminal's head off. Great example of the level of immersion in Skyrim.

lol... i agree. But it's all in the gameplay. ;)

Please tell me that's not sarastic lol....
