  1. It's just an idea of mine, not a request, that I would like to share with you for some brainstorming (in case anyone of you wanted to share their ideas or opinions) without the actual intent of making the mode.

    I'll try to be brief:

-The basic setting is similar to NVB (and basically all bounty hunter mods), but it has a twist: you lead the organization.

-You have full control over your faction: you name it anything you want, you recruit your bounty hunters, can give them equipment, send them on mission, etc.

-There are essentially two kinds of recruits: randomly generated(by the mod) NPCs and Followers

-The first type can be found in friendly settlements, mainly in bars and saloons. Your skills during recruitment will affect how much payment they will demand later on. You can also customize them to a certain degree, like give them nicknames (a la XCOM).

-You can recruit your followers too, but there is a small difference:

-The mod would use a trait system similar to Crusader Kings that determines the bounty hunters' personalities.

-The first type of recruits have randomly generated personalities but followers (Vanilla and some of the most popular followers from nexus) and "legendary" mercenaries have pre-defined personality traits.

-Only humanoid people can be recruited but you can assign animal companions to squads.

-Squads are a group of your bounty hunters, that you can send on missions.

-Being sent on mission means that your squad leaves the New Vegas worldspace and enters a map that is similar to the ones seen in Fo1 and 2 (but the closest you can imagine is the Mount&Blade map).

-You can access this map from your command desk at your HQ. When you active this desk you get teleported to a cell where you can see the map (of an area west of the Mojave) from an overview and fly around. Your squads are represented by the shrinked version of their squad leader, and this is where you give them orders. There are also towns and other places that your squads can visit for bounties and quests and other activities.

-You give orders similarly to how you do it with JIP CCC: you can choose a squad on the map, then indicate a waypoint where they have to go or interact with.

-After you give have given your orders, you push a button that starts time, which then passes at a faster pace while the button is pushed.

-You can exit the map at any time and your squad will continue carrying out their orders but they take more time (in real time) to get to their destination.

-During certain encounters, such as combat, you take control of you squad: your PC takes the form of the squad leader, gets their inventory and their skills.

-There are smaller quests and bounties and that you can carry out with your squads but your ultimate goal is to take to down an opposing organized gang that has an HQ at a random place at the map (you need to inveatigate where).

-The other difficulty is that your bounty hunters can die permanently.

So, what do you all think? Do you think if this was made properly, it would make a good mod? Do you have any ideas you think would make it better?

  2. Out of curiosity, I've been wondering how a crime system such as the ones in The Elder Scrolls series could be modded into New Vegas, instead of the instant fight reaction/reputation.

Now I'm not talking about actually making a mod that makes a guard faction for every major faction in the game that keeps account of the player's crime and calculates an amount of fine, but, and it's all hypothetical, if you were to make a mod with a new worldspace, let's say a town inside the NCR, where law enforcement is presumably much more peaceful than in the Mojave, how would you make a crime system that works like the one in TES games (when someone sees you commit a crime, they report you rather than fight, and npcs of a guard faction chase you and try to put you in jail and/or fine you, or with high enough bounty, kill you)?

I'm not asking for the exact lines of script that you would use, of course, I'm just simply curious about how you'd approach doing it, or if it's even possible.

  3. I have been planning to replay Fallout 4 since there's a lot of good mods I would like to try, so I'm in the mood again. I had been think about doing a Ghoul playthrough and trying out the Sim Settlements mod, then I had an idea to make my settlements inhabited entirely by Ghouls.
I guess I could do it by using console commands but it would get tedious and immersion breaking after a while, so that's why I'm asking if it's possible to make it automatic?

I know for a fact that something like this could be done with ease in New Vegas with NVSE, but I'm not familiar with the way scripting works in Fallout 4. A script that looks for NPCs that are in the player's settler faction and turns them into Ghouls would be more than enough, but a gun that turns people into Ghouls on shot would be better considering I don't want companions to change their race.
Or if you know about an already existing mod that you think could be used to do this, I'm open for that, too.

  4. Hi people,
I need some people to voice act one of my mods, A Boy and His Ghoul to be specific. I posted the mod quite a while ago, but I decided to fix as many bugs as I can and add voice-acting, so if anyone has some ambition to do some voices just head over to this link or PM me.

  5. Hello everyone,

This problem I have, that landscape doesn't show up in GECK, I've been experiencing it for a time now, but now I would like to landscape for a mod I'm working on. GECK simply doesn't display the texture of the land, so one can see right thorugh it and even see the water. There's no problem with placing object on it so it's still there. Although, for landscaping, I need to know where it is and how does it look like. What could be the problem?

I didn't find anything about this bug on any forums.

  6. I was watching this AlChestBreach stream and Louis Armstrong kept singing horrible songs. Then I thought to myself, this would make a perfect companion, I mean he would wear a suit, he would be a ghoul (since he's pre-war) or an africanamerican impersonator of Louis, and (what i think) the best part is his lines would be cut out of Al's streams (yeah, yet another Al's-voice-companion)- he would sing in combat, sing as greeting, sing as saying goodbye).

Yeah, I know there's a lot of work with it, you gotta cut out a bunch of things from his streams, etc. BUT I know there are some die hard fans of AlChestBreach around here so I'm sure someone's enthusiatic about making it. Yes, you are, don't deny yourself!

He could chill out in the Atomic Wrangler. He would sing there, too. I have no idea, however, what his perk would be. Maybe random people appearing and donating (well, this sure would cause a lot of weird situations).

It's a only a very short poop concept I wrote here, but it's definetly achieveable. Doable. You know what I mean, just share your thoughts.

    Awaaaaay!

Ps. Maybe Al's kind enough and contribute with voice-acting for misc lines. Let's hope. May need a fishtoe-style petition.
