custom point of interest (mod request)
SquirrelDash replied to kingdark's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
it's not the same idea, but it fulfils a similar function, in a limited way. I can appreciate being able to add notes to it, but I don't see why it should have high crafting requirements. it's just utility, it doesn't make the game that much easier. that said, since the loot is just randomized leveled stuff that is essentially one of the like, four guns in the game plus some caps, I don't see why he would care that much to go back to old chests. I dunno. I do hope someone makes something like it for you guys in the future. -

doesn't the game already let you put down your own map markers? I get that it only lets you put down one at a time, but I think at least some form of what you're asking for is already in the game. and, frankly, has been since fallout 3. -
Markarth Glitch, and a lot of Others
SquirrelDash replied to velociraptor24's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
scripts are irreversible, so that save is probably not going to work anymore. random crashes and long loading times are because the gamebryo engine is awful. the standing up thing is also most likely an engine thing, as a similar thing happens in fallout NV. as far as the boots go, they're most likely using a different slot from each other, so they don't replace each other when you put them on. -
could be a load order thing, though it should actually crash before the game even starts in that case. what it probably is is that skyrim is running out of memory when it's loading everything, which leads to an infinite load screen. there's a mod here on the nexus that can fix that bug, so you should check that out.

I thought that this might be caused by an ENB, so I turned my ENB off and it's still here. the sharp geometric shape has something to do with time of day, and it changes its orientation to you depending on where you're facing. I only have seen one other person with this kind of error here on steam, but the poor guy got no help.

Laser Rifle using wrong model
SquirrelDash posted a topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
So, I'm using EVE 14, WME, and FOOK. the issue I'm having is that whenever I use the AER 9 Laser Rifle, the beam splitter mod uses the model for every mod, including the scope and focus optics, even though they aren't equipped. how can I fix this? -
I'm looking for a mod that has the raised hood on the hazmat suit from OWB or Dead Money. the original suit has the mask, but I would prefer it to look like the ghost people with the hood up and stuff. I'm aware that there's a mod that just takes the creature model and makes it a suit, but it apparently has some unfortunate bugs.

what on earth happened to my map?
SquirrelDash replied to SquirrelDash's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
oddly enough, it seems to have fixed itself. regardless, thanks anyway -
so, my question is why hasn't someone made a Fook and Project Nevada Equipment patch, or even a Fook and Project Nevada core patch? there's a lot of overlap between say, the night vision between the two, and some of the weapons. there must be a reason, because these are two really popular modifications. is it a difficult thing to do, or have the mod authors asked not to make a compatability patch, or is it just a thing that doesn't have much demand, or what? I'd make one myself, but I've never made a mod in my life and I don't know where to start.
