I am just going to get straight to my complaints to save everyone time. 1. I do not use collections, I do not care about collections, I build my own mod list, give me an option to hide it from the game homepage, I do not want to see it and I do not want to have to scroll past it to see the new mods, the thing I am actually here for and care about. 2. There is way too much empty space on the home pages, I am not sure why we have all this wasted space now but I don't care for it. 3. I don't like the place background, its bland and uninteresting, I preferred when we had images from the game in the background. 4. I hate that every game shares the New Vegas UI colors now, it's confusing and unintuitive, go back to giving each game its own UI colors. I have been on Nexus for over a decade now, but to New Vegas days, I have seen the site be overhauled a few times now. some better than others, but I have to say this is by far the worst overhaul of them all. I am not sure who researched this and greenlit it, but Nexus really dropped the ball on this one. I have spoken to many modders about the "New Nexus" and not one has told me they like it, it has been a mix of indifference or, primarily, outright hatred. This feels like someone messed with something that really did not need to be fixed, and after talking to many people and reading many posts, I think you would be better rolling back and re-examining what went wrong than to continue to try to hammer in this new UI.

Iv never built A static collision Before, this is actually my first time doing something like this on FO4, Is there A guide or video you could point me towards?

SIm trying to make some furniture out of SCOL's, I wanted to use some movable static objects so I copied there model paths into some new static entries, added them to my furniture, made the SCOL, and re-imported the nif into the game for the furniture, the problem is that my furniture moves like a movable static now, is there anyway to fix this?

So I'v been converting some of the stand alone gun mods into ESL files for obvious reasons, But iv noticed that when I do this sometimes the guns "break", literally, in third person and in the world their fine, but in first person theyre just exploded parts. it only seems to effect some weapons and only weapons. Armors, settlement objects, all fine. I was wondering if anyone knew what caused this and if there's a way to fix it.

ok, I was able to figure out what was causing this issue for me, and maybe it will help you guys. my issue was caused by having an old version of crafting highlight fix, because it DID NOT have an esp file it did not throw an error, but it did cause a ctd on start up. look through your active mods. see if you have any mods that need F4SE but don't have an esp (crafting highlights, clock widget, etc) try un-installing or up dating those, see if it fixes your issues. -
Honestly, im excited for vortex. it would be nice to get a more modern mod manager. my only real question is will it support .ESL files?

I have 255 plugins plus 5 or so esl files and they still all fall in the FE slot. As for order, the game reads them as a master so they will load with the esm files near the begining of the order. From what i have seen patches for esl files will work but tbeg count as an esp and will take a slot. I do not know if you can make a patch for an esl file tbat is itself an esl file. Might try that tonight.

I managed to get a mod converted to an esl, if you change it's extension back to esp it will recognize it but it seems to count against the load order again, even if it was saved as an esl. From what I have seen esl files are master files like esm files and can have esp files slaved to them like any esm files. I have an issue that it reads loose files fine but it does not recognize the BA2 packed files, that said, that may be an issue on my end, I just started learing how to pack files. the biggest issue I have had with the process is not getting the file converted to esl but actually activating it as NMM does not recognize it, I ended up having to edit the plugins text manually but so far it seems to be working with 255 OTHER mods installed and running. Im planning to look at it more tonight/tomorrow.

Out of curiosity are you getting a message after the crash or just a straight CTD? Also, have you installed the Optimized textures? it really helped me with a lot of my issues, it didn't stop all my crashes, but it helped. Are all your mnod's up to date, older mods can cause havoc if not updated to their latest versions? and are you using the beyond the borders mod? that was causing ALOT of crashing for me.

Update: turns out it's not effecting all power armors, just certain ones, the main one I can track it to is from a merge I maid, so I think the merge got screwed up an is causing the issues. it's not the first issue i'v had with merging mods, I guess ill just have to separate them out until the merge program start's playing nicer withg FO4. Sorry to waist your guys time, thanks for the input.

Not any new ones, not that im aware of anyway. I don't use power armor often so it's hard to tell how long the issue has ben there. I guess i'll have to pull mods to find the issue.

So I'll keep it simple, at some point my game started crashing whenever I tried to enter power armor (Modded or vanilla). It works fine when companions get in and out, but as soon as I try the animation starts, then bam, CTD. I'm looking through FO4Edit now to see if I can find the issue, but figured I would ask and see if anyone else had encountered a similar issue and had solved it. I have a lot of mods and it might just be time for a clean reset.

Transparant texture messed up mesh

As far As I am aware I followed the tutorial 100% by what it says. As for it already being clear, last time I tried that the parts that were supposed to be clear were a funny color. Seems to be working now though. thanks for replying. -
So I wont waste anyone's time. let me start by saying I don't really know anything about 3d modelling. So I tried following a tutorial on making transparent textures ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6839/? ) to make a worn looking flag. I followed the instructions to put the texture on the waving flag pole from the vanilla game (meshes/setdressing/flag/flagpoleusa01). I believe I followed the instructions correctly and got it into the ck, but now the flag is static and I can walk through it, like the collision is missing. Does anyone know what I might have fouled up and how to fix it? If need be I can send you the file with the mesh and esp and all. thanks again.

Well, the first place I would point you would be Elianora's youtube channel, she has a fair amount of tutorials on different things, maybe you can find what you need there. Other than that you might try looking in the modders resources and tutorials section of the FO4 nexus. Hope it helps. out of curiosity, could the sight being crowded cause the notifications to not show up> because I know of at least 2 that I should have gotten and didn't. This post was the last thing that showed up before it seemed to stop. so could it be related to the sight being overloaded? -
Hi all,So iv spent 2 days trying to trouble shoot this issue and am ready to ask for some help. I have a save I was using to do a railroad play through and after the update to 1.4 im having a lot of crashing issues, I narrowed part of it down to these 7 mods but it only seems to happen when theyre all active. iv tried de-activating and activating them in every order I could try. I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas or solutions. any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.
