  1. I've tried and tried, I've spent over 35 hours trying to figure out how to install mods on Windows 7. (Not exaggerating!), Watched 20 videos on how to install mods from Fallout: New Vegas from the nexus. Research 4 other different methods of installing mods to FNV. Installed J-zip, 7-Zip, Win.rar, I've gotten advice that I'm not opening the correct programs, or that I'm not using file decrypting software correctly. I've seen a multitude of processes and methods all somewhat the same as to opening Program Files x86 > Steam > Steamapps > common > Fallout New Vegas > Data, and still no luck! Unless, someone can personally come over and install it themselves...anybody live in the state of Ohio? Otherwise, I have no use to ever look at mods again! Not only are they risky and extremely complex, but they obviously require someone with an extensive history and background working with computers at an experience level in which cannot be obtained within a matter of two weeks. Unless some form of "drag-and-drop" software is developed to enable individuals with lifestyles that do not incorporate the use of conversion and file searching that often can install mods as easy as the game itself. So If anybody has a "fool-proof" method they can upload to youtube or something...because I'm pretty d@mn sure I can follow step-by-step info., but there has to be some variable that is NEVER included in every tutorial video. I'm just gonna keep an open mind on the situation, as stubborn as I am to call it quits, I gonna put this on the "back burner" for the sake of sanity!
  2. Okay,...I've got three downloads from nexus, (finally after I learned about mods and how to download them. ) Camouflage_Ghost_Bodysuit-38318-1-0, Desert_Succbus_Face_Save_for_Jasmine-35602-1-1, and Shiloh_DS_-_DS_-_Body_Mesh_Pack-38093-1. Now I believe each of these files require the other in order to function properly. I then tried researching the placement of mods on Youtube and apparantly, my computer has an issue reading .rar , .esf., and .fos files. What I saw from the video appeared to be him opening these files and placing the mod files within a series of folders or something. I found jZip and Filecure online tin an attempt to resolve the issue on my own. jZip does not show up as an option on Windows 7 error pop-up window when I try to open the file. Then Filecure requires me to register... with my debit card before it actually does anything. Now do I need to purchase specific software that can read these types of files? Or maybe I don't need to open any of those files to install the mod. Well I'm stuck...can anybody lend a hand? Pretty much...how do you install a mod.

    P.S.~ Thanks for your concern.

  3. Well, It could very well be a browser issue, I'm currently on internet explorer 8 which is default from my pc. But I'll scan through some browser options, download a new web browser or two and give that a try...sigh. Well thanks for the swift response and thanks for your time. :turned:
  4. Hey just got Fallout: New Vegas for the PC and was wondering as to why I am unable to download any content.... Now I am curious about the costume mods and I checked for the mods with no file requirements, I use the large green download button only to be returned to the top of the webpage. There is no loading cursor or any windows that pop up and I have nothing in my download history. As much as I hate being unable to resolve this issue on my own, could anyone offer any advice or any kind of simple computer support to assist me...please and thanks for your time.
