  1. I've tried both the KB/M and Xbox (pc) controller, and found far better accuracy with the KB. I really like the ability to kick back with a controller, and the vanilla game is obviously made for it with the favorite system. There's a realy annoying thing with my controller I'm not sure how to fix, anytime moving the right stick there's a noticeable lag as it accelerates from zero to full; acting like the left stick for walk to sprint. Makes fights near impossible with fast targets. Any thoughts? Just using mouse in the meantime.
  2. I'm getting the same thing, only noticed it after I installed a few texture mods (better faces, eyes, no blocky faces, some water one, enhanced night sky, etc)
  3. I think they could at least use some more HP. I was exploring wilderness at ~lvl 19 and came across a dragon by surprise (looked like he was sleeping). Instead of freaking out as one would expect when finding a dragon right around a corner I sprinted in, used my initial basic shout and power dbl-wielded him to pieces before it really even woke up. Not exactly the epic battle I was expecting, don't even have enchanted weapons yet. Some more (double maybe?) HP would at least give them a chance
  4. Totally agree with the panic-shout for the middle scroll button. I tried putting crouch and sprint for my side mouse buttons and it works fantastic - especially for stealth chars. Saves on the constant contorting getting the pinky to hit what's needed in a hurry.
  5. One rather simple mod I'd like to see is a say to make a mark on-map to indicate which dungeons have been cleared out. Maybe like a toggle for the dungeon icon to activate when said area is satisfactorily finished. Possibly with a counter to show how many times have cleared it out, and could show what level it got locked at upon entry.
  6. Ahh, a fellow WoW player. Well I used to play WoW so I know the plight of one who keybinds. I hope to can set favorites to numbers rather than having to pause and scroll through the list like console users. I have a Razer Naga mouse so I have 4 mouse buttons and a 1-12 numberpad on the side of my mouse. My plans are: Mouse 1: Left Hand Mouse 2: Right Hand Mouse 3 (scroll wheel click): Dragon Shout Mouse 4: TBD (To be determined) Mouse 5: TBD Mouse Num Pad 1-12: Favorites/Hotkeys (hopefully) WASD: Forward/Backward/Strafe F: Activate/Open/Interact/etc. E: Draw/Sheath weapon/spell Q: Grab/Drag R: Wait Tab: Pause/Inventory/Skills/Map/Etc. Shift: Sprint Ctrl: Sneak/Crouch toggle Z: Toggle Run/Walk X: Auto Run C: Hold Run/Walk V: Open favorites list (Assuming I can't just hotkey it to the mouse number pad) That's definitely a good starting list. I really like playing stealthy characters, so I'm thinking one of the mouse 4/5 would be good for crouch.
  7. Scanned through and couldn't find a topic on this. Oblivion and Fallout totally revolutionized how I look at what games can be, and I'm stoked to see how Skyrim is gonna rise the bar again. Sadly I've only seen them on PS3, and been unable to see the modding world opened up. Not an issue this time round, new rig is ready to go. Been going through Portal getting used to the WSAD controls and got me thinking; how do you PC veterans typically set up your extra mouse buttons for best use in Oblivion, and likely similar planned for Skyrim? I've got a Razor DA, so two easy access thumb btns and of course the scroll click. Thinking at least one of them for an emergency get-my-arse-outta-the-fire shout would be handy. note that I didn't get a new laptop just for skyrim, needed it for work. Just made sure it could be used for both. :-)
