Forbidden Oasis amulet of power is gone Broken Mirror amulet of power is gone Dorian amulet in still ruins is gone Dorian amulet from hissing wastes is gone Dorian amulet from keep in western approach is gone Varric amulet from valammar is gone Varric amulets (both of them) from dragon kill is gone Cole amulet from Imshale is gone Cole amulet from chest beside him in Skyhold is gone Cole's amulet from emerald graves mansion is gone Vivienne's amulet in Halamshiral is gone Vivienne's amulet in Emerald Graves is gone Ironbulls amulets (both of them) from dragon kills are gone Solas amulet in temple is gone Cassandra's amulet in Therinfal Redoubt is gone Sera's amulet of power from dragon is gone With the exception of Cassandra's amulet in a chest in Fallow Mire and the Inquisitor's in Crestwood, they removed every amulet that you receive from loot or from a chest. Amulets from war missions still are given. The two amulets within chests are the only items in the chest. They cannot be exploited anymore without something like CheatEngine. There were slightly more than 30 amulets of power in the game and only half remain. HALF! I realize they don't really matter at end-game because you're swimming in skill points. But the first half of the game (the challenging part...) is when they are desirable, more so if not a human. And they are gone gone gone.

I was not able to figure out how to use the shop editor or item inventory editor, but the party editor works great. I changed my # of abilities from 0 to 1. Fast traveled. Bam now I have a point to spend. Save and exit CheatEngine. *EDIT* I take it back. Even though I had an extra skill, when I respe'c I lost it. I guess I have to go back to figuring out the shop inventory editor. *EDIT2* Ok, I finally have a solution to the missing amulets of power via Patch 5. It does require Cheat Engine. I have not been able to change item codes; however, if you can obtain 1 amulet, then in cheat engine activate shop editor, inventory editor, and infinite shop. Sell your amulet of power to a vendor. Exit vendor. Re-activate vendor and go to the 'buy back' and you should see your amulet of power. It'll look like their is just 1. But when you buy it back, it won't disappear. Then you can buy as many as you want. FYI the following amulets of power are missing in the PC version (even using a new-save post-patch): 1) Inquisitor amulet from forbidden oasis 2) Inquisitor amulet from broken mirror 3) Varric Amulet in Valammar 4) Varric amulet from high dragon 5) Iron Bull amulet from Hivernal dragon 6) Vivienne amulet during wicked eyes and wicked grace 7) Dorian's amulet in still ruins 8 )Dorian's amulet from griffon keep 9) Ironbull's amulet from crestwood dragon There are probably more. The only amulets that spawn in a chest that I have been able to find are Cassandra's in Fallow Mire, Blackwall's in Adamant, and the patched Crestwood amulet. Every other amulet is suspect.

I'd pay to see a tutorial about this. i've seen tutorials on how to give gold, or how to dup crafting mats to buy back. But I have no idea how you'd go about finding the hex code for the respec amulet, let alone how to change it to something else. Ever since patch 5 removed nearly every amulet of power found within a chest/loot I've been a bit reluctant to play.

Not only did they remove the amulet of power exploit, but quite a few amulets of power don't even respawn. Amulet of power for the inquisitor in the fade at the broken mirror is missing. Amulet of Power for Varric in Valammar is missing. Amulet of Power for Cole from killing Imshael is missing. I've seen reports that the high dragons don't drop amulets of power anymore (for Ironbull and Varric). So yeah...not only is the amulet of power exploit fixed, but they removed half a dozen amulets of power in the process. I keep hoping someone will add a mod where someone sells them at a reasonable rate. It would be nice to use considering the missing amulets ala patch 5.

Not sure if this is the right place, but I've got a problem where an effect isn't appearing when it should. I'm wondering if some other effect is taking up the FX slot (or something else) and therefore it isn't working. Problem: Dragon Aspect does with 3 words of power does not show on my character. I have tried with different loads going as far back as level 14, and up to level 50. None of them show the dragon aspect armor. For low levels I had to artificially give my character the 3 words of power and 3 dragon souls. New characters work just fine though. I create a level 1 character, give them the 3 words of power, and it works great. Although my character does not have the glowing armor, she does having some swirlies stuff around her that kind of looks like the right color for dragon aspect armor. I saw on page 1 commands for sme (stopmagicaleffect) and sms (stopshadereffect). I have no idea what the dragon aspect armor is classified as. Is there a way to test the dragon aspect armor effect directly? Is there a way to see what effects are currently active? I'm concerned something is happening, I just am not seeing it. I really don't want to reroll.

Yes, I brought up the terminal (~) and then clicked on him and got his id #. I don't remember but it was several numbers and a letter. Then in the terminal I typed 'kill #'. If the number was 0001343d then I would have typed 'kill 0001343d'. Nothing happened. I thought I was using it wrong until I left the area and tested it on a bear.

I just ran into a very strange bug. I came across the dragon that guards the "Throw Voice" at Shearpoint. I think I had killed one there at an earlier level when it was a normal dragon. Now I see a frost dragon though. When I attack it, it's life doesn't move. When it lands, I attack but it's life doesn't move. I swing with my sword and it's like I'm hitting air. I don't hear the weapon hit anything. The dragon can hurt me, but it is like it turned on it's own personal little godmode with uber dodge. I ran away and tested normal animals. I could even kill other dragons. But this one frost dragon seems glitched or bugged. I decided to run in, ignoring the dragon and the dragon priest, and get the throw voice whispers and run away. Is there some way I can fix this? I tried the kill command (kill creation_id) and it didn't do anything. I'm not sure if it works on dragons. I'm about to start uninstalling all my mods. Most are new meshes and textures. I can simply ignore Shearpoint, but it is the premise of an unkillable creature. What if this bug happens elsewhere? Has anyone else had this happen and if so how did you fix it short of reinstalling the game or starting over?

I must be missing a detail. I still see a ton of duplicates in-game in the CK when I re-open the mod. To be more specific, I am trying to edit the Remodeled Armors mod to adjust the armor values to be more consistent. So let me walk thru the steps. Initial Creation 1. Open CK and enable Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and Remodeled Armors ESP 2. Make changes to armor values 3. Save as Remodeled Armors - fixes.esp Now, when I want to modify the 'Remodeled Armors - fixes.esp' it is my understanding to: Using TesvSnip, I open 'Remodeled Armors.esp' and flag it as an ESM. I save it as the same file with esp extension. I then loadup CK and enable Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Remodeled Armors.esp, and I also enable my mod 'Remodeled Armors - fixes.esp' as active mod. After a very long time it finally loads evreything and shows a bunchof "DUPLICATES". Now, had it worked, I would then unflag the 'Remodeled Armors.esp' as an ESM and save prior to playing. But this did not seem to work. I'm missing something simple...a simple step I hope. *EDIT* And while I am at it, my mod doesn't seem to work. If I modify the original ESP it is fine and works in-game. But when I try to modify an existing mod, the changes don't occur in-game. For example, I tried to make the 'Ebony Mail - Remodeled' into light armor. In-game, it still appears as heavy. I must be missing a few details is all. I have skills to modify the original mod, just not modify an existing one. I tried moving my mod (the 'Remodeled Armor fixes.esp') both above and below the original mod to see if that makes a difference, but it did not.

I greatly prefer CBBE over UNP. To me, when I look at UNP, I see everything that was wrong with how anorexic women were idealized. Too skinny with bony hips. When I went looking at armor mods for UNP, a lot of them have low-riding thongs half-way up the butt crack. I do not find this attractive at all. I can't help but say out loud "someone please give that woman a sandwich, her bones are sticking out of her skin!". To compound matters, there are a lot of armor mods available for CBBE. I see a lot of posts about how unrealistic CBBE is, but you are fighting dragons and casting magic. I grew up reading sword and sorcery comics. For me, I like to relive that in Skyrim. CBBE and the mods out there make that a viable option. If I wanted to relive anorexic bulimic models with their bony hips, I know what mod to get though.

Hello mod community, I would like to know how to create a mod that alters an existing mod. I know how to open the existing mod and alter it with the Creation Kit, but the author creates frequent updates but refuses to address the issue. More specifically, it is a collection of non-replacement armors with randomly assigned armor values. I would like to alter the armor values to be consistent with the vanilla armors. I did try to create a new mod by enabling Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and the armor mod I want to modify and then save the changes to a new mod. But now when I reopen everything (and set my mod to active) it creates duplicates of everything I modified. This seems to be a major problem. I'm not sure what to modify when I start seeing several duplicates. For now, i have been adjusting the values in the original mod. So, everytime there is a new patch (which often supplies new armors), I have to go through and readjust everything. I'd rather just modify a single mod, that alters the armor values, and only have to correct newly added armors rather than every single armor type. I appreciate your time. Thank you.
