just thought I'll contribute to this thread I think my "what have I done moment" was when I first did that quest- Waking Nightmare, where I get to the skull and Vaermina was like HE"S GOING TO BETRAY YOU, (cause it's my first playthrough I was very suspicious of him to begin with) so when she said that I pretty much backstabbed him on impulse, and then I saw her say "Vaermina commands you!" then I thought crap so I reloaded

Or because people have always wanted to change their apperance after a while, and using the console can give side effects on it. Also, xbox users can't use the console commands. I think it's a nice feature. A little weird, but nice. I didn't really understand the reasoning behind putting her in the Ragged Flagon though, I figured it'd make more sense to put her in the College of Winterhold as an Alteration Teacher or something (next to Tolfdir) (also cause the Ragged Flagon lags like hell often times for some reason)

I always thought it was just animations with my limited knowledge of these things, I would think it'd be a big performance hit if EVERYTHING was to use it I'd be ok with just hair and cloaks (big things in general, that are like cloaks) using this though I'm hoping they can get it working without absolutely needing to use SKSE

Cannot continue quest thanks to my non existent companion
Seviraph replied to Michlo's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
you should be able to fix it with the set playerfollower count 0 console command at least that was how I was able to get by it -
that video is the result of this thread http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1401274-question-harkons-vampire-lord-cape/ (take a look to get a better idea of what they're doing) would be great if the Cloak mod authors took a look at this too (well.. assuming they know how this stuff works)

Bethesda Rolls Out Skyrim Patch v1.7 BETA on Steam
Seviraph replied to xlcr's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
the bugs may be bad, but memory + stability optimization is never a bad thing, so hopefully they'll fix the bugs by the end of the beta edit: forgot to mention, I had a CTD during that time, (and it seemed to have an error to go with it, ingame, before I crashed, but it happened alittle too quickly for me to catch what it said) it happened when I loaded a save file that uses a .ESP that I turned off (so it asked if I wanted to load the game without it or something like that but that one, I'm not so sure if it was from 1.7 or not (though it hasn't happened to me before 1.7 so I think it may be from the patch) -
Bethesda Rolls Out Skyrim Patch v1.7 BETA on Steam
Seviraph replied to xlcr's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I tried this patch, and first thing I noticed was that my Shouts were disabled (requires souls again to unlock, even though they were unlocked before) and one of my quests apparently came back even though I already finished it (it was the last quest I did, actually) and I can't finish it after it came back in my journal so yeah, just a heads up to anyone planning on using the Beta, I reverted back now and things are back to normal again -
also in no particular order -WATER - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux by OpticShooter http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13268 -SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators by EtaYorius http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10175 -Under the Horizon of Dreams - Aetherian Sky by Neokore (dunno if you'd count this as immersive, but I really don't think I can play Skyrim without it after I discovered this) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1704 -Realistic Ragdolls and Force by dDefinder http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/601 -Elaborate Textiles - NPC Clothing Retexture by Miss Obsidienne http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19826 just off the top of my head, there's definitely more that I didn't list here though

speaking of tech, by that logic, isn't the Xbox 360 .. 2005 tech? or also considering when they started developing Skyrim, might influence some of these things? just a thought

I've never really been bothered by Esbern for some reason, and at least he isn't as annoying as Delphine when it came to that demand Yes yes yes! I thought it was just me. It's the timing as much as anything, it just doesn't sound like the tempo of any human's speech the way he moves from one phrase to the next. The voice itself is fine, but it doesn't even sound like a recorded take, it does literally sound like he's reading a script and trying the voice itself before paying any attention to what the words mean, the context, or the beat and tempo of speech. Generally all the voices in Skyrim are well done even if they are sometimes dislikeable, the real problem is the monotony, the majority of people really do sound the same after a while. Especially the male "commander" type voice, that's just everywhere. he's not human (I know what you mean, just kidding)
-
Off the top of my head, Tulius, his voice changed drastically at one point while talking which didn't sound so nice to me (like it went all high pitch and stuff which sounded way out of place) And maybe even Ulfric, or maybe that's just my personal opinion(didn't like how he sounded)

2,4,5,7,8,9 are valid point the rest really isn't worth complaining about IMO (that and the way OP worded it is very.. what's the word.. Dramatic? Exaggerated? So it kind of comes off as whiney or upset, so I also understand where some of the replies are comming from) it's also untrue that hardware is holding Skyrim back from everything the OP mentioned, some of them though maybe (I think flammable bushes would hurt FPS in the long run, though you can technically fake burning a bush ingame already ) (sorry if I missed a few points, on mobile so the screen isn't very convenient)

Watched the entire walkthrough on YouTube- at least for what appears to be the Vampire side and realized the only thing I'm maybe excited for is the new gear, and Crossbows - then again I remembered there's also the new perk tree and new Radiant Quests, so there's that too I'll play the DG side like I originally planned to though

Anyone else sick TO DEATH of Vampires and Werewolves?
Seviraph replied to Dahveed's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
thank you for this comment, it expresses my thoughts exactly, we need to hold off any judgement of the DLC until we actually have and experienced it that and this I don't remember many games that have Vampires and Werewolves in it, but I guess that's just me -
For your information, people are playing the Dawnguard beta on Xbox 360. What speaks against it, is that there was a werewolf and vampire perk tree shown. If you somehow could play a werebear, I'd guess they put a tree in for it as well. Otherwise it would suffer from same problems as pre-Dawnguard werewolves, they don't scale well. There are some screenshots of the Dragonbone Weapons out, so some people do play the beta, whoever they are. was it really a "Werewolf" perk tree? Or is it a "Lycanthropy" tree? Werebears would be great though

so I'm requesting a sort of mod where you can recruit your enemies to be your follower only nameless enemies can change their name customize their appearance can't change the "class" that you recruited them as you can pick where they'll go when you don't want them following you you can "dismiss" them when you don't want that follower anymore the request I had before included this feature activating when you force your enemy into submission (where they're basically begging for mercy and stuff) so basically things like that think of it sorta like pokemon cept for people or for some reason I was sorta thinking of Fire Emblem when I had this in mind as well

That's an excellent question actually. At the very least it'd be cool to find out early whether this armor is light or heavy. I hope it's heavy. It probably isn't though :( http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy327/Adamant19/originalcopy.jpg also hoping it's heavy, the pauldron and helm on it strongly suggests that it is though it would be easy to mod it into a heavy armor, I'd prefer not to have something so.. minimal(?) taking up a slot in my load order (unless mods like that don't work that way)

Why does Bethesda still not add nudity in games?
Seviraph replied to Gyiul's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
This is why you have mods, so the people who want to 'use nudity for shaming and punishment' can get their fix. :P EDIT: I will say, though, that it's funny people say that they don't want nudity for sex and yet their prime argument for nudity is that it represents shaming and punishment of their enemies. That sounds a bit... Sexual, don't you think? not to mention it seems alittle.. twisted see in the game, there's no quest that revolves around nudity or the shame of nudity, or sex there is a lot of things that involve violence, so that really shouldn't be used to compare to nudity even the main quest is about Defeating Alduin, which obviously isn't a diplomatic thing (though that would be interesting if they could pull it off) and again realism is not the best word to use on Skyrim -
Why does Bethesda still not add nudity in games?
Seviraph replied to Gyiul's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
That's reversed again. There is no "why add nudity" question, as nudity is not something you "add". Clothes are added, whereas nudity is the default state. The question is really, "why add perma-underwear?", and there's no real reason. I'm not saying people should be running around Skyrim naked, that wouldn't make sense in a tundra. I'm saying perma-underwear should not exist. it isn't real life, there is no "default state" in a video game in terms of models so "why add nudity" is not wrong the bad outweighs the good nudity brings to the game, it's as simple as that -
this is probably the most reasonable answer but Why do you think there are so few greybeards? this is pretty funny to consider chances are he just goes out at night if there wasn't anything to eat on the mountain

Why does Bethesda still not add nudity in games?
Seviraph replied to Gyiul's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
the argument works both ways, why add Nudity? why remove Nudity? what is the point? if you're talking realism, why are you trying to loot someone's underwear after you killed them? how much of an impact on your gameplay is having or not having nudity going to make? how much of the "story" does nudity impact? and also I think, people should stop using the word realism for games based in a fantasy setting, there's a different word that I can't quite recall just yet (it's related to logical, or practical) that would suit it better (can someone help me with this one?) but personally, I prefer the game without nudity -
I'm more curious about that Dragon the quest looks like it would be fun though (equipment hasn't interested me much in the trailer sadly)
-
also take into consideration that some people download to just try out the mod download =/= like and forgetting about something has nothing to do with effort
-
sounds like http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9614 if I read your description properly

Did you betray amaud motierre after DB questline is finished?
Seviraph replied to CODWAFFLE's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
pretty much I killed him for the reasons everyone else above me mentioned Amaud didn't seem like he'd be a good emperor anyways if he was going to be
