  1. Hey people, Is there some database or digital library that contains all the formulae used in Skyrim? I'm not talking about the maths necessary for the engine or anything, just all the calculations that are relevant for modders, like the detection formula or the leveling formula. I'm getting a bit tired of scorching the internet for half on hour for every little formula I'm curious about. The skyrim wiki has some of the major formulae, but I'm sort of looking for the complete package, all in one place. Thanks in advance.
  2. All right, I'm thinking it spawns in one of those outside-caves with bones where there's usually an ice troll or something, and maybe spawn half a dozen soldiers nearby for the purpose of getting slaughtered.
  3. Awesome :D It wouldn't be too hard to make this right? You'd just have to take a rabbit, buff up it's health and strength and change it's jumping value. And make it homicidal. Maybe I'll have a swing at it. Should it be named "Killer Rabbit" or "The Killer Rabbit"?
  4. Very nicely written, especially considering your age. Looking forward to reading more. If I may give you just one tip: Cut back on the adverbs. So don't let anyone say anything "bluntly" or "grimly" etc. Just use "he said." Then let their mood be known through the context, without literally naming their mood. If you do this, your story will come much more alive. So for example: Don't: "Where are we going?" the prisoner asked nervously. Do: "Where are we going?" the prisoner asked. His hands were shaking, his eyes darting back and forth. Good luck and keep up the good work!
  5. Thanks for the tips Campana. Also, I'm planning something different than the Immersion Overhaul team. They want to add more elements that increase the realism, I simply want to fix the immersion breakers. Also: I stumbled on a mod that already fixes this. Here you go: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=746
  6. What are the things about the AI that break your immersion? Please be specific, the more inspiration I have the better the mod will be! Aside from that, these are pretty good examples, especially the dog one. Grrr...
  7. When the creation kit comes out somewhere next month, I'll start making my first mod for a Bethesda engine. Since I don't want to start out too ambitious, I've decided to make a mod that fixes all the small things that break immersion. So the question I have for you guys is: What are all the little things that break your immersion? Just post it here, and if time permits, I'll pick it up. I won't promise that I'll implement every idea immediately, since I also have anoying things such as a social life and stuff, but I'll try to do my best. Here are some examples of little things that break my immersion: - Standing in a campfire/forge doesn't hurt you. Why not? You're standing in fire. - Horses can sometimes walk almost straight up a mountain. - You have spells that can level a small town, but you can't even break a small pot. It's not possible to make everything breakable (aside from the fact that it's too much work, it would probably create a lot of lag if there's to many fragments of broken stuff), but a lot of misceallaneous items such as pots could be modded to have a health rating and be breakable. - Casting ice on something that's on fire doesn't have any effect and vice versa. - When you get the special cutscene when you kill a dragon, you just see your character sitting on a dragons head and sort of waving his sword by the side of his face. It looks retarded. - You can't kill children, and that's ok, but at least they could be 'immortal' in the way that essential npc's can't really be killed, instead of being absolutely immune to any damage. These are just a few examples. So please let me know if there are any other little things that bother you and post them here. Or if you want to help on this mod/already know a mod that fixes one of these problems, just let me know and I'll post it here.
  8. No worries people. They made the exact same 'killable children' mod for Fallout 3 and New Vegas. It doesn't influence Bethesda itself, because they're not responsible for whatever modders do. As someone else already mentioned: there hasn't been any controversy about the hundreds of nude-mods. *Edit: Before I forget, there is 1 exception to the you-can-mod-whatever-rule. Nude children are ALWAYS illegal, even if it is only a videogame. I guess this speaks for itself.
  9. I fear you may be right. After your comment I tried finding some audio oneliners on the internet, but they're all filled with background noise. Anyone know of a noise-free source? This makes the game even more awesome :)
  10. There are some guys in Skyrim like guards who talk like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and I've been laughing my ass off every time I hear them. Can someone please pretty please make a mod where oneliners from Arnold are integrated into their speach? I'm sort of hoping to hear something like this: "Run! It's a dragon! Get to tha choppa!" If you succeed in this, I will build a shrine dedicated to you, take a picture and upload it. *Edit: For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, go check out this fellow: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Hrongar During the day he's usually in the throne room in Whiterun. There are others like him.
