Any chance we could get a mod made (if it doesn't exist already) that makes all wild animals (specifically wolves, bears, spiders, etc) not attack you while on horseback?
-
I have a really bad sense of direction, and would like someone to make a mod that could allow me to place a marker on the map so I can better find my way to quest objectives.
-
That's not quite what I wanted, though. None of the Live another life alternate starts are what i'm asking for.
-
I was thinking of a different kind of alternate start. One that would have your character start out at (or perhaps immediately after) the scene where the greybeards all surround and shout at the dragonborn. (At the end of the quest "The Horn Of Jurgen Windcaller"). Ideally, the character would have no skills levelled, but the main quest up to this point (and no other quests, period) completed. it would go directly to the character creation menu from there, after the greybeards welcome you. My reason for this is that I find those first few missions terribly boring, and would like to start a new character without going through them. And I find it rather immersion-breaking, as I want to roleplay as a character who had been raised by the greybeards to be the dragonborn. That's not that important, I just thought I'd explain my reasoning.

I have the exactly same problem... I think it's a Dawnguard bug. Can't be anything else. Whenever I open werewolf perk tree, game turns off and I am on desktop. No Idea what happens. I am going to try the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch now... maybe that'll help. I actually think I may have figured it out. I think the problem was actually my load order. one of the patches was loading before dawnguard when it shouldn't have been. Or maybe it was the other way 'round. Either way, try experimenting with your load order. Dawnguard is before all esms except for Skyrim, and the bug pretty much doesn't exist anymore.

Every time I try to open the vampire lord/werewolf perk tree, the game crashes to desktop. it doesn't hang, it doesn't freeze, no error message. it just crashes. I tried starting a fresh game, and seeing if that would help, but to no avail. I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue, so maybe I'm the only one.

I'm working on something similar. Trying to figure out how to set a cooldown on these new lesser powers, anyone have any ideas?
-
Have you tried running it as administrator? If I understand your problem right, I think it's the same one I had when I was messing around the other day.

Any tips on changing already existing perks? I'm planning on changing the illusion perks animage and kindred mage to both give bonuses to overall illusion skill.
-
Thanks, but I don't think this one increases the non-damaging shouts enough.I like the idea, though.

Also, scaling illusion spells and the like, maybe tying the shout magnitude and illusion spell magnitude together (assuming the game doesn't already do this) would be cool.

LE Make the Vigilants of Stendaar acutally worth something

Are you saying you want the option to give them daedric artefacts to destroy? I like this idea. But what would you get for it? -
I got to thinking, disarm is a good shout in concept. But it has a level cap of 30, which, as I understand things, means that once I reach level 30-40, would render it useless. So, I wanted to ask if anyone would be willing to uncap the max level for it, and all the other non-damaging shouts (dismay, kyne's peace, etc.). Ideally, the level cap for the shout would be the player's current level, but if that can't be done, then I suppose just uncapping it as a whole would be just as good.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to disenchant the ghost blade, and enchant other weapons with the same enchantment? Ideally with a similar "ghostly" texture as the original. I saw a similar mod that allowed crafting ghost weapons, but it had a lot of extras I wasn't interested in.

So, I play as an archer, but I always have the problem of running out of arrows. I tried switching to the bound bow to avoid this problem, but for a good number of reasons, that just doesn't work as well for me. It's not strong enough. So I was wondering if someone could make a spell that only summons the bound arrows, in a set of 100 for the player(instead of the bow and arrows). I'd imagine you could just edit the bound bow spell and remove the actual bow from the spell, and just leave the arrows.

I dunno, I thought that the series was headed to a point where the thalmor, and by extension, the altmer as a whole would dominate the 'men' races of Tamriel. I.e. whatever the next game would be would have a setting where the elves have their own empire. also, I think that your idea for a "true" ending like this defeats the point of the game's choice system. No side is supposed to be correct. Everyone is supposed to be wrong, and as far as I can tell, the aldmeri dominion wins, no matter what choices the dragonborn makes.

And craftable dwemer goggles, too. :D

I think that he meant that you wouldn't receive the quest in the first place. Unless the mod allows you to remove quests that you haven't done yet. -
I second this. from my (limited) knowledge of modding, it seems easy. Not the kind of thing I could do, but...
-
do you think you could make it happen? with the horse skeleton method, how would you get the character to climb things too steep for even the horse to walk on?
-
If memory serves, there is a mod that does something similar, but it also reverses the way powers work. I think the OP wants to keep the powers system, but also make you get prettier when you feed. kind of like the bishonen line.

I want someone to get better hotkeys like the oblivion mod, where you can use shift+number, or alt+number, or if possible, use the num pad as a separate set of hotkeys from the main numbers.

I remember seeing a mod that allowed you to keep the same basic shape of a weapon (i.e. steel greatsword) but make it out of a different material (i.e. malachite) while retaining the same shape, just a different colour. I was wondering if someone had the idea to write a script that forces you to make all your swords look the same until you find a different one already made, giving you access to the "blueprints" to that sword design. My reason for this was that how is it logical for a character to make this big, ornate, fancy daedric greatsword, when he's never even seen what one looks like? Also, it would be pretty cool to craft an orcish greatsword (imo one of the best-looking weapons in the game) out of a stronger material. How difficult would something like that be? Can it even be done?
