  1. Hi guys, sorry if a mod like this has already been asked about, but I did a quick search and couldn't see anything else. Door knocking. I know one exists - Locked Doors and Knocking v102, but it only works for most of the doors in the smaller cities. Imperial city and the wilderness homes etc, it does not work for. The mod author did mention they may be added in time, but it's been three years or so since he uploaded it. So my question, is there another mod out there that I haven't found that lets you knock on a NPC's door and have them answer, instead of just walking straight in? Thanks in advance.
  2. He said he wants to be able to log in and download the steam server updates when required. If he blocks steam completely he won't be able to download the steam updates, and if he unblocked it he would have the same problem. I don't know of a way to be able to fully choose what updates you want, and while using steam in offline mode it may still download the update =/. Actually with certain firewalls like mine you can have a vast number of settings and can therefore customize the way you want to handle Steam. I have mine on a permission only setting which means I can say Allow or Deny when information is requested and in my other settings I have the firewall set to not bother me when I have programs X Y Z running. Super customizable advanced firewalls ftw bro. True. Can be a pain in the ass though especially for the not-so-competent PC users. It really should be as simple as clicking a "do not update my f***ing game" check box.

  4. I used to really like the idea of steam and what it did, but having a really low monthly cap on my broadband I could never download anything -_-. But I absolutely despise that a game I bought in the damn store is dependent on something like this - If I don't want to use steam, I shouldn't have to. The funny thing is, all this lame protection that gaming companies use doesn't do jack s*** to stop the pirates, games and even patches are still very easy to download and install. Pirates get the game for free and don't have to deal with any of this bulls***.
  5. Hey guys, my first post haha. Anyway, I decided to try merge all of the unofficial patches and fixes into one OMOD-Ready archive with a nice script that lets you choose what patches etc. you would like to install. It's all working well so far, but being that I'm pretty new to the oblivion modding scene (figured I would get a little experience before skyrim), I'm not sure what other patches and fixes are good to include into it. So far I have; UOP USIP UOMP Unofficial Patch Supplementals & Weapon Expansion Pack for Oblivion Nthusiasts weapon fixes Anything else that should be added in? Main reason I'm doing this is to help me learn a little bit especially about scripting, but it's also nice when everything is in one nice easy to install package. I also want to add in checks for incompatibilities with other mods that warn the user while installation. So pretty much all I need is more fixes/patches if there are any more worth adding in, and also the known conflicts with popular mods (I think I will probably add in certain patches that allow UOP and the other unofficial patches to work with the more popular mods as well). Basically I just want a GIANT unofficial patch pack - (possible name? GUPP? lol!). Thanks in advance for any help.
