  1. So, I talked my gf into killing a chicken which was all fun and games, but she did not have a save near that spot.....now everyone wants to kill her and we have no clue how to yield. So is the game screwed or is it possible to yield and pay off whatever fine there is?
  2. Screw the imperials, they pissed me off in morrowind, they pissed me off in oblivion. They'll piss me off here as well
  3. I am here for the modding community and lack of average idiots.
  4. haha I loled I've been talking about the return of cliffracers since I got here :D Totally doing it
  5. Quick travel, quest markers, and the items. I miss the feeling I had when I got a daedric suit in morrowind, knowing that after the expansions there are only 2 in the game. I also disliked the total lack of character in the different regions Shivering isles was a very good expansion though and made up for the flaws of the first game. From what I see skyrim will be more morrowind and fallout than oblivion and fallout so I am happy.
  6. ....well we will find out on 11,11,11 wont we? Can't people 1, wait for the game, and 2, quit leaking or coming up with crap.
  7. I like it! Thats like combining my work with TES! too bad its such an immersion breaker :/ (gets idea for tes XV)
  8. Wife-Wife Darkbrotherhood assassination team! I have faith in the modding community as well. Who knows, if I find the same I may do some scripting myself :D
  9. I am sure it will be modded in there to allow the main hand to cast a spell while using a weapon. Just only "pure" magic can do the power up. Maybe limit the shield hand to have a healing spell and the sword arm can cast dmg?
  10. You know why they wont let us look down and see our feet? because they would have to make it so we can see our chest as well and guys would just sit and stare at their chick's tits.... We would NEVER make it out of the intro once a nudity mod comes out.... if someone thinks I am serious, just go sit in a corner and drink some skooma
  11. I think the wait for skyrim is finally getting to me. Up till now it really was just in the back of my mind and not something that ment all that much. This morning changed it all... I started my morning run @ 6am (helps me sleep when I get back). All is normal until about halfway through where I started hearing things. Not the normal crazy person talking to me, but instead someone of nordic person saying that I am not worthy of skyrim because I take it for granted. I thought this was hillarious at first because it had been about 3 days since I last slept so I just continued on. I get back to the house around 7am (always go for long runs, min 5 miles, max 10) and as I walk in I swore I heard my girlfriend mutter N'wah. I turned and said, "what the hell did you just say to me?" She simply replied, "I said hi..." So at this point I am more than a little worried but I knew I'd run myself down enough to sleep to I pass out. This is where it gets very interesting. I dreamed about being my character in oblivion and about her trip to skyrim (elves don't die form old age). That in and of itself was weird as hell. I began my run past bruma through a pass into skyrim to meet an armored mudcrab with a sign saying No Elves Allowed. I quickly slay them with some midas magic mayham (couldn't tell you the spell but it looked cool so I assume it was midas) and continue my trek through the pass. Near the end of this adventure I finally made it into skyrim, but only to be greeted by a dragon who literally spoke with the voice of sean connery, " Hahaha silly elf there is no admittance for like likes of you. atleast not until 11,11,11 so we can kill you." At that point I woke. So I have come to some conclusions First, no sleep is bad Second, a glass of absinthe to help knock yourself out after 3 days no sleep is REALLY bad. Third, I think the game will have it out for my like oblivion and morrowind. Back when I was a console gamer my xbox literally destroyed my oblivion disc the first day...... As for morrowind, it let me get to the point of godhood on the original xbox and then would crash on every save. I couldn't walk anywhere because the game lagged and would crash. Maybe it was too many daedra, maybe it was that when I killed the heart, azura never spawned and I had a bugged game. SKOOMA IS A POWERFUL DRUG, but TES has it out for me..... So anyone else as F***ed up as me? Or have as bad of luck?
  12. I am ignoring everything relating to the game because I don't want to spoil it. If that means in a couple days no tesnexus then so be it.
  13. I'm rethinking my vote. Black Marsh + Morrowind. Main quest having two options, restoring the land of morrowind with the dunmer or helping the argonian takeover. Both crossing paths at some point and having to disregard past issues to fight a common evil :D
  14. Or invert it! Or use a xbox controller with a pc because it is supported :D
  15. How the hell does a topic about WERESHARKS get 6 pages.....
  16. Valenwood or a morrowind remake post destruction :D
  17. Good book wasn't it? I think I enjoyed it more than the LOTR collection. Read all of those when I was a child and the hobbit is still one of my favs. Work and morrowind are whats holding me over.
  18. I preordered with overnight shipping...yay no wait...holiday I wont be playing till saturday :(
  19. I would say low assuming that the other stats are atleast the min. Could you post your CPU and memory specs?
  20. Dont mean to be rude but with oblivion you just turn off the vsync. idk about fallout3. I didnt have to do anything with the ini. I would say people should just benchmark their hardware with other demanding games. I use crysis 2 and furmark (even more demanding). for furmark if you do your native rez (1920x1080 in my case) and get a score over 1000 (about 17fps) in the basic benchmark you should have no problem what so ever. It is VERY demanding. At first I thought my score sucked, but I checked and found a score from a GTX 580 that was LOWER than mine (with i7 @ 3.5ghz). I was shocked. If anyone uses furmark do take into account that the high marks are all multi card rigs. As for the accuracy of this, I cannot be sure but it seems reliable. Do not use the burn in utility unless you have good cooling because it really stresses the rig. All things aside we dont have the game so we dont know how demanding it is. When people say you can max it they are saying that you SHOULD be able to play it with a reasonable frame rate. I plan on posting a benchmark for my laptop when I get the game (screenshots of recorded reports). and to the OP, as said FRAPs is your friend.
  21. Stealth with a little mage and a dash of warrior
  22. Yeah you should be fine with medium. I am wondering if I can get around 60fps with my setup maxed out at 1920x1080. I really really doubt it but tell me what you think I'll get fps wise. hopefully at least avg 45. (including all the crazy texture packs that come out eventually) I5-2500k 4.5Ghz @ 1.26v with Corsair a70 fan 8 Gb 1600 corsair vengeance RAM windows 7 64 bit home premium asus p8p67 pro (rev 3.1) mobo msi twin frozr III gtx 570 (not overclocked) Yeah I don't think you'll have much of an issue with the game at all. I mean the recommended is saying that you have way more graphical power needed and you have your cpu going at a nice rate paired with 1600mhz ram. if my laptop can get 35-40 fps in maxed (hardcore/extreme) @ 1920/1080 crysis 2 then your desktop should get way more. And being that skyrim isnt going to be as much of a powerhog, I would expect my laptop to get an easy 60-70 maxed. Oblivion with 8x AA, view distance maxed and everything else at max I average between 110 and 150 running through the trees. In town is 150+. Mind you that the GPU is overclocked.
  23. I remember it too, but in all fairness I never have nor will I use UESP for example when it comes to TES. I don't even buy the guide till months after to fill in the gaps just so I continue to have that feeling of discovery. Blogs would kinda ruin it for me but to each their own. I also don't want to record my game, I want ot play it and focus on my enjoyment.
  24. Overclocking will burn that laptop's videocard faster than when you aim a flamethrower at it. If it's not neccesary, don't do it. Note to the op. DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE TECHNICAL SIDE OF COMPUTERS Not if you know what you're doing. With modern air cooling laptops aren't as bad as they were say 3-4 years ago. I Would not try to do a CPU and with the GPU crank it up slowly. Look at the GTX 570m in this laptop, the stock core is around 525 mhz, I have it at 700. The shader clock is 1400 and the memory is 1800. I am using a MSI GT780DX with 16gb of 1866 ddr3 and a i72630QM. I won't mess with the cpu but using an overclock tool like the MSI afterburner I slowly cranked the speed up till under load, after 25-30 minutes the GPU temp was around 70C (room temp is around 35C). If it is under 80C you wont have too many issues, cooler is prefered. I use the Kombuster to messure fps and if the gain in fps isnt much but the gain in heat is, I back it up to where its worth it. Now when I am in a hotter area (say 40c like last week) I would drop it to 600mhz, 1200mhz, and 1800 (core, shader, memory). As for your card, I do not know if there is firmware that disables overclocking on it. I would download MSI AFTERBURNER and see what your card is running at (both speed and temp). MSG me the information and I'll help you if it is possible. It would also help to know what make and model the laptop is so I can see the cooling setup (1 fan+1vent, 2fan 2 vent, 1fan 2vent, ect) I would ask what the speed of your ram is because it does help the cpu. It shouldn't have too much issues with skyrim on its lowest or middle settings but until the game comes out we won't know.
