Does this mod have an fps capping function? I'm looking for something to cap my fps to 60 on my mgso morrowind set up. I've already tried changing the max fps setting in the morrowind ini and it didn't work :(

I'm having the same problems as well. In some dungeons it's so bad that I literally can't move on in the dungeon without using the "tcl" command. It's gone from annoying to incredibly immersion breaking. :(

[WIP] True Lichdom - Nexus Thread # 1

Most of the really good mods for oblivion and morrowind didn't come out within the first year of the games release. Personally I have no problem waiting for this awesome sounding mod. I've been following this thread long before I ever got the game and even longer before I had a good enough computer to run it. I would rather you hold on to it and finish it your way then posting something unfinished. Even if it takes a while till you decide to work on it again, I have no problem with that. No matter how long it takes, I have no doubt that this will be a wonderful mod :) -

Who says it has to look like either? I have to think that making a lich model would be even easier now that Dawnguard has come out on PC. Maybe he could find a way to adapt the vampire lord movement animations with the model of a Dragon priest and go from there. Wouldn't know how it all works though, just got into moding myself.... Anyway I look forward to this mods completion ;) -

That's a relief. So far, this mod seems like the coolest quest (let alone unique) based mod concept out there at the moment! I'm praying for the day that it's completed so that I can try it out. Might need to make a completely different character for it though. My current character has a quite a bit invested into vampirism. True Lichdom will probable go fairly well with the Necromancy mod that I am using right now though, it's called "Psikoticsnecromancy mod." Adds entire branches of perks and spells to the Conjuring school soely for necromancy. -

Does anybody know if this project is still active? I've been following it for a while and it seems like it's dead in the water. Really hope it isn't though. I've seen the screen shots on what he has done so far. It should be freakin' awesome if it ever does get finished! -
Porting content from other games
crosbyalexander42 replied to Dark0ne's topic in Formal Warnings, Bans and Takedowns
If you write it from scratch, no problem! I've seen excellent, by-hand reproductions of lots of materials; models, textures, game-play features, even whole episodes, from one game into another. Those are some of the most enjoyable mods, especially for the folk familiar with both games. Our restriction is on the porting (taking) of the underlying code without permission. ('round here, that's called "stealing", and we don't tolerate it.) Good Luck! Does voice acted dialog count as ported material? I've been playing with the idea of making a total conversion in skyrim for the "Knights of the Old Republic I." I understand that I would need to make and construct all of the messes, textures, and what ever else myself, but does voice acted dialog from the game, if I was to some how pull it from the game and put it into this mod, be considered to be ported material? With this question in mind, would music from other games (like Zelda or Knights of the Old Republic I) also be considered ported material? -

I wouldn't think so. Keep in mind that every person that has ever come into contact has been tricked into either eternal servitude or the lose of their very soul, for that is the only thing that can be used for barganing with them. So what is there to stop them from doing that same thing to you? It's very simple. They cannot take your soul for you are Dragonborn and have the soul of a dragon. It was for this reaon why they could not take Durnehviir's soul and instead was tricked into eternal servitude. With this in mind, my thinking in this is that the Dragon Born would offer himself to serve them eternally, providing to them a steady stream of souls, and in exchange you are given power beyond your wildest dreams and an insatiable thirst for souls (in many ways becoming very similar to the ideal masters themselves only differing in the scale of power). It would be through this thirst that they enslave you to do there biding, cursed to forever gather souls for all eternity. Forever unable to satisfy that insatiable thirst. I think that this idea is actually very similar to almost that same as the Vampire Lich concept proposed here in the True Lichdom mod, the difference being that it would be more lore based (in my opinion). Then again to do something like this delfofthebla would have to stop production, wait for the release of Dawnguard to the PC, and then have to rework everything that he has already completed for the Vampire Lich (which I think would be unrealistic). So if anything it is just an idea or maybe something I could do (when I finally get my Desktop computer and am able to begin modding) to addon to this mod if it is ever completed. If that doesn't work out, then maybe this could maybe just be some good material for delfofthebla to think about (maybe if he were ever willing to do a second installment of some sort) ;) By the way I accidentally posted this twice. A little new to this. Not sure how to unpost something on this site yet.... -

Have to say. Just started getting interested into modding and have been wanting to make a lich mod for even longer. That's when I went searching the internet for existing Skyrim Lich mods. You guys beat me to the punch!! But kudos to the mod so far in it's making. You've come up with ideas and concepts I would never have dreamed of!! Very Cool!! I personally was thinking of making a lich mod with a quest line link with different groups of people, from a cult of necromancers seeking immortality, the dragon cult of old seeking an emissary or modern day Vanguard (maybe even have it where you go back in time like you do with the wooden mask script effect), and (depending when Dawnguard is released for PC), the ideal masters of the Soul Cairn with which you make a deal with for power in exchange for a steady stream of souls as payment. And depending on who you pledge yourself to you would be given a different form of lichdom. But whatever, any idea isn't to be owned by one individual. That aside I hope to see the day this mod is finished. It will be definetly be the first mod I try out and would probably easily be my favorite!! Keep up the good work ;)
