  1. No, AeonsLegend, I don't have these issues without mods. Its only with the mods loaded but I can't find the problem. Thinking about just eliminating the first mod that shows the problem which we know will be 1 i don't want to lose. lol

Long story short, I start new game, load a few of the large essential mods that i use and these 3 issues arise; 1. when my toon goes to sleep i awake to a black screen which also goes back 3 previous saves. Can move and change directions but screen is black. Can't see or do jack. 2. Same mods loaded, go to computer terminals, like 1 in museum basement for Core. attempt entry, fail, wait 10 seconds like it does and am then locked out. Have to use cheats to bypass. 3. Last but definitely not least, same mods and CANNOT fast travel at all. No way, no how. Also have to use cheats to bypass. (coc commands) I have removed mods and restarted game multiple times to try and find the problem but to no avail thru process of elimination. Remove 1 mod, start new game, see if issue fixed. The above issues pop no matter what i do. I have checked all the mods to see if there is a noticeable conflict. They all show green or acceptable across the board. I'm asking for a direction to look that maybe I missed. Love this game and the mods i use but these issues are frustrating. That's about it. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give. CyB
  3. Hi DiodeLadder, Took a look at your suggestion. That wasn't it. Thanks for the thought though. Went ahead and switched to Firefox and all working well now. Actually better than with Chrome so i'm staying with FF. I'm guessing the glitch is in my Chrome somewhere but not gonna bother with it for a while. Thanks again!
  4. Is it just me or can no one else download files thru NMM? I can get the main file that I add to my files but when I click the button for download thru NMM it just sits there. Doesn't even try to open the file. Turned off all security mods and other browser helpers and same results. Any ideas? Thanks
  5. As my tag says I got a conflict issue that i'm curious about. Short story, building an armory, getting as many guns as I can to populate it and there's where the issue comes up. Got most of the ones I have to work as ESL's but there are about 30 that I really wanted that apparently conflicted somewhere so I just dumped them when they did. Kinda ate at me though... (SIDE NOTE- those that i dumped, tried as both ESP and ESL and LO position to see if those were possible problems before dumping them.) MY questions, "Is there a way thru some form of Merging to get the conflicted files to be use-able or not? Such as 1 large merged file or even several smaller (5 files per) merged files?" I ask here before I go bang my head against the wall to learn Merge Plugins or Wyre Bash. Not that I don't want to cause I need to anyway but I feel it best to ask the Mod Gods before I do that and find out if i'd be wasting my time. I would appreciate any insight you wish to impart to me and Thank You in advance for any help.
  6. As the title says Fast Travel won't work at all. I have tried all the known fixes that I could find. The Listening Post terminal trick, the Resetting of layers trick, and the oh so popular, go thru LO and check each mod. Well I thought that I had found the culprit but when I re-start same problem. Does anyone know of a way to fix or of what mods may affect Fast Travel? Any nudge in a possible direction would be appreciated. I'm down to coc commands to travel now. Doable but a little annoying. Thanks
  7. (@TheGadget1945) Yes, yes it is. Works best there. (@MrpacmanJ26) Just my 2 cents but i NEVER quicksave anymore. Had issues doing that about 6 months ago and had nothing but CTD because of it. Don't know why but did. Checked here on forums and a lot of ppl suggested hard saves over QS. Another thought, did you load game that CTD from exitsave or hardsave? I load all mine from HS and haven't had a crash in months. Sorry couldn't be more helpful but like I said, just my 2 cents.
  8. Doesn't NMM automatically keep a copy of the manually-downloaded mod version in its Mod folder? As long as you don't remove that folder you always have the original copies of the mods. Yes as long as the original mod isn't removed like this one was. Then the file goes away.
  9. Yes, it does store a hard copy of all mods you have downloaded with NMM itself. Open NMM and click here: http://orig03.deviantart.net/4d49/f/2017/143/2/f/untitled_by_kevinflemming1982-dba7qqn.png It will open the folder that the mods are kept in. So long as you haven't selected the "Delete mod permanently" option, they will always be there. Sorry but this is not true. When you D/L a file it will put the raw "Manual Download" version in that folder HOWEVER, if the mod author removes said mod then the raw file will also go away. I have all 5 of the SnB files in my personal backup but only 4 available in the abovementioned file. Main file Snap n Build is missing (after it was removed from NMM).

  11. DeathMotif, Either i'm doing something wrong or it just ain't supposed to happen but it will not show up under FO4Edit (xEdit) at all. Could it be because all mods are in Data folder and CK is in Fallout folder, (Data parent folder)? Imma try a trick and see what happens. Nope, not an esp file so won't scan it. Screw it. Who wants to mod anyway....sigh lol Wow, what a dunce I was there. Read your idea wrong or somethin'. "Nope, not an esp file so won't scan it." DER!!! Scan the mod not the CK you mook. heh Long night. Did scan mod, no issues. CK just hates me now.
  12. Great suggestions Skeriphin & Deathmotif. I will give those all a try. I'm starting to think that Win 10 prolly screwed it up a bit too. I remember in Win 7 it worked much better. Oh well, live and learn,ya? Thanks
  13. Hi Craw25, No it will start. Basically I can fire it up, it loads all 3 main windows plus the CK frame window no problem. I then do the load routine. FO4.esm and then other mod for example to run. It goes thru the process of loading but it mostly crashes now on damn near everything like world spaces, interior cells, and items. Occasionally I can get somethings to load but eventually they crash too. Weird thing is I have 16GB of ram and CK only pulls 2-3 GB max. Just can't figure it out. About to give up completely. Well, imma see about your idea. I'll try anything at this point. Thanks!
  14. Ok, for all of you mod masters here this will be a redundant issue, (point at newb and lol), heh heh but for me this is exasperating. I have used CK before to open other mods to "get a feel" for how they are made so that I can use that for my own mods but not anymore apparently. Today, 5-18-17, early this AM I get up and with some me time (finally) I threw myself into CK to change 1 bit of a current mod i'm using to build bigger and then WAS going to work onna simple 1 shots mod of my own. Well, that didn't happen. Emphasis on that was up there is because I have spent the past 5 hrs. trial and error-ing my way thru CK to see exactly why it will not work at all. It loads fine with a 2GB pull to start and run. Normal. (16GB available) I open Data files, FO4.esm, others. You know the routine. It will let me load small rooms and outside small to medium areas but anytime i try to load large things it crashes. Even does it on small and medium size things at times so its an equal opportunity crasher. Its only pullng 2-3GB memory to run like it always has but now it just will not run right at all. I have read and implemented dozens of possible online suggested fixes today and NONE have worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, CyB
  15. As much as I hate to say this, Thank God it's not just me this is happening to!!! (Sorry AWAR) Finally futzing around to make a mod and every 3-5 minutes...CRASH! Stable platform would be sooo nice.
  16. Last post for this thread. PROBLEM IS FIXED Went ahead and used SetImageSpaceModifiersEnabled 0 and all was well. Then a bit later last night, 5-7-17, I verified files and that command no longer works. As a matter of fact none of the 3 options work anymore. Was like, DAMN! No worries though. Looking thru Fallout4. ini I noticed this; [imageSpace]bDoRadialBlur=1 Was like, "Why is there a radial blur in here?" radial = radius... circular blurring--- DING,DING,DING!!!Same prob I was having. Well I changed that 1 to an 0 and pow, problem all gone. No more re-typing each and every time I log in. Thank You God! lolPoking this FO4 beast til I get all its secrets. I will prevail!!!Cheers all!

  18. Long story short, fiddled with game, it went BOOM! Got it working again but an odd side effect occurred. Every time I start game it loads fine albeit a bit slow at times and then voila!. Most recent save pops up and though I can play game and it looks ok I get this odd fuzziness along the outer inch of the screen on all four edges. Now I did a search and found some fixes. The one that works for me is SetImageSpaceModifiersEnable 0. I know, If you fixed it what's the issue? Glad you asked phantom voice! I am wondering if anyone knows how to make this an automatic function when game starts instead of me having to tilde key insert it into game every time I start it up? Stop laughing, please. Don't know how I did it either but this is where i'm at so... HELP!!!!!!!! Thank You in advance :)
  19. Well Zog, I went ahead and gave FO4Edit a shot. Obviously I still have a lot to learn. Bottom line, I had it working fine for a bit. Fix some, check game, rinse and repeat. Weeeell, somewhere along the way I hit the "idiot" button and bam, game over. Epilogue, reload game, check all mods and pray. Luckily it worked. Back up and playing. Still CTD out of the blue at times and still can't see missing items without that older mod. Oh well. I'll take what I can get while learning more about the bones of modding. heh heh
  20. Just a suggestion, in future be sure that when you d/l any mod files with NMM button you ALSO manually d/l those same files just for this kind of incident. Takes a bit of storage space and little work to manually install some mods but prevents any "lost mods" issues like this. You may never, hopefully, need to fix mods but this gives you that little insurance against this issue. I know its helped me with a few mods.
  21. Here's the story. Last night, 5-3-17, was going to label some boxes for storage in game and couldn't find my pre-made labels anywhere in workshop menus even though some original boxes still had original labels on them in game. Now i'm no expert but I do know that those labels wouldn't be there unless the resources to create them were still in game. So I d/l'ed an older mod that I loved but no longer seems to work correctly, ALL DLC Building independent patch - Nuka World by lathspell and sure enough there were the missing labels as well as other missing items that i have no access to outside of having "All DLC" mod active. I know, just put that mod in and run with it right? well tried that and Decorations menu disappears from main screen but stays visible on SKE menu. odd huh? Tried fixes to bring it back but only returned when "All DLC" was removed. After all that up there here's my question, "Is there anyway to start new toon without mods and only game DLC at first and then slowly adding and checking each mod to find my "covering" mods culprit WITHOUT screwing up my other toons full (273 plugins) mod layout?" I ask because I have read that removing mods mid game can have interesting results to say the least. Figure new start would be easiest way to find issues. I have a ton of building mods which i really like. Been playing with some to learn modding and eventually trimming and combining where I can to reduce esp limit, at limit and beyond now. Yet after the above fiasco it distresses me that I'm losing some vanilla items that I would like to have in game. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

RedRocketTV, after trying some more "tricks" including making new toon and trying to enter NW, failed btw, I was drawn back to your idea of a file within a folder instead of a mod being the issue. Soooo, long story short, went thru all retex mods 5 at a time and found it. Turns out its a better flames mod that is no longer on the NMM. Not gonna get rid of it though and re-naming files didn't fix but if I remember to disable plug-in all works well. (Really like the way it makes flames look real! lol) Anyway, Thank You again for your help and suggestion that pushed me in right direction.
  23. RedRocketTV, I'm not using that water mod but I am using Vivid Waters so I'll chk that and see if it has that file as well. I'll try anything at this point. lol EDIT Only files in my water folder are Defaultwater and VW_Water sooo imma guess it ain't there. heh Thanks for the suggestion though
  24. Well Fonger, I tried it. Added a bit more on the track into NW but still CTD. Thanks for the idea though.
