Not speculation, but in-game mystery. Of course I have read these documents, having completed the game serveral times... ;) The info I mentioned previously is from a book in the game, the exact name escapes me, but it is written in romantic narrative, and has a mystical way of describing the events of the Dwemer/Chimer war. The book also mentions Dreugh 'clockwork warriors' that draggeed the Dwemer centurions below the waves... Interesting.

The 'idle' animation of the corprus stalker is quite unsettling. Watch the horrible fellow as he holds his head in torment... When you swipe him down with a daedric dai-katana, you are doing him a favour, I reckon.

In the romanticised versions of the Red Mountain battle, the lore speaks of the hard-pressed Dwemer deploying a 'walking-star' which was eventually destroyed by the opposing divine powers. Was this a 'numidium' war-machine, like the one used by the first human emperor? Or was it a Dwemer hyper weapon, something on a far grander level? Whatever this elusive and huge machination was, it's destruction was what caused the red mountain to become a land of direness. This doom co-incided with the Dwemer's vanishing. Did the dwemer have some magic-powered disaster on an atomic scale? No one will ever know.

When a greater bonewalker is trying to get through a closed door - that looks freakish. I guess skeleton warriors and those frozen dead zombies in Blood Moon are the most unatural and evil creatures around.

I don't celebrate xmas, but a relaxing holiday, with Morrowind and a crate of red bull is my perfect situation!
