Thanks for the reply. Did you manually manage the mods from then on or link your game with NMM?

I have a Data folder and SkyrimPrefs ini from a Skyrim install with about 140 mods on an external drive. Would it be possible to install Skyrim on my system and replace corresponding folders in order to play with these mods? I would then manually assemble the load order. My biggest concern is where installing SKSE would come into play. The files I have are from a Skyrim install that is ~5 months old btw.
