  1. I've always hated that the MEC soldiers' stat progression makes it a stupid idea in the long run to convert anything other than a Corporal Sniper into a MEC - it's always put me off using Meld for creating MECs until the late game, since otherwise their Aim is abysmal. I've seen that it's possible to mod MEC stat progression easily enough in an .ini file, but it looks like all MECs share the same progression tree, regardless of their original class. Is it somehow possible to make a MEC gain Aim as per their original 'base' class though?
  2. Hi everyone, I've been thinking about making 2 different kinds of mods, but I'm a bit new to this so I'm wondering what can and can't be done in terms of modding. So could you please let me know if: 1) Can you change what item types you can use armor enhancements on? Let me explain this one: in my game, I found a diagram for a pair of 'Duelists Gloves'. Turns out they're pretty awesome... and surprisingly, they have an enhancement slot! However, I was quickly disappointed to find that even though they have a slot, I can't actually use it. It looks like armor enhancements are restricted only to torso armor (and runes exclusively to weapons). I was hoping ot create a small mod to change that behavour and allow armor enhancements on gloves with enhancement slots too. The problem is, I don't know if it's possible. None of the entries in the .xml files for the armor enhancements or their stats include any data on what item types they can be used on, so I'm guessing this informaton - if it's even editable - must be somewhere else. Does anyone know where this might be? 2) Can you change item behaviour in general? This might tie in to the above question. I was thinking of trying to change some item behaviour in general - for example, making it that potions can be used used from quickslots (perhaps even together with some sort of animation for Geralt) or from the inventory, without needing to meditate. However, fundamental potion behaviour - again - seems to be coded somewhere other than in the potion xml files. Can the behaviour of item types be changed in any way?
