  1. Another auspicious project I'm looking forward to! A fascinating main quest surrounding this new area would be the cherry on the cake.

    I'm gonna focus on completing the landmass itself first (better than nothing, riight??)

     

    Then I'm gonna turn focus to the main quest. If you want a very basic summary of it, here goes:

     

    As strange crystals are appearing in Orsinium, the militaristic and religious Wardens take up residence in the old fortress of Greywall.

    As you investigate the crystals you end up going to Cyrodiil to talk to the Magister of Archaeology at the Arcane University. (who did research on these crystals some 30 years ago)

    Things move on and you discover the Wardens, lead by Archmaster Gonriv, are involved in some highly disturbing religious cult stuff. And much more is at stake than you originally thought.

    Obviously there's much more detail and plot points... but play the mod to find out the rest ;)

  2. Don't mean to be a party pooper or a meanie, but Beyond Skyrim: High Rock will probably be dealing with Orsinium too. While I applaud you giving this a shot, I think that big mods would be more likely to get off the ground if they had more skilled folks joining their ranks instead of doing their own thing which happens to be the same thing (Or similar)

     

    That said, I am interested in seeing what you come up with.

    I'm fully aware of that! I think it's the Hammerfell Team, though, since the new Orsinium is between Skyrim and Hammerfell. And I've also been in slight contact with them a few months ago.

     

    However, their vision of Orsinium is not my vision. So I'm going to keep working on this. This is also a chance for me to release all my unfinished projects, since I can cram them into this mod to exponentially increase it's awesomeness ;)

     

    This mod will allow you to explore deserts and Yokudan ruins, you'll be able to travel to the Arcane University of Cyrodiil and down into the earth and brave fiery lava caverns. There's plenty more, of course, but it's just not the same as Beyond Skyrim has planned for their version of the orc homeland.

    WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO?


    It adds an entire new province to the game. Namely, the homeland of the Orcs.


    Access to Orsinium is provided by a mountain pass in southwestern Skyrim.


    When in Orsinium, you will have an entirely new map to explore. New enemies to fight. New NPCs to meet. And new music playing in the background.


    Eventually there will be new quests as well.




    LONGER DESCRIPTION


    Travel beyond the borders of Skyrim and venture into the harsh mountain kingdom of Orsinium, that the Orcs call their home. Orsinium is nothing like Skyrim. Where the Nords live in snowy


    pine forests, the Orcs dwell in a desert-like valley, surrounded by jagged mountains and the occasional tropical oasis. The tall mountains surrounding Orsinium shield it from the cold winds, making it


    habitable to many of the dangerous creatures of Hammerfell. So beware the wilderness!



    Travelling to Orsinium City itself, situated ontop a central mountain in the valley, is not automatically safer, though. The Orcs are not very hospitable to outsiders. The city is ruled by King Gortwog, who is protected by


    his elite Honor Guards. Orsinium City has an arena pit. Much of the city consists of ancient, withering structures; a remnant from the time when Yokudans inhabited the valley.



    Other places of note in Orsinium are Dunhoff, a mining colony, and Fang Lair, an ancient Dwarven mine. There is also a small orc stronhold, Snow-Hearth, located far up in the mountains.


    Plenty of old Yokudan ruins also dot the valley and are the home of pariah bandits and the feared Dune Wraiths. Rumor has it that Orsinium City is actually built on top of an ancient Yokudan temple complex.



    The Orsinium Valley features a few different landscapes. You can find snowy mountains, redwood forests, deserts, rocky badlands, a tropical oasis, savannas and pine forests.


    Various creatures not seen in Skyrim live in the valley. Some of these are: lumbering Mountain Lizards, deadly Ungulants and bloodthirsty Harpies.



    Good things to know: King Gortwog has banned the worship of Malacath and reinstated Trinimac as the chief Orcish deity. Worshippers of Malacath live as pariahs in the wilderness.


    Recently, the Orcish mining operations have unearthed a new, durable metal, dubbed Trinium.


    In pursuit of the Trinium metal, the Orcs have also uncovered passages leading deep into the mountain below the city.



    [Main Quest - Not Yet Implemented] - The strictly religious and devout Wardens are amassing in the old fortress of Greywall, under the leadership of Archmaster Gonriv. Meanwhile, glowing crystals are coming to life across Orsinium. The Orcish King Gortwog calls for a champion to investigate these disturbing developments.

    -Quests are not top priority before worldbuilding is done. (Though I have a really cool mainquest in mind)


    -Occasional voice acting might be a good idea to implement quickly, though.

    Transforms Riften into a city worthy of the presence of the Thieves Guild!

    Description
    Beware! "Riften - Thief Edition" transforms Riften into a much denser and much more thiefy place. Gone is the beauty of the surrounding aspen forest. It has been replaced by mud, barrels, crates, wagons, rats, thiefs, ladders and other rather murky and unpleasant things.

    I found Riften to be too nice. It was supposed to be corrupted and run by the Thieves Guild and the greedy Black-Briars. This city did not reflect this in the vanilla game. In this mod, however, it does.

    This first release includes mostly eye-candy. That means most changes are only visual. However, there are some changes which may affect gameplay, such as: Access to the roof-tops by use of ladders and climbing. There are also valuable items spread out across several locations in the city. If you spend enough time searching, you might sell them and earn a small fortune.
    Since I have added many more objects to the city, performance is bound to get worse for some people. But if you are lucky, it won't!

    No new dialogue has been included in this version. No new scripts either. And I haven't touched the exterior NavMesh (which may cause some NPCs to bump into things) but this will be corrected in the next release once I have consulted closely with more veteran modders regarding the consequences of such edits!!!

    I'm HUGE fan of dwemers myself.

    I've been working really slow, taking months off sometimes, which is why the thread is old but the mod is not finished. :P

     

    I won't use any DLC-assets for this mod. That would severely limit the audience + that I don't feel like spending more money on games!!!

    ---(Before I say anything else, YES I will try to make this mod as lore friendly as possible. And NO, it will not be entirely lore friendly. Most people can hopefully overlook this, but if you are a die-hard lore fan, just see this as a nostalgic adventure.. just for fun!!)---

     

    This mod allows you to travel through a portal in the reach, and find yourself in the ruins of Sotha Sil\'s Clockwork City.

     

    For those of you who played Tribunal, I can happily announce that I have recreated every area of the original Clockwork City. And for those who seek new adventures, I can happily announce that I have added several completely new areas.

     

    You will get to re-fight the famous bosses present in Tribunal, and perhaps meet some new ones as well? While most of the City will remain as it was in the original game, there will at some point, though, be a dramatic turn of events that leads you to never-before-seen areas!

    Description

    Rumors of a disastrous mining operation are spreading like the wind across Skyrim. When you decide to investigate, along with a foul-mouthed dunmer mercenary, you discover a forgotten dwemer ruin whose previous inhabitants dug too deep into the earth....

    This mod will, like my previous dungeon mods, feature an immensely large dungeon with unique and cool scenery + a quest to bring you there. This adventure will bring you deeper below the surface of Tamriel than you've ever been before. What terrible secret did the Dwemer uncover there? What dark power is it that lies dormant in the deepest dungeon of the Depths of Tamriel? That is up to you to find out!

    This mod will take plenty of subtle inspiration from Morrowind! For an example, there will be some contents related to the Dwemer, much in the form of theories. You may or may not get the opportunity to speak with a Dwemer spectre as well! Aside from that, I have spent some time developing an entirely new enemy faction, complete with different ranks, lore and books, which you will encounter. The Depths of Tamriel will give you breathtaking visuals, challenging battles, deadly traps and moments of complete horror!!! I will also leave plenty of books, notes and journals lying around for those who want to read a bit more, and hopefully this will build up the tension and make you feel really excited when you finally reach your end destination and get to meet the bad guy!

    This time around, I will put lots of effort in making sure that player actually descends. The further in you go, the deeper down you will get. I also make sure the vanilla tilesets do NOT restrict me. I will find a way to use the most unlikely objects to create the most awesome visual style! You can expect anything from enormous mining shafts and steamy dwemer cities to immense caverns and a lost civilization! I'm aiming for somewhere around 50 cells, like my previous dungeons. This will literally dwarf Blackreach into a tiny hole.

    A very important change this time around, is that I will make everything fully voiced. This will allow the mod to be more than just a dungeon. It will be a real quest adventure!
