  1. Hi guys, Wow it's been a long time since I've posted anything in the Skyrim boards! Unfortunately I need your help with a problem which is driving me nuts. I stopped playing Fallout 4 for a while and thought it would be nice to return to skyrim however with the game being a few years old, and me being a sucker for graphics, I need an ENB to be able to play this game. However the game keeps on crashing. Ive looked everywhere, youtube, enb boards, nexus, but nothing seems to point me in the right direction. I'm playing the "original" skyrim so not SE and I'm playing on a windows 10 laptop. And yes I recently got a new laptop which allows me to play everything on ultra so it's not because my laptop is not high end enough. Something in me tells me that I'm not doing something right and this problem should have been solved by now, nowing that some topics about this problem date back to 2015. Anyone have an idea of how to get this to work? EDIT: I just removed Skyrim completely since it kept on crashing even without enb being installed. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make a proper clean installation, let me know guys, would be great!
  2. Heya guys! I used to play skyrim with ENB last year, however I mostly turned it off and only used it for taking screenshots and it used to run "fine". But now I had to re-install skyrim some time ago after formatting my laptop and ever since my game slows down massively even when I disable the shaders. I notice that when I delete the d3d9.dll my game goes back to normal again but then of course the ENB doesn't work anymore. I tried several different settings [original ENB, cinematic ENB, hyper realistic] and they all seem to slow down my game. Now of course I am not an idiot and of course I know the FPS drops massively when I enable the file however the problem occurs as well when I disable the ENB ingame by pressing shift[or whatever button]+F12. My game then runs a little bit smoother but the FPS drop is still very bad. Is there some kind of fix for this? I don't really want to play with the shaders but it would be nice to take screenshots every now and then with shaders however they seem to slow my game down massively, disabled or not. Please help :)?

  4. Heya guys! I'm working on a new mod right now that features new interior meshes. So far I managed to export everything correctly so that everything works in the GECK. But on testing the interior mesh ingame I stumbled upon a weird bug, THe mesh seems to have a collision mesh but my character still falls through the floor when I tries to walk through the interior. Here's a screenshot of the mesh in nifskope; screenshot As you can see there is a collision mesh still im unable to walk....how do I solve this?
  5. I actually decided to leave this topic alone but since I recently got NV i would really like to get into this again. I just did some test rounds in the editor and it seems like everything is working, at least I am able to change the head mesh the way I want. The only thing that I noticed, and what I noticed ingame as well is that the face mesh reacts differently to the sliders than the eyes and teeth do. The face mesh seems to be reacting a lot less to the sliders than the eyes do. Which causes the eyes to dramatically change as well instead of changing along with the head. So the sliders do work, only not the way they are supposed to. How do I freeze/apply the transforms exactly? It seems to be something I didn't do, or at least I am not aware of? Btw I also tried to rescale the head mesh in max so it fits the vanilla head better but I had no luck since. I also read about the Facegen update in the editor, I know where it is it only didn't really seemed to make any difference to the head file. I'm so lost here lol. I would love to have this new face working so I can have npc's can also use it...
  6. I stumbled upon this thread wile trying to figure out the same thing. I've been trying to get the tri file to work as well and so far it seems to work ingame. However the amount the sliders actually deform the head ingame is almost nothing. Some sliders do seem to affect it a little, for example the "face width" slider does seem to affect the face but you can barely see it. Besides that some of the sliders seem to affect wrong parts of the head. For example when I move the nose slider it affects the mouth. My head is a new head mesh and the locations of the eyes, mouth and nose shouldn't be to different from the vanilla meshes. So I was wondering is there a way to set the "sensitivity" or whatever you want to call it of the sliders in the tri file? I tried messing around with the falloff in the conformulator but so far I haven't had any luck. However it does seem to work, only not in the correct way. Or is there another way to create tri files without the conformulator? I was thinking about facegen for example?
  7. Heya guys, I just started playing dragonage but I'm having some gameplay trouble. Idk where else to post this so here it goes; I'm playing an elf and remember from the "tutorial" that once you get close to a creature you automatically draw your weapons and combat mode starts. The thing is that I changed his looks with the toolkit and ever since I did that the combat mode is kinda strange. For example when you decide to attack your oponent there's this "attack" sign which usually apears next to your character icon. And If you are playing two characters and you have to fight two creatures one of them will automatically attack one of these creatures as well. Now somehow after I changed the face this doesn't happen anymore. Like there's no action sign next to my icon anymore [screenshot, note the attacking word next to the icons], and they just stand still when they run into some creature, my character doesn't even draw it's weapons. When I right click on the creature it only slashes once...is this normal and am I just going crazy?
  8. haha sorry I tried to keep it as easy as possible just in case you didn't knew anything about animation at all...I dont know anything about maya, I usually work in max so I can imagine that animating in blender is realy confusing. That's what I thought in the beginning as well...if you are used to software like maya or max it's not that hard to see why you can dl blender for free. It drove me nuts in the beginning...
  9. It's kinda simple, If you are able to follow that tutorial you are also able to make new animations. The hard part is to make nice animations but the technical part is easy. What you have to do is make a start pose first, once your done select the skeleton and press "loctrot" as Backsteppo describes in his tutorial. If you use his blender file [link on top of the tutorial page] you'll see that the upper windows and the lower right one show you the model. However the lower left one shows yellow dots which is the animation track. Once you made your starting pose move the slider in the track window to let's say 100 and make another pose. Important is not to move the slider again untill the pose is finished, otherwise you'll lose the pose, but you'll figure that out by yourself once you make that mistake. When the pose is finished put another locrot on it and you'll see that a new vertical line of yellow dots will appear in the track window. Now when you move the slider back to frame 0, click on for example the perspective/user view window and press alt+a you'll see that you've made your first aniamtion. If you want to learn more about making animations I suggest you find some random tutorials on the net. Animating can be confusing if you've never done it before. Custom animation is HARD...the technical part is peice of cake but making a nice professional looking animation can be quite a challenge...
  10. Heya guys, today I've been working on some custom hair for Fallout 3. So far the mesh and textures are done but I'm kinda stuck. I don't know how to get it ingame? I know how to do all the editor stuff but I don't know how to do the nif part. I knew a realy easy way on how to do it for oblivion but it won't be conformulated and rigged etc. which means that I can't port it to fallout that way. So I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this? Since I can't find a proper tutorial or whatsoever? THanks :)!
  11. Heya guys I'm working on some animation tests and I finally got it working ingame. I finally found out how to make animations, yay. But now the thing is that every time when I make an animation for my character it plays fine ingame but when it finishes I get an ctd. So I was wondering if someone could test the animation for me? The animation doesn't make any sence it's just an test but I was wondering if someone could check it out? I think I mustave done something wrong in nifskope or something is missing?   12. Is there anyone who successfully made a custom animation in either blender or max? I'm trying to find out how this works for months but so far I still haven't figured out how to do this. Is there anyone who can either point me in the right direction or help me out. I know how to make animations, I just don't know how to export them to make them work ingame. I know it will probably be a lot of explaining but I'm a modeller and I've worked with animations before, only never for games. So I know the basics, about moving bones and setting keyframes. I work with 3d max so working in blender is sometimes realy confusing. I know how to make poses for fallout 3 in blender, I only don't know how to make custom animations. I tried to animate the skeleton the same way you make poses. I made a pose in frame one and set a locrot then moved to frame 100, moved the bones again and set a locrot on frame 100. This makes the bones move between frame 0 and 100, however I don't know if this is the way to make animations in blender. If so I still haven't found out how to export them. I tried to do it the way backsteppo described in his pose tutorial but it doesn't work ingame. Please help...im near comitting suicide lol

It's basically about people in general, you can age but you will always remain the same person. I made the picture in such a way that she isn't looking at you, otherwise it would just be a granny posing in a weird outfit. By letting her put on the make up, combined with the lipstick writings on the mirror leaves you room for interpretation. It makes you question youself, why she's wearing that outfit, and who wrote the text on the mirror and when.
  15. I think that we will never have a perfect world, the human race is not build to be perfect. The same for every animal in the world, life is based on survival of the fittest. Luckely we evolved into people with feeling and we don't bash eachothers brains anymore with wooden clubs [err well most of us don't]. But there will always be people who want to rule over other people, it's all about power and ego's. So we will never have a perfect world because there will always be people who think about the needs of themselves. Which means that we can never have a perfect world if people only live in their own world. But sometimes I wonder, wouldn't we go crazy in a world where everything is perfect? If everything is perfect and there's nothing wrong. I think that would be a realy boring world. I don't mean that your bow is weak but I just feal more secure with my own weapons in a battle than other weapons. In my homeland most of the weapons are custom made by the owner, it's not likely that we buy weapons in the stores. Your bow seems very powerfull, have you made it yourself?"

I will only fight when it's necesairy, when others attack me. Please remember that the guards probably didn't knew that it was her and that they also have wifes and children which they tried to protect. Just like the rest of the village. If you kill them you will destroy many families. And I think that one is already to much. But I can understand your anger. Your an good person." Rio'th stops and orders something to drink for the ranger and Gelderon. Then he turns to the dark ranger; "but you haven't realy told us, well at least not me, where you come from and who you are. You've got an nice bow there...Like Gelderon said, are you an vampire hunter?"
  23. Rio'th listens to Gelderon and knows that he shouldn't have asked about the ring. "I'm...srry I din't knew, I'm srry to hear that..." he says when Gelderon is finished. Rio'th looks down and knows that it's better not to speak further about this subject. He slowly turns back and looks at the dark elf which just arrived...
  24. Rio'th turns back to Gelderon and notices the ring; "....I've just arrived here two weeks ago in Morrowind. Before that I have been travelling arround in my homeland but I wanted to explore something new. I'm born in Searamun and raised in a small family. All my life I thought that there had to be more than my normal boring life so I decided to travel arround searching for some adventure. That's why I left my homeland...I'm travelling from city to city, sometimes I stay a few days there and try to earn some money..." He opens his coat and takes out one of his Shii'n disks. The disk has an golden color with engravings in it. The large dark stone in the middle is surrounded by eight holes which are used to activate and hold the disk in his hands. Rio'th puts his figers in the holes and the stone starts to glow. "Shii'n disks are very common in Searamun. They are very powerfull weapons and it takes some great skill to controll them. My people are already being trained in the Shii'n fighting style when they are very young. It's for their own protection..." Rio'th sees that his disk is drawing to much attention and decide to put his disk away. Then he looks at Gelderon's finger.
