Help: Game Suddenly Struggling with fps
williaal2 replied to kickle's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
you need to provide mod list. also if this is your first time modding fallout 4, might i suggest googling a guide, and looking at how they set up fallout 4, and bash and patch it. -

I suspect it will be the animerace causing issues. Though startmeup I've also found to be buggy. I suggest you remove 17,18 and 103 along with any associated mods and see whether you ctd. -
ive had something similar that i hopefully knock on wood have solved. it seemed to be linked to the frame rate, and the fact that id just upgraded to a laptop with a 120hz monitor. I had to change the ipresentinterval to 2.

I'd look at several guides look at how they prepare the game for modding, watch guides on how the utilities such as wyrebash etc are used etc. Personally rather than slavishly following one particular guide, only to be disappointed as it ctds because a mod has updated since the guide was made, or installation error etc. I would decide on what you want out of Skyrim sse, and initially pick 30--40 mods to make this happen, reading guides and individual mod pages will give you an idea of which mods are going to be compatible.

Install skyrim se, mod for next 3 hours, play for an hour everything going great. Arrive in riverwood after reporting the dragon to the jarl. Greeted by the sight of a squad of mostly naked white run guards running through the village. Facepalm!

Please post a mod list. Have you used loot?
-
You probably need to post your mod list.

Oh wow, just looked up the laptop. A Pentium n3700, congrats for getting skyrim to run, but an I series processor is the minimum for sse. For a few hundred quid you can get an i5 laptop with 8g ram that should be a lot better at running the original skyrim. But for sse a gaming laptop is a must, if your going portable.
-
Seriously? You need at least 8gb ram and a dedicated graphics card for sse. And probably a better cpu as well. Sadly there is no way around that.

From what I understand there is no crash report for skyrim se, there is papyrus logging which will indicate scripts that are being run, but it is very unlikely to give you a clue as to the cause of the ctds. Given your 270mods it is unlikely due to just 1 or 2 issues. For papyrus logging I suggest googling it and how to enable it.

I would suggest looking up some of modding guides on the nexus, since they are good at explaining not just the order to mod the game but how to patch and bash the game into some kind of stable running order.
-
Do you use wyre bash? It is not as simple as installing in the same priority order as the streamer
-
Too many mods to start modding se with! Have you modded the original before this? I'd suggest looking at the various modding guides on the nexus, most using mod org 2, although some cover vortex. Learn how to bash and smash those mods, load order etc. And start with fewer mods, I get a good looking playable skyrim with less than 80 mods.

If your planning to use vortex https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20289/?tab=posts There is also a Nordic guide for mod org 2, just look it up on nexus under Nordic.

Latest update to xpmse I think has sorted my crash out.

Are you using wyrebash, sedit and loot? its more likely to be caused by scripts etc. Than running out of ram or vram. I’d look up guides on modding, preparing and patching the game.
