  1. It might be worth it if enough % of modders participating legitimately benefit from it (monetarily), whether we, non-modders like it will be of no consequence.
  2. When you launch the game normally , the launcher resets plugins.txt file and stops your mod esps from launching. One work around is to make plugins.txt read-only after you have activated your mods. The other, and one that i use, is to rename fallout4launcher.exe to something like fallout4launcher2.exe (as backup) and then rename fallout4.exe to fallout4launcher.exe (this is file you will launch game from), this has no downsides afaik, it will bypass launcher and your plugins.txt won't be reset and mods will work.
  3. that point isn't to prevent game from being pirated. The point was to prevent game from being pirated/leaked before the release (maybe a week earlier), because a lot of stores receive game way way before the actual release date.
  4. use this http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2516/?
  5. If you don't want to put plugins.txt read only all the time, rename fallout4launcher to anythng, and rename fallout4.exe to fallout4launcher.exe, then game will start without launcher and your plugins.txt won't be reset. Doing this causes no issues (probably need to change back before updating game or maybe not) and steam overlay, achievements work.
  6. And you are sure all of that is necessary? If you add covert op 8 times it will be insufficient and get detected? ^^
  7. you guys totally didn't use tgm/mod to build, lel. My settlements have 3-5 turrets max, no more is needed. I'm level 70 on survival and never was i like "hmm maybe i could use couple more turrets. It's just i understand how the system works, a lot of people just give bethesda too much credit. They think settlers have some complicated AI, care about how comfy beds are, how loud generators are and how well you decorate - they don't care. And if you ignore settlement attack, the attackers don't destroy your defenses - there are no attackers, the attackers spawn when you arrive, they don't exist otherwise. The game destroys your defenses and resources automatically, that's how it works. I don't think there's even an attack that requires 100 defense... Your numbers are skewed by umm.. cheating, to put it bluntly.
  8. If you want a good PC port. You have to wait at least 2 years extra. It may also cost more. How peachy does that sounds to you? It really doesn't take that long to make a good port. You are probably thinking about GTA V - and if it took that long, that means that's how long it takes! But no, it doesn't really.
  9. throw mines. Literally there are so many ways you can deal with them. I play on survival i never felt they are too strong.
  10. They will totally kidnap a settler on guard duty in power armor and minigun, its really stupid.
  11. If you miss vats, both shots miss, if you hit vats both will hit.
  12. It could be at the same level range and rarity as gauss rifle or rarer.
  13. Youre incorrect. And funny that you say " ditch it" since me and many other people build up and defend ALL settlements. They simply spawn inside whether you have a wall or you dont have a wall. Bethesda just bad at programming, hopefully they are inside because they spawned inside the final waypoint instead of having it as an actual spawn point though. Gotta experiment by running to attacked settlement instead of fast traveling. While I'm not 100% sure, I think that's not how it works. When you get message that settlement is under attack it doesn't mean that game is calculating an actual attack in the background, nothing is attacking anything. Youre given timer (based on game time) to get to that settlement or fast travel to it, if you fail you will simply have predetermined consequences like all turrets/water pumps destroyed or what not. Some settlements i have get usually attacked from outside of walls and i have failed that settlement once, then reloaded right before fail and fast traveled to it - the fight was just starting and enemies were once again outside the walls. So, enemies only get spawned when player arrives to the cell of that settlement. People often give bethesda too much credit on how well things are fleshed out/programmed, it's really not.
