  1. I have been working on my own fairly simple quest, just to prove to myself that I can do it before I move onto anything more difficult, however I have run into a problem: The quest starts properly and the objectives assign, but even though I have set which aliases are the quest targets, the game does not point arrows to them in game when I get the quest. This makes the quest impossible, as it selects a dungeon using the radiant system, so if I don't know which one it is I can't actually do the quest. All it is doing is looking for a Draugr Crypt with a boss, and then placing an item on said boss that has to be returned to the questgiver. The target for the quest is the Draugr Boss who should be carrying the item to be collected. The other problem is that even if I advance the quest with the console I don't get an arrow to appear on the questgiver either, which is also a problem. The questgiver is a character I added to the game myself if that matters. I even tried changing the quest so it applies exclusively to one dungeon and doesn't use the radiant system at all... but the markers still don't appear. I really hope that someone can help with this (On a completely unrelated note ticking the force subtitles box on my modded character's dialogue doesn't actually make subtitles appear unless I turn them on manually, which means something is wrong or I don't understand how to use it, and it doesn't seem complicated; just tick the box on every line that needs it...)
  2. Possibly a stupid question, but if you move the lid off the coffin in the CK do you see the blue actor lying down inside it? This is the only thing I can think of that isn't covered in the screenshots and the text... not that I'm an expert or anything.
  3. This is for the CK Also ty to whomever said changing my resolution (multiple people i think) because it worked  It DOES work, but only if you have a monitor that supports higher resolutions. Mine only goes up to 1366x768, which is not big enough to see the whole screen in the CK. I really hope that Beth does something about this, as it means I can only use the CK when I borrow a bigger monitor, since tabbing isn't really practical.
  4. I have also been having this incredibly annoying problem. In the maximum resolution my monitor supports (1366x678) it's not possible to click on ok. Tabbing does work, but can make it night on impossible to use some parts of the CK. I ended up having to borrow a larger monitor just to mod Skyrim...
  5. To be honest I doubt that this is even possible, but I thought I'd post something here to get some feedback. I personally am not capable of making this mod at the moment, but I might give it a go when the CK is released. I have one major gripe with Skyrim, and that is how cluttered your save files can get. Every file you make on every chatacter just gets dumped into one folder, in the order that you made them, but why does it have to be like this when it is such a confusing and annoying system? Plenty of games use a system where each character you make has their own folder for save files, so you first choose which character to load a save from, and then it only lists that characters' saves. Since they are in different locations each character's save numbers can start from 1, which makes it much easer to keep everything organised, and to delete all the old saves from each of your characters without having to check every single file to find which ones are your newest for each character. I would love it if such a system could be implimented. tl;dr: I want save files to be stored by character, like Dragon Age and a few other games did, in Skyrim.
  6. I like it. An interesting (South African?) accent, which adds something to the book. A few pronnciations sound a bit off, but I'm sure that you can sort that out. It is a solid reading, although it sounds like you weren't terribly confident. I'm sure this will improve with time, and you picked a very long book, so I can understand this. Sorry, if this sounds overly critical; I'm not trying to. Good luck with future recordings.
  7. Here we go. I thought I'd post this separately just so people actually notice it. I mean, who is going to trawl back to the previous page? I read the whole of the book "Wabbajack" which I mentioned in my last post, since I enjoyed reading it in game so much. Again the quality isn't the best it could be, and if you are serious about taking me on then I will get hold of a better mic somehow. I deliberately intended it to sound a bit like I was about to laugh, but I can understand if that's not how you want it to be read. Wow... just wow. I really really liked that. We need your voice for all our anti Empire/Thalmor/Non-nord Propaganda right now! I really am not trying to sound overly critical, and I feel that all of my criticism is constructive, but I have to admit that some parts of your performance were less outstanding than others, especially the beginning. If you could be as consistently awesome as some parts were then you would be outperforming pretty much everyone who did the actual voice acting.
  8. Response to Bero's Speech sample: I saw this thread, liked what I saw and recorded something. It's not very good, as I didnt mess around with fancy effects etc, and it could do with some changes, and I'm not entirely happy about it. I thought I'd upload something just to see if my voice causes physical pain or not, and not as a finished product. If you're at all interested please let me know. (Apologies if anyone else in the thread chose this one for their sample and I didn't notice. I had a quick look, but I may not have noticed.) EDIT: I've done another couple of sample which have come out a bit better. My own opinion is that the microphone I'm using is just about adequate, possibly better with the right effects, but if you're interested in using me then I will definitely get hold of a better one. This is definitely something I'd love to be involved with. EDIT 2: Books I'd like to read if nobody has any objections: (sorry if someone else has already asked to do these and I haven't spotted that in the thread. Ignore me in this case.) I'd quite like to read the collection of books you get rewarded with for one of the College quests: (assuming you still have ears left after hearing my sample, although I doubt it's THAT bad) Daughter of the Niben Response to Bero's Speech Catalogue of Weapon Enchantments Doors of Oblivion (Someone else has done a partial?/recording of this one, but I could do it for consistency. I don't mind either way) The Horror of Castle Xyr (This one is a playscript. I could do the introduction and scene narrations and let other people do the voices, or I could just do the whole thing if that's easier. I might even be able to find other people I know to do other parts...) 2920 Hearthfire, v9 (Part of a series, so not a great idea really. Just putting it out there.) Enchanter's Primer The Black Arts on Trial Incident at Necrom Withershins Racial Phylogeny Wabbajack (completely unrelated to the others. I just really like it.)
  9. I really hope that you can pull this off. I do not have the skills to do much in the way of practical help, but I'd love to do something. Voice acting is the only thing I can do from your list, so if you want me then let me know. I'm a brit and sound like one, so I hope that doesn't disadvantage me what with most Eragon fans being American. (To be fair they used british accents in the film, but we don't talk about the film...) If anyone wants to know what I sound like, here is a sample I did for the Skyrim Audio Books mod. It's not at all relevant, but you can at least hear my voice: There are at least some British sounding characters/races in Inheritance aren't there? Although I suppose it comes down mostly to fan interpretation, since we-don't-talk-about-the-film...
