  1. Did a bit of looking around and I'm wondering if I can replace CBBE with these: Enhanced Vanilla Bodies (Male and Female) Replacement body textures for EVB(?) Additional Body Textures - Ghouls and more for CBBE and EVB ...This way I shouldn't have to worry about issues stemming from CBBE (in)compatibility? Regarding any mods that use the vanilla body for armor and or clothing.
  2. I have never made a mod for a Bethesda game before. I am looking to use armor mods found on the nexus to replace vanilla armors. Is there a tutorial someone could point me to?
  3. Are you sure? It's a rather lengthy list, but I'll leave the pastebin link below anyway. One more thing to note, feel free to ignore the name and variant options as you wish - it was a foolish afterthought on my part. https://pastebin.com/M2u6c9CY
  4. Specifically, where? I've seen a lot of tutorials on FO4Edit but nothing that specially covers what I'm trying to do in detail.
  5. So I'm looking to create a creature replacement mod of my own as I am not satisfied with what's available on the Nexus. I know there's a mod called 'BugOut' that edits the leveled lists to remove 99.9% of unwanted spawns (other then hand placed ones). I was wondering if it was easy to do something like this on my own. I have never modded or scripted before so I could use some help.
  6. Working on a mod list (or what have you) currently as a personal side project. However the one thing I'm missing is being able to remove all friendly NPCs from the Commonwealth, and also to remove all robotic NPCs, Synths included. Of course, while I'd be extra grateful I someone was able to fulfill the request, I am also realistically expecting that not to happen. As such, I have the necessary tools to carry this out as long as someone does not mind being patient and walking me through it. I look forward to and appreciate any feedback!
  7. I've been wanting to create a replacement mod of my own and after stumbling upon the Zombie Walkers mod by joefor, I think I finally found out how I would like to approach it. He uses a scripted approach which claims to be the most stable and least conflict likely, so that is exactly what I am setting out to do with my mod. I have already mapped out all the specifics, the only thing left is creating the actual mod myself. Now, I have zero experience in modding and have no idea of where to begin or what to do. I have tried helping myself by looking for tutorials and the like, but I have had zero success in the matter. I am humbly asking if I could get some step by step guidance on what I am trying to do so that I can see this project through myself. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could step forward and lend me a hand.
  8. Nevermind, I can't edit the title. Mods, please remove this thread so I can post an updated, correct one.
  9. I have a honest confession: I have crippling fear of arthropods (Insects, arachnids, crustaceans, ect.) . This makes games like Fallout very hard to approach. Currently, I'm skating around the problem by using the Zombie Walkers mod by joefor. While it does the job well, It does suck a lot of life out of the game when it's narrowed down to four enemy variants (Ferals, Humans, Super Mutants, and Robots). While I currently (and probably never will) do not have the time to create a solution myself, I decided it couldn't hurt to ask if someone could create a replacement mod for me to spice up the variety in the game. Note: My primary concern are the model replacement and stats. If you should have trouble getting the replaced creature to have proper loot or what have you, then skip over it. Additional notes that regard re-skins are completely optional and not required. The same goes for a 'fail-safe' version of a creature should something break. Thank you for your time. I mapped out the replacements in a rather lengthy list below: Radroaches (Replaced by Rad-Rats) Radroach: Replaced by Standard Rad-Rat Name: Rad-Rat Stats: Same as vanilla Radroach Loot: Same as vanilla Radroach Glowing Radroach: Replaced by Infected Rad-Rat Name: Infected Rad-Rat Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Radroach Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Radroach (Note: If you want to make these guys glow green so they fit the name better it is up to you.) Optional.) Bloodbug Hatchling: Replaced by Pink Feral Ghoul Name: Blood-Starved Young Feral Ghoul Stats: Same as vanilla Bloodbug Hatchling Loot: Same as vanilla Bloodbug Hatchling Bloodbug: Replaced by Withered Feral Ghoul Name: Blood-Starved Feral Ghoul Stats: Same as vanilla Bloodbug Loot: Same as vanilla Bloodbug Red Widow Bloodbug: Replaced by Withered Feral Ghoul Name: Bloodletting Feral Ghoul Stats: Same as vanilla Red Widow Bloodbug Loot: Same as vanilla Red Widow Bloodbug (Note: It would be cool to give this variant a slightly more reddish skin. Optional.) Radscorpion Stalker: Replaced by standard Mole Rat Name: Invading Stalking Mole Rat Stats: Same as vanilla Radscorpion Stalker Loot: Same as vanilla Radscorpion Stalker Radscorpion Predator: Replaced by standard Mole Rat Name: Invading Predatory Mole Rat Stats: Same as vanilla Radscorpion Predato Loot: Same as vanilla Radscorpion Predato Deathskull Radscorpion: Replaced by Mole Rat Broodmother Name: Invading Brooding Mole Rat Stats: Same as vanilla Deathskull Radscorpion Loot: Same as vanilla Deathskull Radscorpion =================================================================== Stingwings (Replaced by Wolves) (Note: These guys should apply poison effect on hits.) Stingwing: Replaced by Feral Wolf Name: Plagued Feral Wolf Stats: Same as vanilla Stingwing Loot: Same as vanilla Stingwing Stingwing Darter: Replaced by Rabid Wolf Name: Plagued Rabid Wolf Stats: Same as vanilla Stingwing Darter Loot: Same as vanilla Stingwing Darter Stingwing Skimmer: Replaced by Vicious Wolf Name: Plagued Vicious Wolf Stats: Same as vanilla Stingwing Skimmer Loot: Same as vanilla Stingwing Skimmer Glowing Stingwing: Replaced by Glowing Wolf Name: Plagued Glowing Wolf Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Stingwing Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Stingwing Stingwing Chaser: Replaced by Grey Wolf Name: Plagued Grey Wolf Stats: Same as vanilla Stingwing Chaser Loot: Same as vanilla Stingwing Chaser =================================================================== Mirelurks (Replaced by Gulpers and Anglers) (Note: I don't think it's even possible to replace the Mirelurk Hatchlings - It's fine to leave those guys alone. Do not replace Mirelurk Kings.) Softshell Mirelurk: Replaced by Young Gulper Name: Young Gulper Stats: Same as vanilla Softshell Mirelurk Loot: Same as vanilla Softshell Mirelurk Mirelurk: Replaced by standard Gulper Name: Gulper Stats: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Loot: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Mirelurk Razorclaw: Replaced by standard Gulper Name: Gulper Razorfang Stats: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Razorclaw Loot: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Razorclaw Glowing Mirelurk: Replaced by Glowing Gulper Name: Glowing Gulper Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Nukalurk: Replaced by Glowing Gulper Name: Nuka Gulper Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk (Note making these ones glow blue instead of green would be great! Optional.) Bloodrage Mirelurk: Replaced by Gulper Devourer Name: Bloodrage Gulper Stats: Same as vanilla Bloodrage Mirelurk Loot: Same as vanilla Bloodrage Mirelurk Mirelurk Hunter: Replaced by standard Angler Name: Angler Stats: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Hunter Loot: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Hunter Glowing Mirelurk Hunter: Nukalurk Hunter: Replaced by Glowing Angler Name: Glowing Angler Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Hunter Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Hunter Albino Mirelurk Hunter: Replaced by Albino Angler Name: Albino Angler Stats: Same as vanilla Albino Mirelurk Hunter Loot: Same as vanilla Albino Mirelurk Hunter Nukalurk Hunter: Replaced by Glowing Angler Name: Nuka Angler Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Hunter Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Mirelurk Hunter (Again, blue glow - but only if you want to!) Mirelurk Queen: Replaced by Venomous Angler Name: Royal Angler Stats: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Queen Loot: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Queen (Note: The reason I chose these guys is because they too, have a animation of them hiding and popping out of the water that would work very well for a Mirelurk Queen replacement. No weird issue of them sticking out of the water while they are 'hidden'. Hopefully.) Nukalurk Queen: Replaced by Glowing Angler Name: Royal Nuka Angler Stats: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Queen Loot: Same as vanilla Mirelurk Queen (As always, the optional option of making this version glow blue is there.) =================================================================== Fog Cralwers (Replaced by Gatorclaws) (Note: This also should be applied to the unique named Fog Cralwer, Shipbreaker.) Fog Crawler: Replaced by Standard Gatorclaw Name: Gatorclaw Stats: Same as vanilla Fog Crawler Loot: Same as vanilla Fog Crawler Ghostly Fog Crawler: Replaced by Albino Gatorclaw Name: Ghastly Gatorclaw Stats: Same as vanilla Ghostly Fog Crawler Loot: Same as vanilla Ghostly Fog Crawler Glowing Fog Crawler: Replaced by Standard Gatorclaw Name: Glowing Gatorclaw Stats: Same as vanilla Glowing Fog Crawler Loot: Same as vanilla Glowing Fog Crawler (Make this one glow if you can - optional.) Skulking Fog Cralwer: Replaced by standard Gatorclaw Name: Skulking Gatorclaw Stats: Same as vanilla Skulking Fog Crawler Loot: Same as vanilla Skukling Fog Crawler Pale Fog Crawler: Replaced by Albino Gatorclaw Name: Pale Gatorclaw Stats: Same as vanilla Pale Fog Crawler Loot: Same as vanilla Pale Fog Crawler Enraged Fog Cralwer: Replaced by standard Gatorclaw Name: Enraged Gatorclaw Stats: Same as vanilla Enraged Fog Crawler Loot: Same as vanilla Enraged Fog Crawler =================================================================== Hermit Crabs (Replaced by Super Mutant Behemoths) (Note: This should aslo remove the hatchlings as well - if it doesn't, I would hope there is a way to make it work.) 10. hit me up on steam and I might be able to help you out http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198009616258/ Will do.
  11. It would be more free play sandbox then anything else. Honestly, all I'm looking to do is how replace creatures/npcs with something else. The hard part about that is no tutorials on that kind of topic seem to exist after my long search.
  12. Right. But like I said, I've tested both and neither work. Creatures to NPCs is not a 100% replacement and do not remove mantises. Zombie World does not seem to work at all.
  13. I know that there are mods like these out on the Nexus but after testing; none of them work properly. I don't have any knowledge of the geck nor can I find clear tutorials on how to do this. So if anyone could create a mod that replaces all creatures with ghouls and/or another that replaces them with raiders/fiends I'd be very grateful!
  14. Like I said, I'm looking on to replace creatures and npcs with something else (I just have no idea how to do it, haha). If you want to start with factions I can discuss that over a PM or whichever method of comunication you prefer.
  15. You are more then welcome to! Right now I'm tackling just the basic stuff - replacing and editing vanilla creatures and NPCs, specifically.
  16. I spent a lot of time on the Nexus and all the content I gathered got me inspired to make a mod of my own. Despite this, I have never tried modding but I'm willing to learn and start small. Incoming text dump: About 'What-if' timeline that explores the idea of a land (possibly the Mojave) being a raging war zone over clashing powers for many years during the Cold War period. The eventual emergence of the Sovereign led to them using armory that caused mass destruction turning the area into a brutal wasteland. They currently reign supreme and maintain control through a military/tyrannical rule, and seek total world domination. Player character is a special agent sent by an organization to combat the threat. Inspiration pulled from Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and 80s style retro-futuristic films. Features -Edited vanilla worldspace (Possibly rename of vanilla locations/cells) -New location(s) (?) -Class system with specific perks -Possible quests/notes that explains the lore (eg, Backstories of each faction) -New weapons -New armor -New factions/enemies -Cybernetic implants -New fast travel system where player can only travel from pre-definied points (eg, 'Fast Travel Stations') -Wasteland Defense system: Capture outposts, recruit milita, upgrade and manage troops and fortify controllled locations Factions Survivors: Survivors are the splintered remains of society. After the initial catastrophe, many of them set out en mass to migrate to the secluded parts of the land or underground. Those that survived the journey quickly forged establishments from whatever they could find from the surrounding area. Praying that their new homes will keep them free from both the hazards of the wastes and the tyrannical grip of the Sovereign, survivor communities live and breath only for themselves. The trauma they have endured makes them rightfully paranoid of any outsiders that should stumble upon their territory. -Sub-Types: None Wasteland Milita (WIP): Rag tag group of survivors who refuse to deal the severe oppression brought upon by the Sovereign. Mainly composed of people who were previously industrial workers, soldiers, policemen or hunters. Rely on the use of hit-and-run guerrilla tactics to combat the Sovereign. Constantly dealing with devastating losses despite, severely out gunned and out manned. On the brink of being entirely wiped out. Mostly withdrawn from combat-related operations and gone into hiding as a result. Unorganized, need a strong and uplifting leader to command them to stand a chance, otherwise ultimately doomed. Player character faction that he/she gets to manage. -Sub-Types: Rookie, Scavenger, Trooper, Gunner, Sniper, Elite, Sergeant Looters: Thieves, convicts, ex-mercenaries, rebels and the mentally unstable, looters are treasure hunters who scavenge the wasteland. They make use of whatever they can get their hands on and roam about looking for more to steal. As they live solely for the thrill of the hunt and any spoils it may yield, they will pillage just about anything or anyone, no matter how dangerous or difficult the task may seem. Looters travel about in groups looking for unsuspecting prey, but are most often found congregated around areas such as abandoned towns or bunkers that may contain valuable gear. Not surprisingly, looter camps are also found nearby as well. -Sub-Types: Outlaw, Thug, Skirmisher, Marauder, Veteran, Chief Expeditionary (WIP): Members of a unknown military organization looking to expand. Saw wasteland as means to repurpose themselves. Uses airports as heavily defended foward operating bases (Nellis and Searchlight). Conduct patrols at camps that expand slightly outward from there. Use dated weapons and armor but have large numbers. In conflict with Sovereign troops, manage to hold current ground, but have difficulty moving further inland. -Sub-Types: Recruit, Engineer, Scout, Shocktrooper, Commando, Specialist, Captain Sovereign: Members of an established military organization armed with advanced weapons and armor, the Sovereign hold dominance among the wasteland. Having numerous bunkers which act as bases dotted across the landscape, they are said to stockpile numerous tech inside them. Their objective is to eradicate any threats that stand in the way of their total control, and any living entity that exists outside of the Sovereign are part of that threat. They are often seen as patrols keeping constant watch over their bases or as small search parties excavating locations that may contain valuable resources. -Sub-Types: Grunt, Infiltrator, Vanguard, Sentinel, Operative, Titan, Commander End text dump: Currently I'm just looking to start with replacing/editing vanilla NPCs and possibly renaming cells or locations (if the game allows it). I also have looked into a rather large of modders resources to use to make the job easier. Basically, I'm trying to gauge how difficult or easy this would be from the start. I known some of these might be difficult or impossible to achieve, but I fine with that coming in due time. Thank you for your time.
  17. Self explanitory title, but It's an Idea I had. Basically a mod that removes all npcs and replaces all creatures (expect for something like dogs or coyotes), either as a seperate or single esp. I am also very willing to learn and carry this out myself if someone wouldn't mind have the paitence to guide me.
