  1. Hello Nexus'ers. Has someone dabbled in tweaking view distance? Even with maxed out view distance flying in the Vertibird looks god awful. I'm not very proficient in recognizing the commands in the ini files to tweak it - and I dont really know how much is enough.
  2. I've been searching for a mod that alters the guards behavior when having a common enemy. Usually one bit of splash damage when fighting alongside the guards will instantly turn them towards you, and the dumbass guards wanna haul you off to jail. Its quite an immersion breaker to be arrested in the middle of defending a town against an elder dragon. Is it possible to somehow change their behaviour, to only wan't to arrest you if you damage them for a certain percantage of their health? Maybe it could be a global thing, so civilians are included.
  3. I really miss after a good sword battle that the surroundings are drenched in remains of my foes. It does not have to be overly excessive, but chopping someone up with a sword is a bloody affair. And I dont think that the environment is quite as affected as it should be. I would do it myself, but seeing I'm a graphics monkey I have no idea where to look in the code. Ultimately being able to chop off a leg or an arm would be awesome, but I dont think the models are working as they are in Fallout.
  4. Now also the right vault suit. Doh  http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test5.jpg http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test6.jpg http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test8.jpg Still need to figure out how I can remove the symmetrical pants.
  5. yeah i noticed the symmetry as well. Not sure how to avoid that - Since theres only one trouser leg in each texture file. Can you assign another file for the other leg?
  6. I tried do some re-texturing on the suit. Since its the first time i do textures for games, I thought I might as well start the test here. I tried to make the belt more gritty, to fit into the scenario that these clothes have been neglected for the better part of 200 years. Its a bit blurry, might be that I took the screenies in windowed mode and with no AA. Its just preliminary and for seeing if I was smart enough to figure out how to extract and insert new textures in the game :) http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test1.jpg http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test2.jpg http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test3.jpg http://www.n-gen.dk/stuff/fallout3/test4.jpg Now that I know how it works I can do some more serious stuff.
  7. Good ideas! I was thinking you could at least change the vault jumpsuit (re-texturing, shouldnt be a problem) and then do some pitch/audio work on the voices - but Im looking through the voice archive and for some reason Beth decided not to call its filename anything with 106 or vault like they did with all the other vault voices (stupid **** #¤"¤"!) - and theres literally thousands of voices in that archive. Ill see if I can find the specific voices when I get home from work.
