  1. The one mod that would really brighten my day would be one that got bandits, spiders, bears, large cats, and all other foes to stop attacking my horse instead of me. No matter what, I get off that horse, and everyone' s just wailing on him while I run around zapping them. It just seems a bit odd.
  2. To address these claims, in order of appearance: -Offline Mode -I have used the back up utility in steam to store each of my steam games onto either DVDs or my external hard drive, so I won't ever need to download again (should Valve/Steam ever go under). -Should I, in many years, wish to play one of these games and for some reason not be able to access steam or my own personal back-ups. there are other, less legal means of obtaining old software. I wouldn't feel to bad about it if it really was that outdated and I payed for it already. -For this last bit I'm not really sure what you're insinuating, but I've never received any advertisements in my email or anything from Steam/Valve. The whole Big Brother comparison you seem to be drawing in this post and one of your prior posts doesn't really make sense to me. A mild, and most certainly the most convenient form of DRM does not a Orwellian dystopia make.
  3. I can agree with that sentiment. I'm glad they chose steamworks over Games for Windows Live, that was a travesty in Fallout 3.
  4. Did you even bother looking for the files before assuming mods were dead forever? Go to program files/steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim. Boom. Same file and folder structure we've had since Morrowind. Sorry if I came off harshly, but Steam is a great platform; allowing for communication, easy updates, reliable backup, and etc. I bought another copy of Oblivion off of steam just so I wouldn't have to deal with discs anymore, and all my (200+) mods worked fine, or at least as well as they did without Steam. Edit: I made this account just to say this, btw. Steam fo' life!
