I personally haven't contacted the maker of the fps limiter mod but I guess it's the best idea at the moment since I've yet to find a workaround for us optimus users. Annyways I did however find a way to lower my temperatures by 7 degrees. It's all in the power options, first click on your battery icon then "more power options". Select "change plan settings" for the "balanced" profile. From there choose "Change advanced power settings". In the new window that opens up expand "processor power management" and then expand "maximum processor state". Change both the "on battery" and "plugged in" options from 100% to 99%. This worked for me, basically by setting it at 99% your processor will never run at full speed on this setting, you'll take a slight fps hit - for me it was around 2 fps but my temps are much cooler. I'd still like to find an alternative so I can just limit the fps and play Skyrim without melting my laptop.
