Alright guys, btw hello!(first time is these forums)....I been playing Skyrim too and I ran into this exact issue...that is- the hitting the play button and then the launcher just reappears. What I do to solve this problem is put in the Skyrim Disc and hit the re-install button. It takes literally 2 minutes to re-install on my machine.Steam will make you re-download the patch. I download at about 768kbps and it finished in 5 minutes. Hope this helps you guys out and just knowthat this play button bug has been happening to me since 2 weeks ago and has occurred about 3 times. So not too big of a deal though i wish thisbug would get patched already. What your doing is basically the same thing as described earlier in this topic. Both ways verify the gamefiles and repair if something is out of whack. I just ran into this issue myself and simply verifying the gamefiles solved the problem...and guess what: the second it was done, steam started downloading the patch, eventhough i turned that OFF.

Since we now have standard mannequins (still quite ugly ones) weaponracks and displaycases, this was all i could come up with for something that can be added to a selfmade trophyroom. Wonder how much of a pain it will be to actually make a working model and then place it in a house without stuff flying from it once you leave the room. Could the code be 'cut' from a mannequin model?

So... has anyone seen a dragon do this?
Sjakies123 replied to GrimyGhost's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Killed about 30 dragons now and i havent seen it pick up npc's from the ground, fly around and then drop them. Did get eaten/thrown around while it was on the ground a few times though. -
that fixed it. does need to be in the same cell idd. Here's how i did it: shot a basket to get those bound arrows stuck in and after 14 arrows in that basket, i noticed the one in the dresser was gone, nr 15 in the basket, made the one in the chair vanish as well. after that i picked up the basket into my inventory and dropped it again: all gone thx guys

ill try this out soon, so i need to be in the same room/cell for this to work? going to another cell/zone does not count towards the limit of arrows used?

CTD - Textures missing, No error messages
Sjakies123 replied to SaikouTenshi's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I have this bug as well, quite random really. No idea what causes it, but i usually have a CTD not long after. Since i started using the Skyrim4GB.exe it does happen much less and i hardly have ctd's anymore (maybe once in 4-6 hours, good reminder to get out of my chair and do something else) Also using the Nvidia beta drivers with ambient occlusion forced on atm which gives a small fps hit, but no noticeable extra troubles since i started using those. This is an example of what used to be the problem for me: -
so i decided to play around with a bound bow in my house in Markarth and now there are 2 bound arrows stuck in my furniture that i cant get rid of. The bow has long run out (i holstered it) but the arrows stay stuck in a dresser and a chair for quite a number of gamedays allready. Since you cant pick up bound arrows like normal ones: are they now there for ever? Anybody have a fix for this or an idea that might help?

NEW Nvidia GeForce 290.36 with changes for Skyrim!
Sjakies123 replied to ThatKidLuke's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
These did wonders for the atmosphere in Skyrim for me, looks good indoors and out. Indoors might look like it got slightly darker, but that can be just my gut feeling. I did notice something weird i did not before: At the coast when i look at the watersurface farther away from me, i get this weird bug where i can see whats under the surface while standing on dry land myself (not the kind where i dip my eyes just below the surface) but its like an inverted shadow cast from the plants down below. it also fecks up the water surface making it really blurry where this effect does not happen. It's a minor bug i did not notice before. Not sure if its because of these drivers. Im not using any mods that mess with the water. -
Except for Hjerim, i own all of them (think quest for that bugged on me) so far i like Markarth the most. Solitude is nice and big but needs much more storage space in the basement. I dislike Honeyside in Riften the most, i find it rather small. With all the nice improvements in bookcases, displaycases, weaponracks and mannequins i cant wait to build my own home when the Creation Kit becomes available.

How do you alchemists keep track of your experiments?
Sjakies123 replied to vorius's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
If you have already made it and it didn't work, it will be greyed out. If you've already made it and it did work, it will show you what potion you'll get out of it before you make it instead of displaying "potion of unknown effect". This is not true though... I know I tested it - I combined 3 ingredients and got no potion. Then if i gain selected one of the ingredients the 2nd and 3rd ones remained white, not greyed out. This does work for me though. Here's how i do it: i select the ingredients tab at the top of the menu. If i now click 1 ingredient, some of them will become greyed out because i tried that combination allready, but if i add a 2nd ingredient, those might light up again because i have not tried that 2nd one with all those other ingredients. but once you tried that combo it should grey out your 1st ingredient when you only select the 2nd one, but not everything that was combined before, so it wont grey out everything you combined with that 1st one if you only select your 2nd one since you have not tried those combos yet. The minute you have selected 2 ingredients at the same time, everything lights up, this is true, so you have to select 1 ingredient at a time to see what combos you tried wit that one. Clearing your selection (press F by default) over and over again after checking 1 plant is very much recommended when looking at the total list or else everything stays white :excl: So far using a 2nd (and then a 3rd) ingredient makes almost everything light up again, because there are just to many possible combinations if you use 3 instead of 2 ingredients. ill grant that is a pain, but it is also the faster way of discovering effects. Adding a random 3rd ingredient to an existing potion recipe is a good idea to discover effects, but idd, it wont show you if you tried that 3-way combination allready. Alchemy this way has become a way of trial and error, frankly i like this better then how it was before. Im not gonna say it adds realism, but it does make a lot of sense to me since it now pays to buy potion recipes from vendors. -
Dragon AI isnt very good: i once hunted one in the wilderness, I was the only one that attacked it, did a bit of damage yet it ignored me and flew off rather far, i kept following it for a while till i got tired of it and i started walking a different direction, suddenly it was all over me  kinda like that first dragon you saw.

Do enemies and found items [containers too] respawn?
Sjakies123 replied to pablo88's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
They did for me, i cleared a keep and later got a quest that send me back there, all enemies inside and outside did respawn. Maybe it was because of the quest, but items like food and potions (which i all took on my 1st go) where back as well. So it is safe to assume that everything does respawn. Can't tell you how much gametime there was between raids though. -
Thats an excellent idea. Will it keep npc's from kneeling by the ashpile and commenting on it?

Is it possible to be a pure caster????
Sjakies123 replied to Russelcoight's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Staff of Sanguine people (or was it Rose? its a staff with a rose on top anyway) i never bothered with the atronachs, since this gives you a dremora lord that tanks for you  Im a bit sleepdeprived so might have it wrong but.. If your using a destruction spell that is higher level then the perk that goes with it; you will run OOM really fast casting those and they wont do max damage. check your spellbooks and perks before you decide to use certain spells. IIRC In Oblivion you could not cast destruction spells below your destruction level untill you hit the cap at 25, 50, etc. Skyrim does not work like that, you can just cast aways if you have the spell and a manapool, but those higher level spells wont work as well then and cost way more mana. It's a bit of work, but once you got it down, you can cast higher level spells with much smaller mana costs and increased damage. Once you figured it out only bosslike mobs might give you some trouble, but i got a fireball staff for those. eg: dont use adapt fire spells if you never bothered to upgrade from novice. The only exception might be to use those if you know that certain npc's are really vulnerable to fire The only real melee weapon i use is a dagger with a soultrap enchant on it to deliver finishing blows or fill those petty gems -
only got 2 words really: NPC + pathfinding
