  1. Elemental Potency makes for stronger Atronachs, but does it effect the Thrall? (Which is basically just a permanent Atronach).
  2. I finished the Winterhold College questline and still can't seem to find conjuration spells and alteration spells above apprentice. I'm going nuts looking for them! Please help!
  3. I currently have to clear out Labrynthia in my Winterhold College quests. I can't seem to find any vendors besides the handful of spells I've had since level 5 or so. Please help.
  4. also, when you say middle of enhancement, do you mean ignore extra effect? the final perk. or do all of the far left ones also just to unlock that final one?
  5. Wow, helpful info, thanks. So you reccomend speccing just one element (fire for me), conjuration, and middle of the enchanting tree? Obviously this gives no room for anything else.
  6. I was leaving the College of Winterhold, and he was perched above it. I'm happy to say that it went down pretty easily, just shooting some firebolts. Probably would have been much more difficult for melee. Score one for the mages!
  7. So, I'm using a pure mage, specializing in conjuration and destruction. As I find more and more enemies that are resistant to a certain element, it seems like it may be a good idea to specialize in two elemental perk trees (ie. fire and ice). This way, down the road, I will never be unable to damage a certain enemy effectively. My main concern is that doing this will use up perks that I hope to use on enchanting. Thoughts from anybody who is level 20+?
  8. 1) I am using conjuration, but so far the summons are not tanks as much as extra damage that can take a few hits. 2) No perks around this. To the best of my knowledge.
  9. It seems to me that mages are at a tremendous disadvantage. My pure mage relies heavily on companions to do the tanking, but if I misfire a spell and kill companion, they die. FOR GOOD. If companions are killed by NPCs, they are revived at the end of the battle. I find myself reloading games more because I accidentally kill my companion than because I actually die. It seems like there needs to be some way around this, because I'm sure that this doesn't occur to melee oriented classes. Anybody else have this experience? That being said, this is probably the best game I've ever played
