I'm just frustrated that all people suggest the same thing:
-look in the task manager
-reinstall steam
-restart your computer
like they think i didn't do anything of this in the last 3 weeks
when people suggest that the basically say: "you are to dumb do use google"

And, notwithstanding your call to not make suggestions, I'll make just one (that's eluded steam support in the past): call up your task manager and check what's under the "processes" tab to see if some version of the steam.exe is running despite it, well, not being visibly running. I've had that on exceptionally rare occasions, and it prevents steam from opening on your desktop. (If so, end the process.)
and this is exactly why i don't wan't anyone to make suggestions: the hangup tasks are a so well known problem with steam that EVERYONE suggests them, if you google for problem with steam all that's shows up is this, if this would be the problem i wouldn't have contacted the support, i know that this happens sometimes!
The thing is that there IS NO f***ing TASK from steam, that's the problem i have!!!

hi guys, I have a strange question today:
is there any possibility to start Fallout 4 without having to have steam active?
i know that sounds like i wanted to play a pirated version of the game but at this moment this is my only possible solution
for over 3 weeks now, my steam client isn't starting anymore and even the steam support wasn't able to find a solution
(please don't try to suggest any solutions, everything was already tested. running as admin, reinstalling steam, removing other programs... nothing works.)
i really want to play some Games again, especially Fallout
i don't mind anymore if the solution is legal or not, i just want to play the games i paid for again

it seems i have found a workaround of this quest with 3 commands, don't know if it will work always but maybe makes the modding a little bit easier
-first start the quest "Home Sweet Home"
then enter the 3 commands in this order
1. CompleteQuest xx000804
2. SetStage xx000805 10
3. SetStage xx000805 00

u will now teleport to a bunker where 2 of the 3 gang leader wait for u
don't worry the loading screen seems normal
the 2 gang leader are the ones who get more territory than the third one, it could be that only one gang is there if u give all most territory in nuka world to a single gang, don't know this exactly
now speak to them and the quest should start

could someone please make a mod that just turn on this stupid energy at nuka world? i want to see the rides working and not overrun my own settlements with raiders.
it is sooo annoying, i try to get to the end of these damn quests for ages, teleport to nuka world, then to the commonwealth, then to a settlement, back to nuka world, to the commonwealth and so on, just to get ONE raider settlement established, this quest is annoying as hell
i just want to get the damn energy on in nuka world, so i can use the workshop of the nuka rocket gas station
otherwise a mod that allows to jump over this quest without having to create a single raider colony in the commonwealth would probably even do better
hope someone can help with this, and correct bethesda's stupidest quest ever!

have found a way to start the game for me:
if u have a ctd while loading a save do the following steps:
1: start Fallout without F4SE
2: load your save
3: create a new save
4: close Fallout
5: start Fallout with F4SE
6: load the save you have done without F4SE
has worked for me
(do not activate or deactivate any mods while you do any of this steps, if u have done so, start at the first step again)

i can start Fallout without the script extender already but not with it, and as long as this problem exist i doubt that the F4SE mods will be updated

Just have Update the Mods not the Mod Manager, so it shouldn't have corrupted the Manager itself

not really a FO4 Problem but i don't find a sub forum for the Mod Manager
I have had a small power failure while i was updating my mods, and now the Mod manager won't start anymore
please help me

seems i have still one big problem that isn't explained in the tutorial:
where are the models? i can't find them
i have searched through the Fallout 4 Files for hours now, are they compressed or hidden or so?

while playing the Far Harbor DLC i discoverd this old sailboats, and the first thing i thought was "would be great to live in one of these"
but cause there is no sailboat player home i decide it is time to start modingi already have found some tutorials of the basics but there is a problem i can't find a solution for
cause the game don't seem to have parts that would fit to a sailboat interior, i want to create some by myself
i already have a lot of experience with blender
the problem is that i want to export the sailboat model to blender so i can get the proportions right,
but i can't find a way how to do this, i only found a tutorial for skyrim but it seems not to work for Fallout :sad:anyone know how to do this?
and btw, a explanation how to import the new models then would be great, too :happy:

so my troubleshooting is over (was working very fast, i wish troubleshooting in city skylines would be so easy)
it come out that it seems to be "Graffiti 2 Electric Boogaloo"
i never would have suggested this mod to be the partycrasher o_o -
yesterday steam has updated my game to the new version, so my first steps today was to upgrade nexus mod manager and the script extender, but it seems that one of my mods is not yet compatible for the new Version
the game seems to run so far but when i try to open the Building Mode for settlements it crashes, don't matter if i do it over the workbench or the shortcut
i know that it sometimes can take a few days till a mod gets updated but it would be nice to at least know which mod is causing the Problem
(i would guess it is settlement keywords cause it makes the biggest changes, but don't know exactly)
maybe someone else have had the same problem and know which mod is causing this
my plugin list should be attached as file
ps:the crash is a simple closing/back to desktop crash, no crash reports or windows error message appear
i will try some troubleshooting myself, maybe i find the problem, then i will post it here, for people that have the same problem

I have tryed to play Fallout 4 with mods today and after some problems that i have fixed in a small time, the game started and it seems that it work very well with one exception
when i'm in the settlement building menu it seems to work first but when i go to Structures > Wood or Structures > Metal the game crash when i hover over the walls button, don't know if other parts in this section even do this, but the other parts seem to work without a problem
I hope the comunity can help me with this, maybe i just miss a compatibility mod
