  1. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php i'd recommend doing the beta patch. It has it's own launcher and works good the majority of the time. some videos http://www.youtube.com/user/Left4Friends/videos?view=1 good amount of dayz videos, generally funny Destiny plays Dayz love the game
  2. Whenever i try to install tytanis 1.0 or higher i get an I/O device error, and whenever trying to uninstall tytanis .52 NMM crashes. Any ideas? Already posted to the bug tracker and to the NMM bug report section (though that rarely gets looked at it seems).
  3. i've learned, it seems, that pure any school is rather horrible. Generally you need to have two schools going and then either 1 handed/archery or a third school. Sanguine rose is incredibly for a mage to use, i'd always recommend getting it. Getting the right companion is always good, and equiping him to benefit your style of magic can make the companion simply fantastic. Also, ECHANTMENT. Once you get real high in enchanting you can get 25-40% a school per item. Generally i do a hood of fortify magicka/regen, robes of fortify magicka/regen and then everything else is a school reducer. I also heavily recommend getting the tytanis mod, or the ring of summoning and Midas Magic mod if possible. my mages are like this Conjuration Destruction One-handed/archery and i generally have some thralls late game or just a staff of summoning or atronarch spell to beef me up. Then, depending on the enemy i'll either use adept/expert des spells to support or i'll conjure up a bound bow/sword and support the atronarchs/thralls. Illusion Conjuration Restoration This is a rather odd one, i do the same stuff with the thralls/summoning/atronarchs that i did before, but i use illusion and restoration to basicaly support the thralls. Kinda boring but its similar to the White Mage idea. Destruction Alteration this is a tough one, but very fun once you do it. The basic idea is getting a companion (or if you added in conjuration) thralls and giving them armor with high magicka resistance enchantments. You then use alteration on you to make yourself pretty well defended while you cast master level magic. The point of the enchanted companion is that if you want to focus on Master Fire, you can get him near 100% resistance with just 2 items easy, which allows you spam all fire magic without any worry what so ever.
  4. the only known fix for that is using console commands, so unless you can figure out how to activate it..... but what you'd do is help "sigdis gaulderson" 4 player.placeatme "refid" then if he's alive (if you got the wrong id) console kill him for amulet fragment. for xbox though, i think this is unsolvable now. Known glitch in the game.
  5. look at all the tensions in the real world between religion. Look at Islam and Christianity and Judaism. The key diference between each one is that there is an ADDED person to the pantheon. For christianity it is judaism, and the jewish people couldn't accept him as the messiah and this caused a shitload of problems. Then there is Islam, where the biggest difference was that christianity said there would be no more prophets, and then muslims believe Muhammad was/is a prophet. The type of war shown with the Thalmor/Empire is the same type of war that has been fought throughout history. ALSO, from what we can tell, the Thalmor dont disbelieve in Tiber Septim, just in Talos. This sounds weird but it makes sense. They believe in the man that became more then a man, they just consider it sacrilege that he is treated on the same level as the Aedra/divines. I for one, am surprised that the war in skyrim wasn't over Shor and Sovngarde, but i dont really know how those two would fit into the whole scheme of things.
  6. i think this is one of those cases where just not enough people liked it. It's kinda like the people who want to scale the map so it takes a few hours to actually walk anywhere. Some people like it, others dont, so why program it in.

Basically, i'm thinking a mod that reworks the higher levels of conjuration in a way that will little effect on actual gameplay, but a huge effect on the overall play style of a conjuration mage. What i'm thinking of Necromantic changes Dead Thrall In a dungeon/quest you can find an item that, when placed in a house, allows for infinite thralls to be placed in the house. The basis for this is that you can amass an army of thralls and choose ones for the situation, without any worry of sudden dead body disappearance. Thrall skills level as they are used, just like player. Health/magic/stamina scale as you level. Thralls can be equipped, traded with, and ordered just like a Follower. Mind Controlling new spells - Control Being, Forced Loyalty, Total Assimilation. Control being - This is an apprentice level spell that allows for short term control of any being under 50% health (giants, dragons, dragon preists, etc) under level 20. Life of spell is same as a conjure atronarch. Forced Loyalty - This is an expert level spell that allows for short term control of any being under 25% health (above exceptions included) and under level 40. Life of spell is twice that of a Conjure Atronarch. Total Assimilation - Master spell that allows for short term control of any being under 10% regardless of level (same exceptions). Life of spell is permanent. Anyone that falls under this spell is treated like a Follower. They will either A. Go on with their normal life until called for if they own a shop, are a member of a faction and live at the faction home, or is just another normal NPC B. Go to a random home you own, a faction house you are a member of, or be at inns in the major cities if none of the above are available. The idea of the mind control is to have a non killing way of getting dead thralls and they wont be all moaning all the time, it also wont get the same response as if you had an atronarch or a thrall from NPCs, as they would be seen as just people. Another way of looking at it is that you will be assimilating the entire country on your way to conquest of tamriel. Bound Changes When at 100 conjuration, all bound weapons will do double damage to anyone. Added perk that increases bound weapons attack speed and then another 90 conjuration perk that allows for permanent bound until you recast or sheathe. Atronarch changes Dual Casting atronarch thralls makes the atronarchs twice as strong. these are just my ideas for conjuration. Is there a mod out there that does any of this, anyone interested in doing one?
  8. are you still doing this? i've been working out details that i was gonna put in mod request and i have a lot of plans with details (only would post basic ideas to see if you like it first though.
