I endorse this post! i think slings should absolutely be in game, this weapon is still in use today by shepherds around the world and was still in use in medieval times by the Portuguese and the Spanish, in the Americas it was used by many cultures such as the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas.In the Norse sagas Búi Andríðsson used nothing but a sling, so there is evidence that the vikings used these, including the sling's cousin the Staff sling (fustibalus) There is a few problems to put this into a mod in skyrim in terms of programing and usefulness and i am sure its a big headache for Modders. The animation of the swing and the release point of the sling when it shoots is very tricky to program, there is a Throwing Weapons mod which uses the 1h-weapon animation and when the projectile is released it has very bad accuracy and it takes like half a second for your projectile to move, which is a problem when your enemy is moving around, you add the swinging of the weapon beforehand and making a brand new animation for it will prove a challenge for modders, and the fact that many people consider these weapons a joke against armour it will be difficult for someone to make this.
