Fallout used to crash maybe every three or four hours. Now it might do it every twenty minutes and maybe not even that. I have a few mods installed but im not sure if that is it. Usually when it freezes, it just starts playing a certain piece of audio over and over again until i restart my computer. Please help and thanks in advance.

I'm kind of a noob and don't really know anything about modding. I'm mainly looking to improve graphics on skyrim not many other mods , i have already downloaded nexus mod manager but i dont know if I need anything else. If I do could you tell me what i need and how to do it? If I dont or even if i do could anyone tell me what are the best mods to get? I have a gtx 960 and an i5 4460 so im not too worried about specs.
