When I see trouble ahead, I usually dismount my horse and leave it behind so that it will not be killed in battle. After the battle, I then have to run back to the horse to get back on it. I would like to see a mod that would allow you to signal your horse that it should run to a position near you. This would be like the cool feature in "Red Dead Redemption" that if your horse is within ear shot it will run to you, if you whistle.
