I noticed the shrine as well and would love to know what mod added it. You can lead a follower to it and use it like the original shrine, but nothing happens after the sacrifice. -
Are you running Expanded Cities? That one could be an issue as well.

I had the same CTDs but I was able to avoid a complete reinstall by uninstalling all player house related mods, quest mods and by reinstalling any mod that changed my character's meshes/skeleton (e.g., CBBE, etc.). For me, the main culprits were Dragon Falls Manor (house), The Bigger They Are (quest), And the Realms of Daedra (quest), and reinstalling Dimonized UNP Body (meshes/skeleton). I'm looking forward to reinstalling these mods once the next patch is released :)

I have some Oblivion face mesh/textures, but they're separated into different body parts - ears, mouth, face. Does anyone know if there's an easy way of converting them to Skyrim? Or does it involve using a 3D modelling app to combine the pieces into the Skyrim femalehead.nif/dds? Thanks! :)

Obviously, we either get it or we don't. If the CK comes out in the next few weeks, as per countless other games, all of the people screaming and waving pitchforks will start yelling 'Yay, Bethesda. We knew we'd get the CK - you are the best company and so thoughtful of your customers'. If you need proof, look at any game forum... even this one was ready to burn Bethesda in effigy after the game was released because of the lack of 4GB support and the countless game crippling bugs (hello, PS3). But quickly after the patch was released, the boards we're filled with happy and singing Bethesda fans, who were the same people ready to throw their copy of Skyrim under the bus only a day earlier. If the CK doesn't come out before February 1st (or at all), then I imagine Bethesda has no idea the backlash that will happen. I can't even imagine the consequences of failing to provide something they told their customers was (initially) going to be included, and a tool that has historically extended the life of your games through this community (and others). At this point, I don't care. I've seen the posts each day that ask "Where is the CK?" on this and other forums, and I can understand the frustration from the lack of communication. I'm already disappointed with the quality of the game they released and the time it's taken to turn around fundamental bug fixes. Maybe next time they'll take a cue from a company (or companies) that do things right (i.e.,. CD Projekt Red).

I agree with a lot of the disappointment in this thread. I played through Skyrim for 80+ hours, worked on some mods, and kept feeling like there was something missing. I felt the same way after I played Oblivion, put it down for a few months, played it again and then ultimately shelved it. It's something I didn't feel with Morrowind - for some reason, Morrowind just got its teeth into me and I was hooked at exploring, reading everything, following through each quest line and most importantly (to me), maintaining the lore and roleplaying my character. Honestly, it just seems like each subsequent game after Morrowind has been watered-down, to the point where it shows more in common with the Dragon Age franchise as opposed to standing above it (note: I've played both DA games: the first was good but not as good as an ES games, and the second was the worst game I've played in a long time). As ridiculous as this sounds, I'd almost prefer if Bethesda created a massive world with all of the necessary elements (NPCs, textures, dialogue, etc.) and focused on giving us a powerful, easy-to-use Creation Tool and then just give it to the community and say: "Here's the game and the Creation Tool - you care more than we do about the details, so you create the quests, adhere to the lore, write the books, design the world.... good luck and have fun." Then they could cut the price of the game, and let the community (who works so hard at bringing the game to the next level) make some money off of selling packaged mods that would include cities, NPCs, quests, etc. Oh well, I'm heading back to my newly re-installed Oblivion and the 60+ mods I've downloaded - now it looks like and feels like the game I thought it would be when it was named the successor to Morrowind. Skyrim's just going to have to wait...

Thanks - I saw the top looked similar when I was looking through Nexus, but the bottom and legs/arms seemed different (at least the waist piece is more detailed in the photo). Oh well - cheers!

The repetitive (and inappropriate) sound bites that the NPCs say when you're close to them (and by close, I mean within 50 feet). Because of that, I think it's made me loathe a lot of the voices as well - the Nord male voice that sounds like Arnold Schwartzenegger, the male voice that sounds like a Used Car salesman (e.g., Belethor of Belethor's Goods in Whiterun), etc. Not to mention, when they say something that inappropriate, like when you're the leader of the guild and the NPCs use the same sound bites they used when you were a new recruit. I'd honestly rather they didn't say anything at all. -
I get the feeling there isn't much communication between Daedric Lords or Boethiah may have had second thoughts in making me their 'Champion' knowing I was in cahoots with every other Daedric Lord that presides over Tamriel. Seriously, how hard would it be for them to do a little background checking? "Well Fallstor, we went ahead and did a little checking into your history here in Skyrim, and it appears you really 'get around' when it comes to Daedric Lords. I don't think this will work out, so I'm going to make Farly the One-armed Orc my new Champion. Best of Luck in your future soul-selling endeavors."

I added some fur trim to a dress mod of mine: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4041 If that's what you're thinking about, it could be expanded to fit a cloak or armour trim.

I was hoping to move one of my mods into an ESP, so I've read the forums/tutorials on TESSNIP and everything was good, until now. I've used an item (clothing) as a source, and created different versions of it and now, since I have different versions (3 versions each of a hat, boots, torso), I want to give the meshes and textures new folder names (obviously because they can't stay the same name if running at the same time). I've set up the GRUP (ARMO) and GRUP (ARMA), but the items only work in the game if I use the original name/folder structure, which means I can't use more than one of the items at a time (or the original) at the same time. Is there some unique identifier I'm missing in the GRUP (ARMO) and GRUP (ARMA) that looks for the original file/folder name? Or did I miss a step when creating the ESP? Thanks!

I've been trying to learn how to use Nifskope, and so far this board (and good ol' Googlin) has helped immensely. Unfortunately, today I copied a body mesh to an outfit mesh and there's a lot of clipping/tearing. I've tried adjusting the Translation and Rotation (Transform > Edit), but the body mesh is too big around the shoulders. I've tried different body meshes, but the only ones that work don't have shoulder textures (which I really would like). Is there a way around this using Nifskope? Or do I have to make the next leap to Blender?
